1. ADOBE PREMIERE CC 2019 INTRODUCTION: Hi. Welcome to the Adobe premiere, CC 2019 Quick Start Guide zero to hero. This course is designed for absolute beginners of Adobe Premiere that are interested in learning how design very cool. Nice videos in not a long time. And don't be actually has a mobile editing up called Adobe Clip. So we're gonna cover all those things. I also travel lot as the trouble videographer, and there's to be a very strong travel theme to this. You're gonna get to use project footage so you can practice editing videos in exotic destinations like the Maldives in four K resolution shot from cameras like drones Marylise , cambers and go crows. So you're gonna get a good experience with different types of footage with different cameras as a trial videographer almost going to introduce you to a lot more than just video editing. For example, in the course, we're going to start from the very beginning, we're gonna cover the fundamentals, The interface off Adobe premiere, how to import the videos, put them in the timeline, work with him in the timeline, and also do more advanced things. Want to have your clips in the timeline when you need to trim them at transitions, affects titles, color grading music and eventually published a video to YouTube. I'm gonna cover the full workflow for uploading it and how I publish a video on my YouTube channel and how to actually use that YouTube video for business A. Someone who also licenses my footage. I used Adobe stock, and I'm also going to give you an introduction to that business model. And I think it fits nicely within the portfolio off adobes creative cloud. Adobe Premiere Importing Footage & Work Panels: Lo in this video, we're going to start off from scratch in Adobe Premiere 2019 and just want to welcome you to the course. This is gonna be super practical, and we're just gonna cover the steps that you need to actually create the video, going to try to make this as interesting, and I and digestible as I can. So let's go ahead and create a new project. We're gonna go found you project, and I'm gonna call the small divas to because we're gonna be working with my travel footage from the Maldives. Now, you can just use the settings that are currently there. The one thing I want to point out, because when I first started using Adobe Premiere, I had a green monitors of the monitors where you actually Previ what the the videos look like? If you do have that problem, you can select just the play engine only I had that problem of the beginning, but then maybe something I did to my graphics card settings, but now it works with this GPU acceleration option. I haven't changed any of these settings, so just leave that as it is and the only option you really should need to change is just entering the name of the project. Then hit. Okay? And we'll just wait for that to load up. Okay, so this is a blank project here. We have our window in the left. This is the what I call the media browser. This is where you're gonna import your media, and then you're gonna be able to see your pictures, your video footage, and, ah, be able to select the clips we want to bring into your timeline. I noticed that there is a search bar over here, and ah, there's some columns here with some technical information. Okay, We'll come back to that after we import some footage will be more useful than here are. Some of the tool said you can use in the timeline timeline is over here, So some of the tools that I use are the razor tool. This is to cut clips. I'll use the text tool sometimes, and Ah, yeah, that's it. Timeline is over here. And when you're creating a timeline, they call it a sequence in Adobe premiere. If you have more than one timeline, they will say you have multiple sequences, so you can have more than one sequence in a project on the right here. You can have different panels. I've got the panel for graphics or texts. Sometimes you'll see that it's a, um, got the color grading option and you notice that there's a three lines they're so that means you can click in it and then you have an option to close the panel or on docket, and you've also got some other options there you can maximize this panel and ah, close it. Okay, over here is the monitor. This is where you can actually preview the video clip. And once you've actually highlighted some media, which we don't have yet these buttons will light up. All right, this one a point of this area where the two arrows are. This will reveal other workspaces that you can go to. So I would just go to things like the FX. So video fax will have things like we can go to video transitions. So if you want to do fade, fading, fade out, fade to black, this is where you'll find it. So, yeah, you could just dragon apply these effects or highlight the clip in the timeline and then double click it. And, ah, things like fading fatal for audio is also here. And notice that you can search for this particular type off a factor transition just to find it quickly because there's so many nested in the folders. And, ah, once you've actually applied effect, you can adjust the intensity or options on that effect under effect controls. Now, if you want to go back, you can click on the double arrows and, like the project, whatever you named it. So before we can go ahead any further, we need to import some media. So let's go ahead and do that. Show is. So double click on here, and I've prepared some video footage for these lessons, and you can also download some of these clips, so I'm gonna go folder by folder. Here. Each folder is a different type of footage somewhere drone aerials. Some are GoPro footage. Some are shot from engage fire somewhere pictures and somewhere specialty clips like Time Lots is so let's select specialty and will hit import folder. We'll see that Adobe premiere is bringing this into the project. It's gonna create a folder just as it waas and we'll be able to see the media inside that folder by clicking that little arrow there and you can see that we're in Listsview. So in this view, you can see frame rate and other useful mation mation like the video resolution, the duration, and you can right click and select difference columns if you want to add more information. Okay, if you want to see the visual, you can switch to what we call Icahn view when you switch like a view backs you out, so you need to go back in. And yeah, this is a nice visual way off, quickly seeing the thumbnail. So if wanna quickly find a visual of the clip, you can actually browse it over here Does take a while sometimes, or you can double click on a clip and it'll display in the modern there. And then from here, you have some other options. Won't look at the monitor in more detail in the sec right now I want to import the other folders. So why don't you go ahead, start importing your video footage into the project, and when we re joined, we will look more into the monitor and how we can use more options in this area. 3. Adobe Premiere The Monitor: All right. Welcome back. So in the last lesson we imported are folders was wells or footage. And we can see all our folders here with our video clips inside. So I just want to double check. You've got everything. I noticed that some of these clips have frame rate of 120 frames per second. Some have 23.9 or close to 24 frames, some or 30. So this is the new world of video that we live in because cameras are becoming more fancy. More high tech 120 frames is very good for buttery, smooth, slow motion. 24 frames is the film look, 29.97 This is what my camera will use for slow motion. So we have to make a decision when we create our project. What resolution? And want frame rates. If you want to see the video resolution, you can either find it here venue info. But I don't know why it's on the way there, so I'm just gonna drag is calling. So it's easier to view because sometimes when I'm looking for a clip, it's very important to see this information. Okay. Again, the other view you have is the icon view to get a quick visual. Okay, so before we can actually start a project, I recommend getting some music. And then after that, we're gonna create our first sequence and actually start working in the monitor and the timeline. Let's just quickly go over the monitor because I did promise you so. To start working on the monitor, you need to highlight a clip so you can either preview clip here in the media browser. But it's a little bit small or, when I like to do is double click. It's and then you can see see it on the big screen. Now, another tip I'll give you is to press the tilde that will make it bigger. And what you need to know in the monitor is that just that it's in a way that allow you to quickly preview the clip so you can choose which portion off the clip you want. Teoh insert into the timeline, and, ah, to do that, you can make your start points, which they call Mark in on. And let's say once this endpoint here, right? So let's go back to the minimize view by pressing tilde. So with that portion highlighted, I can now dragon just video into the timeline. It's not created yet, or I can drag just the audio. Or if I dragged the entire picture by Dragon from the actual video image and dragging the timeline of brings video and audio, we also have the ability to grab get a screen grab from wherever the needle is on the monitor. Okay, so