1. Introduction to the Class: hi and welcome to the class on how to create a passel feed for Instagram. My name is Lorena, and I'm a creative virtual assistant. I taken combat to make a beautiful passel feet. In this class, we will be covering things like what is Gamba and why I chose it for this project. Creating a new file and what I mentioned to use how to create an edit text, how to add photos, vectors, frames on more how to cut your final image using a more while up or Photoshopped. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me Human skill share or DMG on instagram Abdul in a chopper dot I'm really excited to have you here, so let's begin with class 2. Why Canva + Custom Dimensions: welcome to the first lesson off this class. Before we start with the actual design, I wanted to briefly mention what ISS Camba and why I choose to design my parcel fits with it and not with another soft war like photo shop or illustrator. Number, according to Wikipedia, is a simple fight. Graphic Design tools website. It is used by non designers as well as professionals. On combat, you can design presentations, social media, graphics and much more. It has everything you need to create a simple design. I choose to work with Gamba on projects like this, basically because of the free tools it has to offer. We can use stock images, photo filters, Eichel's shapes and hundreds of different forms. If you're a graphic designer, you know that while working with photo shop or illustrator, it's definitely more professional. It's also more complex, and not everyone knows how to use this software. What I like about Camba is that it gives the known designers a chance to be able to design beautiful graphics, and it gives graphic designers a faster way to create. If you have never used camber before, don't worry, I will be teaching you everything you need to know, step by step. Now let's dive in. First we go to combat dot com. Sign up. If you don't have an account yet, you can sign up using Google, Facebook or your email. In my case, I already have an account, so I'm just going to love it. Once you're in, you will see that there's a lot of templates that Cumber gives us for free. But in this case we will click on custom dimensions. Let me explain real quick. Why on Instagram image is usually 1080 by 1080 but today we're not making one image. We're actually making Apostle off nine images in one. So with a little math, we multiplied 1080 by three, which means three columns and heroes and we get our custom dimensions 3240 by 3240. Now we click on create new design. You will see now that we have our image on white in the right and on the left, we have a lot of templates and options like photos, text elements and uploads, which we will learn to use throughout this class. Now we're ready to start our the sign 3. Add Grid + Photos: Okay. Now that we have our file created, we can start with the design process. First, we have to go to the elements. Stop here on the left. Once you're in, you will see all the elements available. For example, we have charts, frames, stickers, shapes and much more. For now, we're going to click on the grits option. We have to look for the one with three columns and three rows. Once you have clicked on it, you will see that our image is now divided and we can already see better. The idea that we're going for we're going to use discrete as a guideline to know where each little image starts and finishes. Once we complete the design, we will replace the grid with a background, so don't worry too much about it. The most important thing to have in mind when we design apostle feed is to look in detail each little image, making sure that they make sense when they are together and also in the year alone. Don't forget that each one of this is going to become opposed on your instagram, and it has to look good on its own to great the next thing, we have to choose our photos. For that, we have two options. First, we can upload our own photos on the upload tub. We click on, upload an image, and we select the ones we want for this project. I'm going to juice thes ones as an example here you can upload us well, your brand logo or your PNG photos. The other option we have is to use the stock photos that come about provides us. For that, we click on the photo stop. This is one of the reasons I love Campbell for these type of projects. You can find here hundreds of free stock photos without having copyright problems. Later here, you can see I'm typing nature, for example, to find photos that go with the vibe that I want. Now we can start to play a little with our photos. What I recommend in this part is that you moved their photos with the Arrow case in your keyboard, because when you move them with the mouse, it places the photo inside one grade. What I usually dio is placed my photos in a way that a little is left out. But the major part of the photo stays in one great. Another cool way to do it is to cut the photo to make it vertical and place it inside to greets. You could make it. Hurry, Santos. Well, as you can see, this is all. Try a whenever and moving things around. I think I like better this photo on the center and probably the one with the flowers on the left. It's important to make sure that your photos look good altogether or have the same vibe or the same colors to make our design more cohesive position in a copy of the same photo behind it and lowering the A pass ity, we can create a cool effect. I think it blends the image better with the background. Okay, there's no right or wrong way to do this, so don't stress too much about it. The important thing is that you get creative and experiment with your design. Once you're happy with your layout, I recommend that you luck your photos used in this little icon on the right. This way, you make sure you won't move them by accident later on. I'm definitely guilty of this, right? So take your time to play around with your photos and I will see you in the next step. 4. How to Add Text: welcome to the third lesson of this class. In this lesson, we will add and edit text in our design. First we click on the text up here, we can add a heading a subheading or a body text. Below this, we can see that camera has a lot of presets. Us Well, so we can use the preset like this one and change the text inside. If you don't want to use one of the text boxes you can on group and delete them. Once you have your text, you can start to play around with the color, size and funds. What I like to change sometimes is the spacing weaken space, the letters on the line height until we like how it looks now I