I will take you from little or no knowledge of chest to somebody who can play online chest or sit down confidently and played a game of chance with friends or family or somebody over a coffee table. The course will teach. You are the basics of chest, ranging from the names of the different pieces and how they move to how you can win test games. And if you want to be ready for that next chest game, I will see you on the inside. 2. Understand The Chessboard & Chess Pieces: Hello, guys. This video is all about understanding the chessboard and the pieces on the board. Let's start with the board. You can see that they're a different rose labelling from 1 to 8 and also a different columns from a to age in chess Rose call ranks and columns, alcohol files. So this is actually the A file. This is the B fire and then the C five and so on. And we got this one is the first rank, and then we have the second rank, the third ranked fourth ring and so on. You can also see that the squares ah, alternating between dark color and a white color and each of the square has a different name. For example, this one, it's a D four square. Uh, the lettuce always come before the numbers. For example, this one is the F six square. Okay, Now that you know the squares on the board, let's look at the different pieces and try to name them. So we have these little guys here in the second rank. They're called ponds P a W n. And this piece right here is collar, rook, and this one is night or Ah, horse. You can call it horse. Everyone, this is a bishop. And we have the queen and the king and bishop and night and look okay. And the black, half the same pieces mirror toe white. And this is basically the starting position on the board. And how do you know if you're going to set it up at home? How do you know if you set it up, right? An easy way to remember is that the white Queen always sits on the White Square at the sound of the game. And the black Queen always sits on the the dark square.