that's all I'm gonna cover on the monitor. That's pretty much the functions that I use and let's go look for some music now. 4. Adobe Premiere Where to Find Music: I welcome back in this lesson, we're gonna look for music and then we're going Teoh import that music into Don't premiere and then insert it and adjust the levels and introduce you to how we can work with audio in Dolby Premier. So there's many sites that you could go to. There's cc mixture dot org's their Soundcloud, but this is a site I recently discovered that has a good selection off free music in MP three format. And, um, it's called icons. Eight. Icahn's eight dot com And I like it because you can search by different categories. I recommend choosing one that doesn't have content. I d. Because you can't monetize on those. And I like to monetize on my YouTube videos and one that doesn't have pro because I think you have to pay for those. So actually found a clip here. Yeah, okay, so once you find a clip you like over that one's only 27 seconds, it's tryingto I think it's really important to find one that's that's good. That matches. Okay, so I'm going to take a little time here to find a clip that's appropriate. And when you find one, you can click. Download it, Donald. MP three, Remember, words saved. Usually it's in the download folder. And then ah, remember to copy the information if you're gonna post it on YouTube so I can give credit to the artists. Otherwise, you could end up with the problems later on. If the orders decides to make a claim and then you have to remove the music. Okay, so we'll see in a bit. 5. Adobe Premiere Cropping 4K footage in HD with music: Hey, welcome back. Last lesson. We were looking at downloading music, so I selected my truck and I downloaded the MP three, and now they find it and bring it into the project. Most likely, it's in the downloads folder. So I'm back in Adobe Premiere, and I've been a double clicking of blank area on the media browser. And let's see if we can find the clip. Okay, It's called Hypnotize. I'm just gonna bring two clips in to music trucks. I mean, okay, so now we need to create our sequence or first time line. As you can see, this area's blank. So how do we do that? First, we need to make a decision about what resolution and frame rate we are going to create this project in because we have video clips that are full HD. It's 29.97 frames per second. We've got ultra four K HD clips, And, um so what I'm gonna do, because I'm gonna publish this on you, tube I'm gonna publish are gonna create the sequence in full HD. But I'm going to use the high resolution footage in the HD project. And by doing this, you have more flexibility with these high resolution clips to do things like zoom in. But you're not gonna lose the resolution on the project. I do want to create one that's 24 frames per second, because that's the film. Look, So I'm just gonna go ahead and go following you sequence, and I'm just gonna use a DSLR 10 80 24 frames project and name of the project. I'll just call main bid. Okay. It was hidden behind there. Okay, So here's our main timeline. So let's start off by just putting one video clip in there just to start things off. Usually I like to do a drone clip. Okay, that's a pretty strong opening here. Okay, So I was gonna mark in here, mark out there and then to insert just a video may click on this part year, and then I'm gonna drag it down to the one which is our main video track. Okay, so that's saying this video clip doesn't mesh with sequence settings because this is actually a four k clip, and this is ah sequences in HD project. So is asking Do we change the sequence to match the clip settings uh and no, I want to keep existing settings. So select that. And now that we have a clip in there, I just insert the music track. And to do that, we highlight the music truck me once, and we drag it into anyone. Okay, so now we have one music tracking there and one video clip, and we'll just go over some things here of how you can work with audio before we go any further. So with the audio clip highlighted, if I want to make adjustments to music, I can go over to the effect controls. If I want to make adjustments, his video clip, I would highlight it over here, and I can also justice in effect controls. But I want to just the audio. So we highlight that and you can see we've got the file there, so we have the ability to expend the level and we can change the volume. It's currently set it six because this is a travel music video. I do once this music video truck to be heard, so I'm just going to leave it. If you wanted to reduce the volume for any reason, you could just move this down and you can see that's minus 12 db. You can reset it over here. If you wanted to fade it in, you can go to your fax and I believe it's called Fade Under on your effects. No. Okay, so we need to actually flying exponential thing. They don't have the best of names to describe. Some of these effects like this would be a feign in so I can drag this effect down into the on your clip. And then I like Teoh. Zoom in by pressing. Plus, Sumon is minus, and I was just curve that document by clicking and dragging. OK, notice This video does look a bit off. It's a big crops. I want to see if I can this zoom out a bit. So I right click and ice and they set to frame size. No, we can go to a fact controls and we can scale this. I'll just show you here. She knows how. Remember I mentioned when we working with four K footage in HD Project, we can zoom in without using losing the resolution. So that's what that is over here. So a really cool effect would be to do what we call key frame, and, um, we'll cover that later that little bit more events. But what that will do is it'll zoom in while the video is playing, so that's a new technique that a lot of people are doing. So why don't you go ahead and import your music and, ah, create your sequence? Put in your first video projects, and then what you can do is go back to the, um, your other video clips and start thinking about how you want to put together your finish video and what type of story that you want to put together. And when we come back, I'm going to start bringing more clips into my project and we'll have more of, ah, work in progress and I'll talk more about the timeline area. 6. Adobe Premiere Core Techniques for telling your story: Hello, everybody. We're checking back into this video and I'll be honest. There has been hours and hours passed since we've lost Looked at this video, I've gone for dinner, I've gone for a swim and ah, taking a shower. So the point I want to make is editing. A video does sometimes take some time. You need to be motivated. Sometimes you're in the groove and you can get through it quickly. But I wouldn't force it if you're not feeling it. Sometimes you just need to have that creative juice. You just need to be focused, and you need to have a quiet space not to be disturbed. So I just wanted to get that point across, and I wanted to introduce a few more things because we've gone a little bit further in the project here. So maybe you've laid ounce more clips and you've been cutting them to the beach. Or maybe put in a related clips together. Let's take a look of one I've done so far, and it might People slow because we are reforming screen. Um, I just played back, extracted from another video. So to extract audio from a video clip, what you can do is go over to your trucks and, uh, you can find the truck that you want, double click in it and played in the monitor. Say, for example, I want some from here. No, it's like the portion that they want and set the endpoints and was just saying just one audio. I could drag this down to one of the all your trucks, but I don't want Doctor. That's just the technique we're extracting the on you mother things that I've done is I playing around with different speeds, especially with video clips that have a higher frame rate than 24 frames per second. So we have 120 frames per second, and some clips are 60 friends for second. So those types of video clips with those high frame rates they're gonna be a little bit smoother when you decide to slow them down. You could even slow down clips that are shot at 24 friends for a second, and ah, the way that you do that is you can highlight the clip, and I like to write clicking it, and you can select speed and duration. And if you wanted to slow down, you can select 50% which is half of one, 100% is and it tells you the new duration. Based on that percentage, you can even verse the video clip, and I dont play around with the other options. So that's in the techniques you can use. Tell your story and this really is about telling story. I mean, you could just throw clips in there and put it to music, but people will quickly lose interest and see that you weren't putting a lot of love and and time into it. So I think that's example of some B roll here have cut from one angle of the turtle another , and you can see that we have an F X there. That means that there's some type of effect applied, so I will reveal what that is. We right click on this clip, we can see that I've adjusted the speed to 50% to slow down this clip. So So yeah, the speed A mixing technique and reverse. You can also reverse stuff to tell your story. So e. I also recommend proving the clips that are in