About This Class

Do you dream of becoming a paid music artist?  One that is recording, playing concerts, and getting paid to do it?  Or have you started within the last few years and you're unsure of how to do the business, marketing, or distribution sides of being a musician?  In this three-part class, I will take you step by step through how to start as a working musician.  I will be sharing with you everything I wish someone had told me when I started.  You will save tons of time and research by taking this class!

I've been an actively-gigging musician for about 15 years, but within the last few years I have become a serious, working independent musician.  Over the past 4 years I have taken numerous workshops from experts on various aspects of developing into a music artist.  This three-part class is a clear and concise summary on exactly what you need to know to do what I've done.

Part 1 (this class) will cover why you should treat your music like a business, how to do so, how to get started, what to track, how to set up your music budget, and what you need to know about taxes.
