About This Class

Affiliate Marketing - Rollout and Strategy Development

This class introduces my series on Affiliate Marketing.  Chapter 1, the first class in this series, discusses overall strategies for affiliate marketing from two perspectives:  Marketing products and services from third party vendors and starting to build out your own product portfolio coupled with developing and growing your own affiliate base to sell your products and services to the Internet world.

There is one lecture in this first lesson you should pay particular attention to as I lay out for you the ancillary products, services and support infrastructure you will need to create when starting to build your own affiliate sales organization.

The bottom line is, you can make a good income selling the products of others, but to make a great income in this space, you need to start giving serious thought to building out your own affiliate network for your own products and services.

This first chapter in this class starts you on that journey so be sure to check it out.

Best wishes,

1. Affiliate Marketing - A Good Idea: you know and welcome to affiliate marketing a good online revenue source. As you blogger build content, they hope people will view in your website. Actually make money. You will need to be providing people with an option to purchase things from your site. This could be courses, books or other products or content you create and sell. Or it could be products created by third parties that you promote on your site. This latter category of promoting third party products is what I'd like to focus on here. It's called Affiliate Marketing. There are primarily two types of affiliates for whom you are likely to market products the first year. Well established corporations with large pre existing customer bases and sophisticated distribution channels and affiliated programs that are already in place. Here you go through a polished affiliate. Sign up process. Provide your banking information for direct deposit features, obtain trackable website, block side banners and ads that are easily copying pasted to your site and usually some good supporting, marketing and trading videos and or marketing materials that you can readily use in your own affiliate. Promotions are available as well the pros to accepting this kind of affiliate relationship . First, it's easy for you to implement, and you don't have a lot of additional work to dio. Implementing their products into your site is easy. The corporations you are promoting are very well known, which helps to build the trust in the minds of potential buyers. That's making sales easier to come by. These corporations will take care of all shopping cart transactions, product distribution, shipping task, customer support questions, etcetera. All you have to do is try to bring in the buyers, and after that you just wait for your payment in literally just minutes. You can be copying and pasting dozens of products to promote onto your website, and then you can just move on to other things. The court disadvantage to this type of affiliate selling is that your commission shares for the products or low. Often you're only getting in the 5 to 10% range of the product. Cost is a commission. You are in effect, taking a trade off in what you would earn as a reseller in exchange for the infrastructure and customer trust that has already been built for you. Companies like Amazon Best Buy on eBay by the way are examples of entities in this category of affiliate marketing. The second type of affiliate marketing you'd be doing is with less established organizations. Some may even be bleeding edge types of products just starting to hit the market place. Here, you can obtain much larger percentages of the sales amounts. As a commission. It's not unheard of for some of these commission levels to go as high as 50% but you will have to work and making these cell. For example, you probably won't be just selecting and picking ads and banners, even copy and paste in your sight and be assured that your customer activity will be properly tracked by the parents. You may be required to build your own product, graphics and links back to the parents site in order to complete the sale. In some instances, you may have to put your own shopping cart in place and build your own system. For the customer to be able to either download or receive his product, which may even mean you have to ship something to him or her yourself, you may be required to provide some level customer support for the product yourself. Their name won't be well known and respected universally. So you have additional up selling to do, including putting your name and brand behind the product as an endorsement, counting on people to trust you in order to get the sale mate. There are many lucrative opportunities out there in the second category, though in some good research on your part, we'll get you in a good place with some of these product vendors so that you can earn some very good money if you put the upfront work in place and you're willing to do the work to properly promote the products more vigorously yourself. And there are any number of third party product brokers you can go through to find products if you don't have an idea or want to do the hard leg work of finding third party products yourself, companies like Click Bank Commission, Junction, Aven Gate and JV Zoo are just a few brokers. You can sign up with defined products you might be interested in promoting. They're good at showing you your potential profitability and building references and rating lists for you. As you are researching what products you might want to promote. My take on this affiliate sales air, usually a necessary component of running a profitable online business and making you a sustainable monthly income. It is my experience that you will probably find yourself marketing the products of both kinds of affiliate partners on your