your media browser or doing that before you import the video clips into the project, and that's going to give your brain and visual map off the puzzle, the video clips that you have at your disposal to tell the story and tell you why that's important. So as you're going along the project and you're gonna you have to make some decisions you're going to choose. Okay, what's the next clip after this? So the way I go about this and there's no really set rule is electrical in sequential order that the day actually went so so far, we've gone from a drone shots. We went into the ocean, we saw some fish, some smoking. Purnell's now got me here talking on the boats, and I refer to the race with sting rays. And then when I want to do after is tell more of a story. So I've actually previewed what the other clips are. So I know that we've got some clubs on the boat. We've got some drone clips at sunset. We have a time lapse and ah, I want to include those things. But I want to make sure that it does make sense. So what? I think I'm gonna do is at some scenes a few more scenes off some other war underwater footage. Maybe some dolphins because of Addison bonus footage. We got some dolphins. We got some sharks, and then I wanna add in time lapse and then some drone clips where are flying away at sunset and at a sunset clip and maybe a little few extras. And then after we've got all the clips in there, final touches include adding titles and transitions. So we went through how to do transitions earlier on in the effects. Now for titles is quite simple. You need to make sure that that you've got your essential graphics so you can find that if you don't see it under windows workspaces and then just select graphics, I read you haven't over here. So we simply in brows make sure you've got brow selected and, yeah, fine type of title that you want, and then you simply just drag it over to the video track, make sure that it's on top if you wanted to be seeing, and then you could just double click in the window and time something. Once you have the text, there you are no able to add it. It you can do all sorts of things from change the style, the type of Florence. Let's just show you a test here. Make sure it's highlighted, though, and in selecting different fonts. Okay. And then do things like is in italics. Is it all caps changing color? I think you get the idea. Okay, so why did you go ahead and do that? And when we were visit, we're gonna have more or less a finished project, and I will have all the clips laid out, and then we're going to cover how we insert an adjustment layer. And then how we add some color grading to that adjustment layer Azaz. Well, as you'll see what I've done with titles and then we're gonna go ahead and export that baby . And, uh, I will show you how I publish that finished video to YouTube. And I'll go through some different options for exporting our video to wrap up the series of lessons on Adobe Premiere. Adobe Premiere Keyframing, Effects, and Transitions: I welcome back in this phase off the video, we've laid down some tracks and trying to make it in a sense that it looks like a movie trailer. It should make sense that it flows logically. For example, in this case, we started off with the drone flight going into the air and put a couple of other drone cliffs and where I'm going to go from this is from the air to the ocean. So now I'm going to teach you a couple of techniques that you can use to make your video more exciting. So I'm gonna cover one of my favorite transitions and a transition that is being used a lot these days. The traditional ones are your crosses old that, Ah, transitioning from one club to another. But I recommend you don't overuse transitions If they're unnecessary. I would usually use a transition if we're switching from one scene, two completely different environment, or I think the transition should help the eyes flow from one seem to another. If you're over using transitions, it can become a bit of distracting. But it's really up to you how you want Teoh create your video. But those are just some of my tips and encourage you to experiment with some of the other transitions that are available. So to use this transition, you can place the play had needle on the timeline, and you can place it right over there. So if we play back theme. Nice zoom effect. That looks like it went from the air into the ocean on What I could do is I could go to a sound bank. I could actually put the sound of someone diving. Just add that extra production value. Okay, let's make the timeline bigger here. Okay? Another technique I want to show you is a key frame Zoom when I call a key friends in. So earlier on, I mentioned that you can do a digital zoom on four K video clips without losing resolution . So I'm gonna do this at the beginning here. Maybe I'll do it on. Okay, tell me what? I'll do it on this club. Just it will kind of even go along with this cross soon. Transition. Okay, so let's first of all, make sure. Okay, that's not too skilled in. So currently it's a scale 50. All right, so, weaken, we can really play around with that. Okay, so are its scale 50. Now, the key to pulling off this technique is you want to be precise. So in the timeline, I'm using the left and right arrows. So I want to go to the very first frame that this clip appears. And then you can use this for a lot of different of these options in the fact controls, whenever you see this icon. So I'm gonna hit that scale animation. And what that's doing is it's starting the key frame. So what I need to do next is just go along to the very end part, which is something like that, and I want to just set a value, so I will set it 220. And what's that? What that is doing is all the frames in between. It's going to automatically do the calculations, so it's going to go all the way to 52 value Asset it at the end, which was 120 something. Let's see how this looks once actually played back. Not bad, not bad, not bad. So let's try this again with the very first clip. So again we're at 50. And if you want to see what it would look like, you could just play around with the style here so I can see it still looks okay up to 70. Okay, so I just reset it back to what it was before. The wind end is 50. So now I start my key frame and the needle is at the beginning of the clip. And now I want Teoh go to end and I'll stubble click. I'll set this to just 80 can world playing this back. Okay, so we can see that we have a lot of area to fill up to complete our video. I just want to remind you to continually save your project, just in case you can set that in the preferences. If you wanted to auto safe and to go back to your media, you can go to project. So when I recommend is to go ahead and use some of techniques you learnt for applying different transitions or different effects to at some production value used the key frame scaling technique and, ah, when we were enjoying, I'm gonna add some more video clips myself, and then we'll look at more or less off a Polish projects. So we're almost there. We're getting there very quickly, and, um yeah, good luck. 8. Adobe Premiere WORKING IN THE TIMELINE: Hi, Ines Video. We're gonna cover Timeline. Very important heart off your video project in Premiere. So this is the timeline here. Most of the time, you're gonna be working with the monitor, so if you need to resize it, you can just left, click and drag it left and right to make it a little bit bigger. If you need a zoom in, you can press. Plus minus will zoom you out. You can move along the time line using these handles. Over here, you can also resize Oh, hi. The trucks are over there. And if you want to zoom in on the time on, make sure that you've got got it highlighted and pressed. The tilde just left off. The one key on your keyboard on that gives you a full screen view. Now, let's just talk about the layout here off the timeline. So we have different video tracks V one over here, the two and the three. The one is what I normally use for the main truck. So you can see I've only got video clips on the one right now. If I'm doing a online tutorial where I'm talking and I need to cut to be role. I'll normally put the bureau on V two. UM, only put titles on V three or V two because the higher the truck is meaning high truck will be the three. Maybe even before that will take precedence over all the video trucks beneath it. So it's good for things like titles or B roll when you wanted to overly or cover the lower video trucks. If you need to toggle the track on and off, you can click the eyeball icon. What looks like a nine more now the same idea for the only, oh, trucks. We have different Oh, no trucks here and ah, you commute it by pressing M or clicking over there. And this is for voiceover recording. If you do have a microphone connected and you can right click in this able clip right there and grayed out and um, over here I leave. This is only one leave on. Its snap just makes Eclipse act more like a magnetic snapping style of editing. And let's go back to the main view over there. So we've got some tools that we can use in the timeline ones that I use the most are the razor tool. Short cut is See, that's just used to make an incision. You can see the icons gonna change from a narrow to an incision there, and other one they might use is Mark. That's just to make