Project Description

Draw a series of emotional facial expressions

ASSIGNMENT

Draw a series of emotional facial expressions while watching the speed drawing videos in this class. This assignment will teach you the physical features that make up an emotion, and is a great way to loosen up and get comfortable drawing strong facial expressions.

Be sure to download the Project Guide, which includes a blank face template you can use to complete your project. The guide will also help you remember and organize all the information you learn from the videos and help jumpstart your next character designs.

DELIVERABLE

Post your series of facial expressions (whether you completed the core project or the bonus challenge), and any process work you’d like to show in the Project Gallery to share with your fellow students and receive feedback! A complete project will include one of the following:

  • Core Project: 5 facial expression drawings
  • Bonus Challenge: 15 facial expression drawings
