There is no firm date on when it was created but it’s said to be created in Southeast Asia quite a long time ago, i.e. 77 a.d. It is very easy to make and can definitely be made with just a whisk and a bowl, no need for a stand mixer.

I have always been crazy about bread since i was a kid, my earliest bread memory was when my mother would send me to the local bakery Langhoff's bakery in Silkeborg, Denmark to pick up a freshly baked bloomer, wrapped in a piece of paper.

My mother would cut some thick slices, of the bloomer a generous layer of butter and fresh strawberry jam, i was the happiest kid in the world, to me it was magic.

When i was around 11-12 years old, i would deliver newspapers on bike in the morning before i went to school, and at the end of my route i would knock on the backdoor to the local bakery, and have a chat with the baker, exchange a fresh newspaper with a fresh Danish pastry and one day he asked me if i wanted to come and work in the bakery, to help out a bit with the cleaning of... 1. Banana bread intro: Hello everybody. In today's video, I'm gonna make some banana bread. And who doesn't love banana bread? I do. The portion might seem a little bit big, but I'm making for three banana bread. So if you wish to make less, you can scale down the recipe. You may have forgotten quarter it. But for, for this recipe I need nine bananas. The learning some water on it, some self racing flour and some sugar, and some baking soda. I'm gonna need some x, my vanilla extract. Normally you would put some hazelnuts, walnuts, or any kind of knots in it. But this portion today, I'm not gonna put nots. I'm gonna put a little bit of chocolate instead, because I'm making it for one person that doesn't like nuts. 2. Cream the butter and sugar: So we're starting off with a 330 grams of butter that is at room temperature, so it's a little bit soft. And then we're going to add 570 gram of shut up. So let's go. And then we're going to, going to cream this. I'm just going to mix it a little bit with my hands because it makes it a lot easier. If you want, you can do this on your on your staff McCloy, and do it on your food processor. What is really important that you are bada, it's at room temperature. Even to the soft sites. Mine is a little bit cold still. So so when everything is nice and creamy like this. 3. Mix in the eggs: Then we're going to start adding our x. And this recipe I need 6X one by one. And then we're gonna mix it into our shoe armada. We don't want to put all the eggs. Has got to be it's got to be splitted. When it's time for big number two. That's number three. At some point is easier to swap for a whisk. Ec number for next week. Week number five. He does g1 with scaling this up to 20. And then the final sixth edge. 4. M ix in the dry ingredients: Now we're going to add some vanilla extract. I want to add two teaspoons. And then we're going to add our baking soda. I'm using three teaspoon. And I'm just gonna whisk alum as well. And for this recipe I'm using self racing flour. And we need 720 gram. If you cannot get hold of self-policing flower, you can use normal flour and then you can use baking powder and need one teaspoon of baking powder for a 150 grams of flour. Self racing flower. Wanna incorporate that into our butter and egg mx dot, make them. And try and not get it all over your kitchen. This part is probably easier to use a spandrel and kind of fall in that flower. And you may think that this is a little bit stiff. But remember one thing, we haven't added this dial, this show, we haven't added the bananas. And that will make all the difference. 5. Mash the bananas: So now that you have your base for your banana bread, we're going to put that aside a little bit. Then we're going to start preparing our bananas. And I have nine really ripe bananas here. And it doesn't matter if they're brown. The more ripe, the better. Because they have a lot more flavor. When Brown. And break them up a little bit as I go. And if you have some bananas that are starting to go off, and it's really a good way to make use of the bananas instead of throwing them away. That was our five moved banana. I have a potato measure like this one, and that is perfect for mashing bananas. You can just use a fork if you don't have one of these. So you just really want to get in, was those banana. We really want to get in there and get the mask properly. There we go. 6. Mix bananas in to your batter: So now we're gonna take our data and we're going to dump that into the bananas. And then we're just gonna incorporate the, the, and the banana makes jump. And when you asked us to come together, it should look something like this. Iss and smooth or those bits of banana. 7. Mix in your nuts and chocolate: And at this point, you can add, you can add your nuts, walnuts or chocolate or whatever you like. I'm gonna use a little bit of chocolate. And I'm gonna use a 140 gram of dark chocolate, a 140 gram of white chocolate. And finally, one pinch of salt. And as you can see, this portion is a huge portion. 8. Prepare your tins: And now this dough is ready for our sins. So preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius and then regard, prepare our tens. So I'm just going to take a nobody and a little bit of paper, and then I'm going to raise the tenants to make sure that the banana Briscoe sticker, there we go. Now you're tens are ready for the battle. So I kind of just line them up like that and pour data into there. I'm not exactly sure how many unknown again, from this recipe. As I said, I tripled the recipe and I only have two of the victims. So I'm not really gonna make topic 11 small one. You want to leave a little bit of room, fight to rise. So we get two big 11 small one. 9. Bake the banana bread and final words: We just want to spread it out a little bit and now they're heading for the oven. And as I said, your oven to 160 degrees. And they're based on a bag around 50 minutes to an hour, depending on your oven. If you feel like that getting too dark, then after 25-minute, put a little bit of tin foil on top to prevent it from Browning and in further. So go ahead and pop these bad boys in the oven. And now let's wait for 50 minutes. So here's banana bread straight out of the oven. Don't they just look amazing? So to check if that finished taking either a fall, a sharp knife or a toothpick, and inserted and pull it out. And if it comes out clean, then you are. Your banana bread is ready. Now we just need to leave them to cool off a little bit before we can take them out of the temp and before we can slice it up. So now the banana bread has rested on a little bit and we can take them out of the tin. And if you quizzed them properly, they should come up. If not, you can run a knife down the side of the tip to release it. What should come out pretty easy every day? And now we just want to let them cool down a little bit more before we start to slice it defined to begin, let's try this banana bread. And they actually taste better if they're linked with warm. Just want to let them cool down shaken slices. And I don't think there's, there's no better way to have some banana bread. It's a cup of coffee. So what else do we want? Let's try this dark chocolate, white chocolate, bananas. Those from Asian.