a mark using this over here. Whoops. Sorry. That's wrong. I'll just use the M key using the play head on a press. And and that's if I just want a reference point visually on the timeline for me to remember . Okay, Eso That's the timeline in a nutshell. That's the quick start version, and those are the functions off the timeline that I focus on. There's a lot more to it than that, but ah, you know, for the purposes off. Just creating a video. That's when I used in Adobe Premiere 9. ADOBE PREMIERE CC 2019 COLOR GRADING FINAL TOUCHES (7): everyone. We are known the latter stages of her video project. We've put down our clips, we've applied our story. We've told our story using the video clips and some music, and in this video we're gonna apply what we call the finishing touches to this project. So we're going to do things like key Frame or resize or four K footage because this is an in HD project we're going to do with planned logos, adjustment layers and some effects. So right out of the gate here, we're looking at a palm tree in four K, and it looks a little bit cropped in. So in the timeline, you can right click, and you can select set to frame size, and sometimes that will zoom out or scale out the video clips so that it fills the entire frame. But here you can see some borders at the top and bottom that are not covered. So we're gonna go over tariff act controls, and we're just going to increase the scale a little bit just to cover that up now, because we're using four K footage in HD project, we have the ability to what we dio what we call a key frame zoom so it can zoom in slowly or fast while the video is playing. So that's Ah, advanced technique that's covered in another video. But that's available to you when you use four K footage in HD Project. Okay, so when I'm ready to publish a video to YouTube, I like to protect it. And I have a company logo that have already imported into Adobe Premiere, and what I'm gonna do is look for that in the media browser and then drag that to one of the higher video tracks so that it applies to everything. And then if we move the needle over to where the logo is, we can get a preview in the monitor off what that looks like. Okay, so it's right in the middle. It's got 100% opacity, and it's probably gonna irritate the users. So to deal with that first, I'm just going to adjust the duration of the clips so that it covers Thean Tire video project because I want the logo to display during the entire video. And then I'm going to adjust the opacity so that it's not yeah, so it's a bit less visible. So the lower the capacity, the less visible that it is. And I can adjust the scaling in the effect controls as well, just to make it a bit smaller. And the final touch is to just click the motion area. So we get the frame handles so we can move the logo wherever we want in the frame. And I like to place it in the corner so it's there. But it's not right smack front off the video. Okay, I'm just going to click and place it in the top left corner, and it's a good idea just to played back and see what the logo looks like with some of your different video clips because they have different colors and they might be that more visible was certain colors. And then after you do that, just make sure the logo applies over your entire video project. Okay, Our next technique is to apply what we call an adjustment layer so we can do that by going to file new adjustment layer, and we can select the width and height so it's full HD and the frame rate over there. So this is all good and the reason why we want an adjustment layer is because we want apply a little bit of saturation to the entire video projects. As you can see, there's a lot of clips that air cut up in the timeline and to apply some saturation evenly . The entire video would take a lot of work. So with adjustment Layer were expanding the duration so covers entire project. It's on the higher video track V five. So it's covering all of the video that we wanted to apply to, and I've just hit Tilted to expand the timeline, so it's a bit easier to work with. So that's all set up, and later on, we're gonna be plying some saturation to that adjustment layer. Right now, I want to look at fading out was portion there because the video ends very abruptly, and then it just goes to a black background so we can head over to our effects. And what I'm looking for is a video transition. I'm just gonna look in. The search bar is called Dip to Black. There's a lot of effects and it will be premier, so sometimes that search bar comes in handy. Actually, it's a video transition and it's under dissolves. So I'm just gonna dragged that dip to black transition over to the end portion of the last clip. Just so the video ends little bit smoother, and I could even expand, do or zoom in and just drag the handle off that effect or that transition just to adjust it and make it hang a little bit longer. So I'm just playing your back just to see what that transition did. How is gonna look and good idea just to save your projects after you make a lot of changes ? Okay, so I'm about to apply some saturation to the entire project, so I just want to place my play. Had needle in the timeline over a clip. That would be a good example. So a good example is a clip that looks a bit flat. This one has a bit color, but this clip right here does look like you could use a bit of help. Those palm tree seen also looks a bit flat. Okay, so now we're gonna go over to the panel that allows us to just the color. So what this panel is called is the loom, eh? Tree you can go over to the essential graphics or lament tree color workspace and in the LEM entry color workspace, we can highlight the adjustment layer. And we have a number of options here. So what we want to do, it's just increased the saturation, and you can see that it's already making quit a dramatic difference to those palm trees, making it a lot more colorful. You can make any of these color adjustments and remember they're applying to the entire project. You can press reset if you want to start again. So we're gonna settle on something that's not as dramatic saturation at 1 41.5 Not a bad idea just to play back the video project to see what the video clips look like and then find, too, in your saturation value based on what looks good for all the clips. So this is a good idea to time safe. Okay, now we're gonna look at a different area, so if we go over it on the panel, we're going to the loo Metarie scopes to look at our exposure. How brights is our video clips or they overexpose and within the elementary scopes we can display are loom away form RGB parade. This is a little bit more. Advance this all These are areas that color graders typically spend time in, and as a stock footage for the offer. When I'm kind of stock footage clips, I do look at things like the exposure, the highlights, shadows and the mid tones. But basically what we're trying to do here is keep the highlights. Those of the talk portion off the way form under 100 so usually that involves adjusting the highlights. And if we want to, the justice shadows, that's the bottom. We want to make sure that the way form is above zero and so weaken. Adjust the shadows to do that, and we can also play with the mid tones. So basically, our goals keep the way form between zero and 100 keep in balance. So for stock footage were normally dealing with a single clip. But for video project like this, where you have so many different clips that are shot in different lighting conditions, this could be a bit come person. So unless a clip in your video project is highly under overexposed, you probably don't want to apply and adjustment layer where you're adjusting the exposure for the entire project. It's up to you, depending on how much time that you have, but this is a lot easier to do for a single clip, so they're different areas in the metric color way can make color adjustments that are a bit more advance, but we're gonna hop over into, uh, the creative area in a second. The color wheels is another area. You can adjust the highlights, mid tones and shadows as well as the colors. And some of this is just personal preference. How you like to color it for any final cut pro X users. The color wheels and the way forms are new ways off coloring your project. Personally, I prefer to stick to basic correction and the creative area. So in the creative area, we have the ability to use look up tables. So look up. Tables are like instagram filters, their color presets and with the play had needle over clip. We can click those arrows of aside to preview what some of these look up tables are. Lots looked like, so I'm just gonna scroll through some of them looks over here. And if there's one that you like, you can double click on that little screen to apply it. And because we have the adjustment layer, it's going applied to the entire project. So just gonna preview which one looks best. In my opinion, there's a lot of them. Okay, I'm gonna settle on this food G 1 to 5 by Kodak, and you can see that it's applied to the clipping. The monitor so it is a little intense, does make the shadows more noticeable, so you have the ability to just the intensity off this look up table. If it's a bit too much, you can just dial that back down, so that's a good option for you. Also a good idea to just play back your video, but to see what exactly that look up table did to the other video close because they're shot in different lighting conditions. So I'm gonna dial back the intensity just a bit, so it's not as intense. So there's a lot of options that you've been given here. To polish up your project. You can applied different effects. You can use titles you can use an adjustment layer to give a little bit of saturation or in a different basic color correction. We can even I'm gonna look up table on top of that to give your video a custom look. So it's not so generic. So our next step, now that we've polished upper project, is to export a video project to the adobe encoder, and then we're gonna publish our video over to YouTube, so stick around. 