About This Class

Alcohol Ink is an amazing medium that is just now beginning to be noticed! In this course you will learn what Alcohol Inks are and how I use them to create a beautiful, bold, and spontaneous Moon-scape painting!

This is a beginner course. We will cover all the materials needed as well as how prepare your Yupo paper, what inks are, how they work, how to use them wet in wet to create a smooth background, how to layer inks for a detailed painting, and finally how to seal the painting.

This course will take you 2 hours or less to complete a painting.

I would give Kellie 6 stars out of 5....meaning so he goes above and beyond. I learned more techniques with alcohol inks in such a short amount of time. Kellie makes you feel relaxed as well as empowers you to try this art. This is a class for all levels. I look forward to finding more classes with her teaching!
Inspiring and encouraging.
Loved the class though it looks as though creating the island (or hill) is missing. I'll be able to figure something out but everything else was so nicely demonstrated.

Kellie Chasse

Artist and Instructor

As an Artist I work hard to develop paintings that speak volumes, my love of Maine, and all it has to offer. I was BORN ON EARTH DAY and have lived in Maine most of my life.

My interest in art sprouted from early childhood. I am fascinated with the beauty in nature, landscapes and seascapes surrounding Coastal Maine. I started painting abstract in high school, creating mood through bold colors and shapes. My focus over the past 10 years has been watercolor which allowed me to use a more realistic style using softer lines and vibrant colors.

Since 2007, I have been teaching Watercolor and Alcohol Ink courses through JoAnn Fabrics,Hobby Lobby, Adult Educations Community Centers, Corporate Team Building Events, as well as private one on one classes.

Since 2014 I have been the Portland Maine International Jetport Artist. If you fly into the PWM Jetport look for me! You will find my work there at the Down East Market Place, or you may see me there signing my art.
