About This Class

Want to learn Japanese? Join Miko, a Tokyo resident, and learn the very basics to the Japanese language.

In this class, you will learn Katakana. Katakana is the angular writing system used to simulate foreign words, onomatopoeia, and give emotional emphasis in manga. Since it is one of the trickiest writing systems in Japanese, it's best to learn this first.

Miko, a Japanese-American, graduated with a major in Japanese, and has been living in Japan since 2009.