10. Adobe Premiere Exporting Video Adobe Encoder (8): Okay, everyone. So the video project is finished. We've applied her final touches, and now we're ready to export our video project now because we plan to publish us a. YouTube. At this point, I think this is a good opportunity to export a screen grab or export frame just to get that thumbnail that you can use on your YouTube channel. So just place the play head in the position you want and click export frame. Now, when you're ready to actually export the video, you can go to file export media or the short khaki is control em. Now I want to give you a heads up. It does take a while to load up, but there are a lot of options that you do have in this export window for your video project, and we will cover some of those options very shortly. First off, we have the match sequence settings, which my experience I don't recommend because it creates very small, low quality file sizes. The format is very important. H 264 is a standard for Internet videos. YouTube for sharing on the Internet. The highest quality setting is quick time, and if you were focusing on audio files. You've got a more compressed audio. All your format, MP three and waveform audio is a higher quality audio. So this is where you can set the type of format for your media. So for this project, I'm doing a 10 80 p YouTube video, So there is a precept for that. If you scroll down to the bottom full HD next up, we can change the fall name. Just click the highlighted portion next to output. Name my experience. Sometimes Dobie is actually hung up and crashed. So make sure you say before you even get into this area. So over here I'm just selecting the name of the file, and it's going to save it in an MP four format. And then I'm gonna go ahead and click. Save just a quick tip for YouTube s CEO. You can name the actual file name based on what you want people to search for. Okay. So lower down. We're now in the different part of the menu where we have more options to increase the quality. So in the video portion on the the effects portion over here, you have the ability to do things like select the lutz you can actually do from the export window, but I don't recommend it because it's risky. I'd rather do it in the actual timeline. So back to the video menu. There's a lot of options here so we can see the resolution I recommend Select rendered maximum depth, and you can do a bit rate encoding too passive you want higher quality is gonna take a longer time. That means the video is going to run through all the frames two times, and there's a check box at the bottom called Use Macklin. Render quality. And if you go to the publish mint, you have options to publish directly over two different social media. But personally, I prefer just to exported first so I can see the video before it goes straight out to Social media. Over in the left area, we have the timeline area. We can quickly render just to get a preview of the projects, and you can also change the portion of the video that's gonna get exported. At this point, I'm just clicking que so don't be premier outputs this video over to the complementary program called Adobe Encoder. I like to export videos to Dobie Encoder because it allows the program takes care of exporting the video in the background so you could continue toe. Use your computer. It's not gonna tie of all the resources. You can also batch many video projects, and you can choose when you want to run it by pressing the play button. You can even pause the adobe encoder while it's exporting video project. And then Kodori also have options to change some of the settings before they actually go out. You can change the file name. The format is well so ah, very powerful software. But, um, I guess the main thing I want to get across is that it's a good idea to get your export exporting video out to the adobe encoder, so it may take a while to get there. But once it is in the encoder, you can just simply click play, and that will go ahead and render your finish video. And you can even go back to Adobe if you wanna work on another video project. And yeah, so that's how we exports a video from Adobe Premiere over into the Encoder, and we're almost there The final lesson in this course is to publish are finished video over to YouTube, so stick around for that. This process may take a while. So instead of staring at the screen, of course you can look at the previous the bottom. I recommend we let this run through, so go ahead and export your video project and we'll see you in the final lesson to publish the video over to YouTube. 11. ADOBE PREMIERE CC 2019 TIPS PUBLISHING TO YOUTUBE: Hey, guys. So we're near the end here. I'm going to cover how we can publish that video over to YouTube. And, uh so here we are. First of all, you need to have ah, YouTube channel. And when I did over here is I went to upload video, and then they went ahead and dragged the file, which we'll bring up here. So this is the file here. I preview that I'm happy with it, so I just dragged and dropped. It does take a little bit of time. So that's why I just skip forward and we're going to go straight to my account so we can finish publishing this video here. So after processes, there's a number of things that I recommend you do for best success on publishing to YouTube. So what are those things? First of all, you need a good some new, and what I'm gonna do is up over to photo shop. Now, you don't need to use photo shop. You can use any program you want. But remember that screen capture I took from Adobe premiere? I've gone ahead and just add a little bit more color to make it look a bit more interesting . So added some vibrance and saturation. You really want to catch people's attention here, so I'll just teach you a little trick that I like. So this is Adobe Photo Shop, the current version 2019 I believe, but you can use free programs like Can Va or you can use even your phone to do this. But the main thing is that you wanted to spend a bit of time to make sure that your thumbnail stands out. So I'm applying some HDR toning. It's kind of got a dreamy effect here, maxed out on the vibrance. Okay, so I'm happy with that. Now, if you flipped back to YouTube, you'll see that it has a maximum size of two megabytes for the image, so we need to go file save as and tube from and for SC Oh, so ASIO is search engine optimization. Sometimes it's a good idea to name the file if you're aiming for people to find that on a particular search term, Okay, so bit of strategy over there, So you want to maximize the file size while keeping it under two megabytes so you can see here 1.3 megabytes and now goingto flip back to YouTube, go to custom thumbnail and see the difference in the thumbnails. This is the one that I took the screen cap off compared to the one I just edited for. YouTube stands on a whole lot more, right, so it's up learning there, and then there's a couple of other things you need to do. So you first of all, you need a very descriptive title, Okay, and then I won't go into too this too much. But I have all these links to Amazon. These air fill it, links of people see, for example, my sunglasses and they want to buy them. They can click here to buy them. It's the exact model of sunglasses I wear, and I get a commission, little commission. If they do buy it. The drone I use. For example, this is not the drone. That's this is ah, I need to update this. But this is called affiliate marketing, and it's a great thing to do if you do own a YouTube channel and I'm not saying this is going to make you rich or anything. It really depends on how much traffic you have but it's not a bad thing to do. I normally will put a link to my websites, and I'll point them to one of the pages that promotes what I'm doing here. So I'm putting a link at the end for people that want to learn travel videography on, um so I'll probably direct them to my online courses, which I do have for not only enjoyed before Mir but final cut pro X on and learning drone videography GoPro um, etcetera. So that's what I use the top area off the description for now, an important part. Another important part is the keyword tags. So you want to make the most relevant tags at the beginning and then continue to fill out the keywords. So Maldives 2018 in 19 4 k aerial drone Khushi Who? She island's paradise. They want to think about all the possible keywords that people might be searching for on YouTube. Okay, And then this is where he can put the music, you know, ties. There we go. So I wouldn't copy this because the links don't work. You're supposed