About This Class

After an introductory video explaining abstract art with examples from art history, 6 lessons are presented in separate videos -covering my own examples of abstract photography and theme 1 Abstract Sky; Abstract Nature; Abstract Water; Abstract Light; Constructed Abstract and lastly Filtered Abstract.

Though abundant examples and clear guidance in simple techniques, along with tips and tricks, students will discover how to use a low tech style in a no pressure format, in order to access the magic of abstract photography.

I have explored a wide range of art techniques and practices over the past 40 years and have completed formal studies to the level of Master of Fine Arts. As a child, my first love was photography and now I have come full circle, back to the magic of the image frozen in time. Abstract art is also a favourite and I enjoy transferring the qualities of that style across various art forms -painting, sculpture, video and photography.
