Project Description

For this class project you will need:

  • A large sheet of 140 lb. or higher Cold Press or Rough watercolor paper.
  • A yardstick or large ruler.
  • A medium sized brush.
  • An assortment of watercolors paints.
  • Clean water.
  • Paper Towel.
  • Pencel

For the class project, you will rip 3 pieces of watercolor paper (preferably cold press, or rough) down to a 7.5”x11” size using the techniques shown in this class.

On one, you will practice the wash techniques covered in class. On the other, you will practice the glazing techniques. Use any combination of colors you would like. Experiment with these techniques, and see what kind of textures and colors you can achieve.

Do as many of these sheets as you like, pick your favorite, and then share your results with the class by uploading it to the Project Gallery.

Bellow are the three samples I did from this class.
