Kitty Wynter

Freelance Artist and Photographer

My name is Kitty Wynter and I have been a freelance artist for about 10 years now. I started with photography shooting anything from weddings, model portfolios and commercial materials to abstract, dark works and heavy photo manipulation. From there I moved on to traditional art forms such as drawing and painting. Now I do anything from traditional and fine art works to scratchboard, spraypaint and clothing painting in a more abstract style.

I had always be into art of all forms, starting with dance  when I was 8 till a hip injury at 18 ended that for me. It was then that I began getting into art with the support of my father who to this day has been the biggest inspiration for me to keep going. Even if I had done a picture I wasn't happy with and threw away, he would take them out of the trash and hang them in the garage. I've found some of those old pieces and have started redrawing them to see how far I've come.

My work has been featured both in print and online, my first being in Photography Inc. The cover of the article was a wedding photo I had taken for my first ever wedding shoot when I was at the ripe old age of 18 . Since then I've been featured as a DeviantArt artist spotlight, on Talenhouse's main page,  and in local art magazines and online forums.

My husband and I were married in 2013 and it's our combined last names that created my artist name of Wynter. After buying our first house here in Chesapeake VA and having my own office and drawing space I'm happy to get working on new art projects and see where it takes me.

I'm now at a point in my life where I'm ready to make art my full time career.  While I prefer doing abstract fine art pieces, I am comfortable doing most commissions asked of me. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to send me a message and I'll be sure to get back to you!