to be able to click here, set a link. Cameras we could hear, uh a copy. Yeah, it looks like those link is broken. Mm. Anyways, the final step would be to go ahead and publish, but I'll cover one more bonus step here. And that's, um and that's to add and screen. I do want to publish it. Otherwise I'm gonna lose changes. So we go to end screen and you can use a template. So this is this is the pop ups you're seeing on YouTube channels. Now, where you get ah ah, bubble pop up, asking you to subscribe. So you get this by adding in elements depending on what action you want them to take, so you can create one for it, prompting people to subscribe. We may be promoting a video or playlist or promoting another channel or link to improve sight. Like my website. So I'll just put my website in there. So these air Maura events almost ah, diving into the marketing side of being a YouTuber. Okay, Learn to learn to video at it. How's that? Okay. So I can motor playlists. No. Promote my travel gear kit. Maybe people watching this want to find out more about my gear kit. Okay, so we've reached the end off our course for this travel video. We've done a whole lot. We've created a video adobe premiere, and ah, we've done all the final touches and uploaded it. And then from there, you have to look at what is your goal with YouTube? Are you trying to get views? But I think that having ah YouTube channel is a great way for people to discover you. It's actually the second largest search engine after Google, and YouTube is owned by Google. So they play well together for me. I tried to get people to discover me, and from there they can decide. Maybe they want to learn about my gear, kids, or learn how to do videography with certain camera. Or maybe it's video editing. So I used my YouTube videos to promote my footage on my online courses and bring them to my website if they wish so I mean, there's different goals. Some people focus full time on building a YouTube channel, and they make a good living with that. But, ah, some people have different goals. I think the YouTube channel as a full time living, is, ah, pretty competitive. And ah, takes a lot of work and you need to focus just on that and publish a lot of videos consistently. But whenever you're goal is, I hope you did learn a lot from this course. We didn't cover every single detail in Adobe Premiere because that would take his six hour epic course. But we definitely did cover enough for you to create some amazing videos very quickly, using the information in this course, so I hope you enjoyed it. Adobe Premiere Course automate to sequence: I in this video we're gonna cover. How can you match your clips to the beat using a technique that's called automated to sequence? This is how the finished product looks. All right. So I'm gonna cover how we set this up. First thing we need to do is have our clips imported. So I've got some clips important here. And ah, it's important that you've already selected the best parts of those clips. So, for example, this clip here, you can press I as the starting points and then Oh, so that shaded part here is the selected part. Same with this clip, etcetera. So once you've done all that, I like to just put an X in front of it so that it's easier to filter and then in search, Ariel, just type in X groups. I was just type in X here. Sarkin, this filter, the clips that I've curated. Next, we need to select our keyboard shortcuts. We need to make sure that we know what our key is for ad marker. So by defaults, it's m all right. And then we need to go to our timeline. I've already got some marks here. I'm just going to clear them. Sometimes you need to go to the source window. Clear all markers. They're gone. Okay. And now put on your headphones or turn up your volume. You need to listen to the music. And as you hear the beat, you need a press. I m okay, I'm familiar this song. But if you're dealing with a new song, I suggest you listen to it several times until you're familiar. The bead, it's It can be more tricky with complicated song patterns. But once you've got that in there, make sure you say that just in case Adobe premiere crashes. And ah, what we need to do in our timeline is just move this timeline needle. That's what I call it. We went to the spot that you want it, okay, to move the needle to where you want it, you then want to highlight the import window and highlight the clips that you want in there . All right. Ideally, you wouldn't want to in sir clips after assuming that you're still building your project. But any case, that's a small thing. So with the clips highlighted that you want in the sequence go to clip on a me to sequence . Okay, You want at a number? Markers, placement at a number, markers, method over edit and hit. OK and boom. It's no inserted. The clips you can tell. I've got a small gap here. Zoom in. There's a small gap right there, so I'm just gonna plug that up by extending clip a bit more and let's let's test this out now. All right, so there's a problem there. We can hear the audio, so let's just delete that. So all right, this can take a few times to get the right timing. Sometimes there may be some lag, or sometimes it just doesn't play smoothly. In the time on, you might actually have to create a draft and see the actual finished product, but if it's let's just say that you need to redo it, you can right click over here. Sometimes you need to go to the actual source we know and, like, clear markers, and then you can do it again. Let's try one more time can get your finger ready on em. Okay. Where am I? I'm ready. Okay. So press the space bar to play. All right, Shea, let's try again. needle over there. It's highlight the import window. Okay, highlighting some of the clips with that. Begin with X. I like clip on May 2 sequence. There we go. All right, let's try again. We have to remove the audio and there's a small gap here. Just gonna zoom in, plug that up by extending it with my most. Okay, okay, it's lagging a bit. Maybe we can increase the playback by just changing this play Bach size to 1/4. So this is not perfect right now. And sometimes you need Teoh, actually give it, ah, export because it's lagging a bit in the timeline. So I'll just show you how a canoe that export media and just select doesn't have to be a high quality copy, just something where you can play it back. So make much source. High betrayed should be enough, and you want the video and audio, and you can even uncheck use Max render quality. You can see the asked me to file side, so anything that's around 102 100 megabytes shouldn't take too long, and it can export that or put it to your cue and play it back and see if we need to make any adjustments. So like I said, if you need to make adjustments, Utkan clear the markers right click and then select. Clear all markers and then just add them again. But it's a matter of just ah practicing, adding the markers that at, you know, the right points in the beats. And ah, it's a really great technique to use. Um, sometimes it can take a lot longer than doing doing this manually, so that's the automate to sequence and great for matching beats to the salt. 13. ADOBE PREMIERE CC 2019 SUMMARY: right guys and girls. We've reached the end of the course and congratulations. First of all, on thanks for taking this course. I hope it's going to army with information that you can quickly get started with Adobe Premiere and start creating amazing videos. I didn't think I would be using Adobe Premiere if you asked me a year ago. I've been a long time MacBook pro user, but our world of technology is changing fast, and I'm now using a Huawei laptop instead of a map Crow on for some of you. You may be in that boat as well, and the reason why I created this course is I didn't want to intimidate people with a long epic course on. So I've done my best to just cover exactly what you need to know and simplify it so you can fall along very quickly on because of that, there are going to be a lot more things in Adobe Premiere that you can discover if you really want to dive into those butts, I would say for now they're not necessary. If you want to create trouble. Music videos that are amazing using drones, go crows and four K wireless camera footage. I've also finished proved that I can do a professional multi camera client video in a note . Premier and I've covered how you could do that. I have covered the techniques and advanced stuff like multi camera video editing. So I've armed you with everything that you can get used to get started, and ah, but the most important thing is that you practice. So the way I learned before at the Decline Project is I did a lot of travel videos using my own footage, and I also cut a lot of stock footage. And, um, I do Khan videos, and in this case, they asked for the footage first, and I shot it with two cameras, two audio sources. And then the client looked at the footage and he asked me how much I would do for the video at it. And I knew that I needed some experience video editing for this type of project, multi camera angles for the future. So I price the video added low. I charged 500 us to do the video at it, even though this was a lot of work and ah, you know what I learned a lot myself going through this project because I had a client on the other end who needed this video very quickly. And