ABOUT THIS CLASS

This class is for anyone who wants to learn to create artistic, sophisticated and life like illustrations to use for different purposes - like art prints, greeting cards, stationery, pattern designs or illustrations for books, websites and magazines. With the help of an easy step-by-step process you will learn to draw your illustration by hand, from a real object or image/images and turn the drawing into a monochromatic and vectorized illustration. You can be a total beginner when it comes to drawing!

I really enjoyed this class, great to see the artists' method for creating art and tips for illustrating and "seeing' your subject in an artistic way. The sections on scanning and vectorising are very useful too.

Bärbel is a pattern designer and illustration artist from Stockholm, Sweden. Behind the brand Bear Bell she creates pattern designs and illustrations for a variety of materials and products. For example, you can find her patterns on clogs, sandals and shoes. She also runs a set of web shops where she markets a selection of products with her patterns and illustrations. Her design journey only started a couple of years ago, tired of her office job in marketing, wanting to do something much more creative. She quit that job and started Bear Bell Productions.
