Simple, straight forward instructions.
Clear, concise insructions. The pace was excellent; slow at the points of instruction, but faster at points of repetition. The artist pointed out areas that tend to cause anxiety because of a desire for perfection and assures that not only is perfection not needed, it's not to be desired, either. She showed how you can use simple shapes repetitively, in small areas to create a professional looking mandala. I now feel I can create a mandala I will love on the first attempt and be able to create more complex detailed mandalas with the confidence and skill that comes from practice . She also has a pleasant speaking voice.
This was a great class and I learned a lot. I'm not an artist and can barely draw, but I am excited to start practicing and put these techniques into action.

Illustrator and Designer - The most beautiful designs start with the simplest ideas.

Throughout my years of designing and illustration, I have experienced the greatest joy from sharing my passion for art and encouraging others to explore creativity through simple drawing and design, both by hand and digitally.

I believe the first step to accomplishing your goals and dreams is to just start.  Jump in and learn as you go.  Allow yourself to make mistakes for those are the best lessons.  Don't judge your work, just do and then do it again and do it some more.  Watch it evolve and look back with awe in how far you have come because you chose to just start!

My goal in my classes is to break the process down into simple techniques that everyone can try and then encourage and inspire students to keep experimenting and building on the ideas they have learned in my classes.  Practice and Patience are important with art, but even more important is to Enjoy the Process!  That is what it is all about.  Do what you love and love what you do.

Remember the most beautiful and detailed designs start with the simplest ideas.