sites as you progress with your business. So do not overlook affiliate marketing as one of your avenues of earning revenue from your website or blawg site. In the years to come, they will be good revenue sources for your business. That's it, for the moment, bye for now. 2. Amazon Affiliate Revenue Generating Tip: you interested in easily creating another passive income source for your online business? Amazon Book Promotion Overview: Hello and welcome to this lecture, which I title Amazon Book Marketing Overview and The Sun is more than just a website location to upload something you want to sell, such as an e book. It is a massive organization that operates a number of companies and programs that also help you market your products, including, for the sake of this discussion, paper bound books and e books, starting with Amazon itself. There is, of course, kindle the home of Kindle readers and electronically downloadable books. Interface with it is another Amazon company called Create Space, which creates print on demand books that can also be integrated with your e book display to give the person the option of either the e book or the paper bound book version. If the paper bound book is purchased, you get credit for the royalty within. Create space, and that is where your royalty payment will come from. An electronic sale gets you a payment from Amazon directly. Oh, I almost forgot. You can also create and sell audiobook versions of your creation as well, and you can integrate that purchase option alongside the other two on the browser purchase page for your book within Amazon Kindle. Amazon also has a platform for creating integrating your Kindle books to audiobooks. This entity is called a C X. A C X is brought to you by audible dot com, which is another Amazon subsidiary. They can provide you with audio recording professionals to do the recordings, and they will integrate your finished audio with Kindle for sale on the Amazon platform, and you will learn your audio royalties directly from them. A good Web page to learn more about them can be found at the link below. Now that we know that through Amazon you can interface an e book, a paper bound book and an audiobook, let's look at how Amazon helps you market a book. For this. There are several options available to you. First, you can run an advertising campaign. This is a pay per click advertising promotion where you set a budget, a timeline and what you're willing to pay for each advertising click event by a prospect. A minimum bid is two cents per click, and the minimum budget to run a campaign is $100. To be able to utilize this advertising feature on Amazon, your book must be enrolled in the Amazon KDP Select program. So now let's talk about the KDP Select Program. You sign up for this program for 90 day periods as part of your agreement with Amazon were enjoying the program. You are not allowed to publish your e book through competing organisations such as Ingram Spark. There are no restrictions on publishing a paper bound book through competitors. Just your e book. Once enrolled only once during each 90 day period, you can run a free book promotion for up to five days. Duration. You can split thes five days up if you like. For example, you can run it for two days, one month and three additional days another month. If you do not wish to give your book away at no charge through the above promotion, you also have the alternative option of running a countdown deal where you can run a discounted book promotion for up to seven days. This promotion you can't split up, but what you can do is charge one price for, say, two days, another price for three days and 1/3 price for the last two days. If you desire. Once you have run and completed one of these promotions. You have to wait until your next 90 day period arrives. Done. One of these gain the paid advertising deals, though that is the click to pay can be ruinous frequently, as you like during each 90 day period. That's all for this lecture. Bye for now. 4. Affiliate Marketing Rollout Strategy Development: Hello and welcome to this lecture, which I title tips on affiliate marketing. When new online marketers think about affiliate marketing, they think primarily in terms of marketing the products and services created by other businesses that they have come across. You could make good online incomes doing this sort of thing. You find good products from good companies that you trust to pay you, and you promote these items foreign wide, using whatever strategies that you can think of. Websites, forms, social media sites, video ads, e mails, etcetera. And then you build an income stream for yourself. Online exponential growth in your online business is difficult to achieve utilizing this strategy, but as you work, you can create a comfortable at home income for yourself doing it. Yet there is a totally second side to this coin. Perhaps you as an entrepreneur should also be thinking about creating your own are nine assets and then finding entrepreneurs utilizing the above business model to sell your assets for you. As a small entrepreneur, you can succeed at this just as the bigger corporate entities can. What you need is a focus, a niche, a strategy, some drive and you need to work at bringing people closer to you that you can share a vision with, and that you can then collaboratively present your products or services portfolio to the world, and you can all make money at it. You won't be able to initiate this sort of strategy immediately. If you wish to sell your own products as you start to work for yourself is you have no products of your own to promote and sell. You first need to build these and then roll them out after they have been created. But you can start almost immediately looking for affiliates to help sell your services. If you were wanting to trade your time for money directly, let people know what your service charge out rate is and what percentage of