I wanted to do a good job. And, um, as a result of that, I was able to pass on some of the learnings to you in this, Um, I also recommend creating a YouTube channel that is going to, um, give you motivation to create videos consistently. If you're creating travel videos, that's a great place to do it. And I just think that there's so much opportunity on YouTube these days. Course. You can also use Instagram, but YouTube is more long form. This is Greg here and his video. We're gonna talk about proxy footage. So wanna proxies? Proxies are basically a way off, making it easier for you to work with footage in lower resolution in the project. But the underlying resolution footage remains the same. So in this case, I wanted to use proxies because I was creating the project in ultra four K resolution. But because I run a ultra laptop whywe 27 quad core dual quad core with 16 gigabytes of RAM , separate Jeep, you two gigabytes still can strain this computer. So the way proxies work are that you need to select the footage that you want to create a proxy off and then you right click and select create proxies. And then you would need to select the right preset, which is usual resolution before mine. I keep his age 264 So for ultra four K, there's actually a reference that said the 12 20 My 7 20 was ideal for this resolution of four K. So definitely Just look that up. Just look up. Adobe Premiere on Google will be Premier proxy and then type in your resolution and you will get the search suggested resolution. If you're using something like full four K, uh, because this will be slightly different, and then you need to select where you're going to save your proxies to. Okay, it's taken, browse creative folder and then you hit. Okay, When you're ready, you can hit, okay? And what will happen is Adobe encoder, which is a companion program, will open up and you'll actually see some batch jobs that are going to appear in Adobe Encoder. It may take a little while it's open. I think it's getting there, and these jobs can run in the background so well, that batches up, and this process does take a little while. But this is something that you can do, you know, before you go out for dinner or you need to go grocery shopping and yeah, it'll make working in the project a lot faster. So well, does that I'm gonna show you what my proxy files, these air ones. I've already ran what they look like. These are actually videophiles, and these should be in resolution. Is there a lower resolution and four K? Okay, so there's a lot of proxy falls there and no be premier is going to allow us to work in premiere and work with, uh, work with it a lot faster. But you need to toggle the proxies. So if you don't see that button, you know, the moaner hit the plus and then you need to find the right icon, which is this one total proxies. And you need to drag it down into that menu bar hit. Okay, so when is blue? It is on. If it's not, then it's off. So tall of them on. If you're working with the project and you want to work with it faster and then take it off before you export a video if you want the full resolution a way to tell whether Clip has already have a proxy created is you can create uh, path to the proxy. Follow if you select the right check box proxy focus so you can see that I already have one on. You can see the full file path here. So if you have this, then you really created a proxy for these video files. So I suggest doing that for clips. Um suggests using bins to organize the clips so you can see here create proxies for these files. And yeah, I lost me to work with the four k footage in the projects a lot faster. So just remember, you need to enable it need to create the proxies and bronze and Joey encoder, which is right here just going to stop this because I just ran it for an example. And, uh, this works in the background while you are video editing, but it's worth doing if you're creating a four k project and, uh, you don't have the hardware to video added very quickly in four K footage. 15. BONUS ADOBE PREMIERE 2019 HOW TO CREATE A CUSTOM GRAPHIC: Hey, guys. Grant hung here and this video, I'm gonna teach you how to create a custom text or motion graphic. So this is an example off the templates that they give you and you can download some from Adobe. But maybe you need something that's more custom, Like, over here, I've got a white background with a question so I couldn't find anything that Adobe offered , so I started to create one. So in this one, we're gonna go ahead and create a new text graphic so you start off by creating a new sequence and, uh, file new sequence where you can do sequence from clip. And I just created one in 10. 80 p. But you might want to create a high resolution one. So here I have my sequence. So we need to go to the graphics workspace when no workspace graphics, and we got a blank canvas right now way we need to creating new layer. So I'm gonna create a rectangle and you can see that it's red. You can change. The color is something else. And I'm gonna make this full size just by using the metal strips. I lost it. They created again, you know. There. Okay, so we ran background on You can see the duration here and then to create the texts. Go to file their text. Whoops. Disappeared. Let's just do it again. Okay, there we go. So what I can do is change the alignment. So it's like that, You know, if you don't see the text in your edit we know here, make sure that the text is above the shape layer, and you can enable, and this enable it. Okay, so there we go. Simple, um, template to use. So, customers, I further we can choose different type of texts so that we can recall these time and time again. Okay, I just use this one, okay? And then we can save it. So we need to go to file export emotional graphic, and, um, we'll save it in my library. We'll just call it read background white text. Okay. And this will go ahead, create this as a template, which I confined under the usual area under essential graphics. This is how I can make your own custom graphics template. Sometimes it takes a little while for the show up, but here we go. So If I'm in my video project, I can not just drag. Listen over and over again, and then I can customize it just by over there. There we go. So go ahead and try and create your own under the graphics workspace. 16. BONUS ADOBE PREMIERE CC 2019 Multi camera Video Editing \: I in this lesson, we're going to learn how to do a multi cam video edit. So this is if you have more than one camera and you want to switch camera angles between camera one and camera, too. To do this, you need your video files both from camera one and camera, too. And if you have separate audio files, you need to have those in your project as well. So I've already gone ahead and imported my video clips. The audio is in the video file, so I've named them camera one for Cam one camera to for Cam to. And one thing you want to make sure before you create the multi camera project is you just wanna browse to make sure that there is portions in the video clip where both camera wanting camera two are foaming at the same time. So it into the unknown. But this is not gonna be a journey. So I've previewed these before. This is cam to, was it not? But this is not gonna be a journey where I simply stand, and that's cam one. So the audio and cam one is better, and it's from a different angle at the back off a room. And, ah, so I've imported them into a project, and now they're ready for me to create a multi cam video project. There's one more thing we need to do, and it's to add this multi camera view. Or you can use Shift Plus Zero and you can find it over here. If you click the button editor and, um, just drag it, simply drag it over into this area and then click. OK, okay, so with you're too clips highlighted, you need to shift click to highlight them both right, click and select. Create multi camera sequence, multi cam tutorial where you can just leave it as it is. I'm going to sink based on audio, and I'm not exactly sure how Premier decides on what's Camera one camera, too. But I recommend to name your file something with Cam. One came to just to make it easier, and I've just selected Truck Channel One, which is the all new track from Camera one, And then I just leave everything else as it is hit. Okay says it's processing and then it's created this multi camera tutorial final, and we can go ahead and create a sequence based off of that. So we're going to right click select new sequence from Clip and let's just expand our timeline. E will see pretty shortly if it worked. So now we see a new window here with two boxes and to toggle back and forth, we're gonna press one for camera one, which is highlighted in yellow. No, and two for camera, too. Okay. And then something else you're gonna want to do is mutes the audio channel that you don't want your not gonna need both all your channels, usually. So I recommend putting on a pair of earphones, and it's gonna be pretty clear which one is better in this case is camera one. I believe it's a one. So what you could do is mute out or disable. They're necessary on your tractor. And you know something? Getting that one of the windows is black because that means that it's not recording yet. So adobe has gone ahead and sink the audio and and the video clips from both cameras. So I'm gonna