Transcripts

1. Presentation: In this course, I'm going to teach you how to use clips to paint, to draw a dragon. We're going to use an already existing image to get inspiration from there. We're going to trace all the outlines and then to add the color. In the end, you will get some techniques to draw easily dragons with clips ToDo pane. 2. Drawing based on a picture, part 1: Here is the challenge. The challenge is to draw this dragon has, this is probably one of the more important character in the story of gamma thrown. We have to draw it and make sure that it looks like a dragon. This is why I am taking this picture from the movie and I will use it to create this comic book character. Undoing light in the other videos and taking the picture and putting the opacity to 14, creating a layer above it. And we will try to transform this dragging into a creature with black outlines. And always starting by the eyes. I am first drawing the outlines. And again, already put some black zones here. Will have to do something simply. Simplify. This design. Can teach my selection tool and start filling with the black curve. And what seems very hard to do is to draw all these stuff here that with c, with this technique. And it could be simple ones. Then when you are done with the secretion of this black part, you work all the details around this part with a thin brush. And you can work on the different parts. Here. We can say that the dragon is composed of scales and we can draw. 3. Inking the dragon: You can see this, we can simplify. Here. We're going to fill with some this site to see that the use of black parts, the details on the other side gives to the states. For sports. 4. Inking a dragon, part 2: Then you make sure you leave some space here between form feature, we have something that's not too bad enough to complete. The features that we really have. Two parts. Something when you work from a Beecher, some boards are not very clear, so you have to imagine yourself. And when you have any doubts, you just create something that looks like okay, we've just worked the head. So he has something that really looks like a dragon. But I'm not going to draw all the rest of the body as it will teach you much more timeless. Only with this example. Now how you can do and how to use the black into fill your drawings. And sometime you have to stay with some white colour and something you have to fill with some black. Isn't really a question of filling em. More young join or you know, where you can, some black and whites. Then try again to King a new layer and put the products. And then let me just close like this just from the selection tool. 5. Completing the drawing: Then from there I can click the transparent and I can separate this. See you can do some scale effects using this technique. Now. Free size things. Some additional stuff here. Some, some colorful fire. Of course we can do it right now. Smooth, smooth here. Some white reflection on this game, and so on. Alright? So now you have the Dragon. If you want to draw the entire Dragon, it will be the same technique. But you see that we started from one picture and we did the inking and then color.
