Hello everyone,

My name is Ritu Sabharwal. I am a Software engineer by profession but I really love to cook both savory and sweet Indian dishes. I have started sharing my classes on Skill Share to teach simple and authentic Indian cuisine. 

This class is about cooking simple, easy, but yummy Indian Sabudana (Tapioca pearls) snacks/appetizers. I am going to teach how to make Sabudana Khichadi and Sabudana Vadas, the ingredients needed, and how to prepare and cook them.

Sabudana Khichadi:

Sabudana khichadi is an Indian dish made from soaked sabudana. It is served with plain yogurt or dahi. It is typically prepared in parts of Western India such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. It is one of the most common food eaten when fasting during Hindu festivals.

Sabudana Vadas:

Sabudana vadas is a traditional deep fried snack from Maharashtra, India. It is often served with spicy green mint chutney or tomato ketchup. It is a good evening snack and goes best with hot tea/chai and taste great when served fresh. In some parts of India, they are the best option to have during fasting.