might in a new text, but this time is not a preset is a heading. I am again playing with the spacing and color, and now I'm deciding on a front. Comfort has a lot of funds available, so you will 100% find one or a lot that you like. I decided to stick to the first phone that I found. Adding text is not a necessary step, so if you don't find their interesting. You can absolutely skip this lesson. I like to add quotes, mostly because I believe it looks good on the feed, and a lot of the times is inspiring for other people. I always make sure not to leave a lot of quotes next to each other because it can get repetitive or boring. Get creative with your text. You can use quotes from songs or books, affirmations, poems or maybe something you wrote. You can also out little text like this x o x o. I placed here something I see a lot of people do, and I really like is to duplicate the text and add two or three layers of different colors like I'm doing with this one is definitely on style right now is easy to do, and it creates a coal effect, right. So play around with your text at as many as you want, and I'll see you in the next lesson. 5. Add Elements + Background: welcome to lessen four on this class. In this lesson, I will show you how to add icons. Illustrations are make the final touches on your design. First, I want to show you the frames. For example, I'm going to change this photo for a frame and then place the photo inside. I think it creates something more original than just a plain photo. If you go to the featured or illustrations stuff, you can find a lot of drawings and illustrations. Ah, lot of the times you can change their colors to make it much your color palette or aesthetic. I can do it with these flowers now, do you? If you click on position, you can send an element backwards or forwards, depending on what you like. Don't forget to use this little tool because it makes all the difference. Radiance are another way to spice things up, and Camba has a lot of them. Editing them is really simple. You just elect two colors that you like and camera will do the rest. You can also play with the capacity if you want to tone it down a little here on adding a border or frame from the shape stop. I'm going to place it on this vertical photo. Sometimes a small detail like this one can make it seem a lot more cohesive. And give the idea that the photo belongs there. If it makes any sense, while you have the elements and final touches, it's okay to move things around like the photos or text. Just keep playing with it until you're happy with how it looks. Now I am on the illustration. Stop. I want to show you how put in some flowers or another line illustration. You can make the design feel like a whole. You can also use them to connect two or more greets. And really, that is the only rule. When creating a puzzle feed, the Greeks have to be connected by something off course. Camba has social media. I comes as well. In this case, I will be using the instagram icon, but you confined Facebook treater, etcetera. Again, you can change the colors of vehicles, which is super easy inconvenient. Now I'm going back to the text up and I'm adding a heading. To write my instagram account during something like this is a great solution when you're not sure what to put on a great keep designing and I will see you now with the final product. As you can see, I added some more flowers and little details, and now we are ready to change the background. First thing we need to do is to click on the greed, make sure you're not about to delete anything else on your design. And now we click on delete. I already love it and it looks so much better. You can leave it like this if you want to. Or if you feel like it's to clatter to choose a background, we click on the background tab. Here we can select an image or a color. You can also upload your own background photo on the upload stop like I teach you in lesson to. But for this example, I'm going to choose one from here. This is the background I selected for my parcel feed. The only thing that I don't love how it looks is the color of this text. So I'm going to adjust it. Okay. Now I think it looks better. Feel free to change anything you want and make the final touches on your decide. Once we're done, we click on Publish and we download. Here we come download in PNG Pdf, etcetera. I recommend to go with BMG because the quality is better. We click on download and we have are designed. I will see you in the final listen. 6. How to Cut the Image (Mobile App + Photoshop): welcome to the final lesson off this class. I'm going to show you how to cut your final design and have it ready to post on Instagram. First, we will see how to do it using the mobile up photo. Great. This is the easiest way to do it. Your image may lose a little resolution, but nothing massive. So first we opened the up off course we click on for regrets and we select our image here. You can see we have some options to crop it. But remember, we need the one with three columns and three rows. Once you selected, we click on next two times. Now you can add some filters and stuff if you want to. And then we click here and it's done. The cool thing about this up is that it tells you in which order you have to upload your photos. Now all you have to do is click on the 1st 1 and start posting, right? So now I'm going to show you how to do the same thing. But would photo shop? The good thing about Photoshopped is that the quality and resolution are way better. So first I opened the program and select my image. I have the 2017 version of Photo Shop, but they should work on any other version as well. Now we click on do you a new guide layout. Here we click on custom and we specify three columns and three rows. Make sure that the gutter is at zero. Now we click on. OK, okay, Now we're going to click on the slice tool and click on slices from guides. You can see now how our image is divided. This is a very important step. Now we click on file export and save for Web. Here we can change what type of file we want. I will leave it on PNG, but you can change it and choose the one that you want and we click on safe. Once you're in the folder you selected, you will see that there's a new folder called Images, where you will find all the images you just created. All that's left to do is change the name of the photos so you don't miss up later when you want to post them, and that's it. Now you have everything ready to start uploading if you have any questions? Police message me and I will be happy to help. Thank you. And I will see you in another class. 7.