this rate they can get if they promote you to others. This is how professional consulting and freelance service models have worked for years. The only downside to this is that you are still trading time for money. You only get paid when you physically work to create something for someone else and the time you take it. Doing this takes away from time you could be using to build your own passive income business, one where you do not directly have to trade your time for an income you don't get to wake up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee, go to your computer and see how much money you have made since the last time you logged on . So now let's look at affiliate marketing from a product provisioned perspective, where you can actually earn a passive income from products you create. If you have budget product creation skills such as programming, Web and database development skills, for example, coupled with good product ideas and possibly investors at hand, you can build and sell physical products that have taken time and money to create. And then he can go after the affiliate world to help sell it. But this usually takes a considerable amount of time and money, and there are risks involved. What if you have neither? You want to create something you can sell and get others to sell for you, but you don't have any product development teams at hand or a budget, etcetera. You are a one person Ben, creating online and wanting to make a good and growing passive income. The logical follow to what you can achieve is to create Knowledgeware products of some sort that people will purchase, and affiliates will want to market for you. If all you want to do is create the product and then have others sell it for you without you directly having to support your product, work with and directly grow their own affiliate base. Then you working at doing things like writing e books and self published paper bound books on sites like Amazon Creates Based and England Spark, creating online training courses and publishing them on sites like you. To me, skill share etcetera were the sites themselves in the sights Affiliate members sell your created KnowledgeWare products for you. This can make you an income and even a growing income over time. But your trade off here is that you're giving away the greater parts of each sale to those hosting and marketing websites and the affiliates that they work with your net take home revenue is much lower than the full retail value of the product on each sale. Yet your benefit is that you have very little work to do to market your product and say you're taking care of that for you. Create enough products and a decent passive monthly income stream can be generated. But also, please remember that they are marketing the products of others as well. You don't have exclusivity here. This brings us to the final business model for selling your products online, one where you choose to be in complete control of your product and marketing it, bringing in your own affiliates. Now you can keep most of the money for your products yourself. Accept what you choose to give away to your own affiliates, which will increase your per product profit margins. This model has the potential for the most exponential revenue growth for your business, but it will take the most work to create and manage. At least in the first year or two. You will find there are several things you will need to build out to be successful under this model. The list below may seem daunting to you, and I have by no means listed everything you will find you need to do. But if you want to attain the real growth in your business and the higher levels of incomes that are possible, all the tasks I include below are things you need to be working on. Here's my list. First, create products that Treadwell and sell well, probably of a knowledgeware variety sort and hopefully easily downloadable from the Internet or easily distributable to your target markets. Build a website to showcase and sell your created products. Create information on each of your products that consumers can use to make decisions with with respect to purchasing product promotional emails and advertising and promotional videos should be created. An affiliate sign up process and revenue sharing model needs to be designed and implemented , and this should be an automated process. Affiliate training documentation and videos should be created Tools you create to help your affiliate sell your products, such as logos, banners and other ads. Advertising Copy Trackable hyperlink coats reach affiliate So as they sell, they will automatically get tracking your system and can get paid. This needs to be fully automated. Build an auto responder to set up informational emails gear to supporting your affiliates, building methods to facilitate easy communication with your affiliates when they have questions or run into issues. Put programs in place that enable additional incomes, their bonuses for your affiliates if they bring in even more affiliates to your business. Sometimes you may also even be wanting to build in the capability of generating affiliate brand mobile websites that you host to age affiliates in their marketing and sales efforts . But this is something you can evolve to the building of promotional videos that affiliates can use and distribute themselves to help them promote your products and your business. So this last method of generating affiliate revenues for your business is significantly more work than the other methods that I have discussed in this lecture. It is something you evolved to in your business once you have created a substantial and saleable product portfolio. But here's where the real money is in affiliate marketing. This is how you can work hard for a few years to build a strong online business capable of generating for you a significant monthly income. Thank you for completing this lecture and by for now 5.