go ahead and press space bar to start playing the video, and then we're going to make our camera cuts using one and two. So I recommend ladies and gentlemen, Good morning. Wow, What a day to start. What a way to start the week. 1000 people on a Monday morning. This is absolutely awesome. But my name is Grant X. Rawlinson. I'm attained decision making Karch and Human Powered Explorer and over the course of the next, Okay, so but you can see their whips. I think I just believe that on your truck. So let's dive into the timeline by pressing tilde just to see what what happened there when I was pressing wanted to. So it's made some some cuts here, and ah, what it's done is cut from camera one to camera two. And we can make adjustments if you need to, just by bringing the mouse over and dragging. If you want to make it longer. Or let's just say this clip is on camera one. We can flip it to Camera two by highlighting it on the impressing two or flip it back. Not in a nutshell is how we can set up and do multi camera angle video. Edits another tip. If you're going to do a major project and you have a lot of different elements. I recommend creating a different sequence like I have created a sequence just to manage your multi camera video and it and go through the entire portion getting from camera wanted to because it does take some time. And then when you're done, you can either group these two and then have another sequence for your main project. So this is my main project here. And then just just keep this sequence with all the cuts in case you want to make some changes later on, and you can copy this over into the main project. Bonus Fashion show behind the scenes: Hey, what's up, guys? Greg hung here in this video I'm going to do behind the scenes off the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week video. There's a lot to learn here. And ah, I wanted to teach you some of the techniques that I've used to edit this in Adobe Premiere . I'm also gonna share some notes about the actual production side How I shot this. So let's start with that. So I filmed this over two occasions. So if you haven't already, please watch the video a couple times. So you know what I'm talking about and conf all along. So the very first time I got invited to wash a show, so I had a very intimate location that's very close to the actual catwalk. And ah, through that location, I was able to get some really close up shots, but I was located on the right side of the catwalk and Ah, this is where I got that shot. I was able to really get some nice tight shots. Some ah super slow mo shot a HD 100 20 frames. I also shot at Ultra four K 60 frames, Aziz well as full four K at 24 frames the actual project size and resolution is in full HD at 24 frames. And, um yeah. So what does that mean? Well, a means in this project I can use the four K clips for I got more real estate to work worth that conduce. Um, digital zooms with key framing for the, um, ultra four K. I got a nice some nice slo mo's. I can also crop in a bit on that and for the HD club shot 100 20 frames. I did some speed rapping, which I thought would be cool because there's gonna be a lot of motion with these models. I also shouted on the second occasion as someone who wasn't invited as a V i p. So if you've been to the Pavilion Mall Oncale, you'll know that it's multi level, so you can actually see from, you know, the higher levels. Just as a public spectator, you can see this show you can get a really nice bird's eye view. So I took advantage of that. I also got creative and film some clips from the escalator to get some Dolly Dolly type shots that I just couldn't from where I was sitting on the first night. So I shot this on two nights, lost different resolutions, loss of different frame rates. Let's get down to the actual editing side of things. So let's start off in the this paddle here where we got our media got my song nice, upbeat song that matches the fashion show and ah yeah, let's just expand this window. Take a quick peek at what type of footage we're dealing with so I can see a lot of ultra four K and ah, these air actually shot at 60 frames in my camera, But they show up in premieres 29.97 These the full four K clips, 24 frames and ah, the clips that ever ready gone through in curated. I've marked with an X at the beginning. Make a little note sometimes, like this is the wine shot just helps. When I'm editing, trying to pick from some clips, I'll just quickly show you some of these clips I've curated so I can see here of marked in using I Mark. You'll see how I use these clips when I get to the actual beat matching or match to automate, to sequence, that's where. A match. These clips, too, The drum beat of the song. And yeah, I've got a BIN folder. I've also tried to color code things just to distinguish between some of the different clips, like ultra four K or full four K, but actually in the end, and then use that too much. I did separate the HD 120 frame clips, though you can see these are all HD 120 frames, but it shows up in Adobe as 23.976 That's actually 120 frames. Not sure why that is okay with that all the way. Ah, let's actually look going to the timeline, all right? Where some key things to point out, Yeah. First, I want to let you know that I actually wanted to use another song, right? Said Fred. It's a very popular fashion song, so just to give you an idea, you can actually duplicate the entire project, which I'm gonna do now and later on. I can make a different version with minimal effort because of duplicated. That's all need to do this. Double click on there on the copy, and it's an exact copy of the project, so leave it your effort next. That's Ah, was, darlin, That's darling. Zoom into the project a bit. So I start off here just by giving some contacts, just letting people know that it's fashion week, You know? What? What's the occasion? Okay. Giving some, uh, you know, some atmosphere shots, people getting ready for the so then I get straight into Okay. You can see some markers here so you can add markers by pressing m watch my automates a sequence lesson, but yeah. Here. I've just matched some of the clips here to the beat. Okay, so we're back. So cramping. I sped up the middle hair. Let's just go over to right. Click select speed duration, and you can see a sped this up. 600% others I spent up more. That was a pretty fast one. So the speed rump basically just make an incision using C to cut it. And one there, one there. And when you speed up the clip, it's gonna become really small. So then you want to make the incision pretty close to the end off the clip? Because after it speeds up, you want do you want? A bit of a portion at normal speed to play. So let's just right click on this to see how much I sped it up. Well, 1400% so you can compare the clip. This last speed rampant just showed you, which was 600%. This one's 1400. Yeah, this one's also sped up here. The 1600% okay, Uh, way. Okay, to be honest, I think cooked up something here. So the good thing about Adobe is that it saves older copies, and that's what I need right now. I need the auto save. I need a copy of the fashion show before today. All right. We have the meat of the project, the timeline. So let's just go through this pretty quickly. Let's just compress that panel there to give us more real estate. All right, so we can see that we've got our logo watermark there, maybe. Ah, not sure where that is until I zoom in. We've got an adjustment layer at the end there. We've just got some, uh, Paltrow's video. Altro is to promote my video school and got a nice video animation at the end. We've got an adjustment there to apply. But if saturation and but if saturation and maybe a color filter to the entire project V two, I usually reserved for some b roll. And, uh, yeah, let's just play this thing through getting I'm establishing project with some contacts, and then I jumped right in different angles. And if you haven't already playback this video several times before, you jump in here so you can fall along. So this is where I introduced a speed run slow motion, and then I sped up 600 times. So you can see here 600%. So you can just do this by making incision with a cut press, see? And then just cut one hair and then one just before the end so that the middle the sandwich is where you going to speed it up. And then you want the end portion to play at normal speed so you can play around with where you make the incisions as well as theatrical speed of the speed ram sandwich for different looks and effects. Okay. - Shots and e really like these. Uh, I've done some keep dreaming here, so you just go over to effect controls. You can see that I'm using some four K clips, and I'm I'm zooming in. Let's just study one of them. So we start off at about 100 10 and then we go to about 130 something nice things for Theo. Another applied some effect to it. Okay, so this is the beat matching here. So watch that lesson, if you're interested, may not play so smoothly in the actual timeline. But at a glance here, I meet some markers that matched to the beats. And, you know, these save just a variety of shots along with the B and then ended it with a nice animation with my logo. And I got this over at Adobe Stock. If you're interested, is one of three ones. Thought this kind of colorful nice, nice shapes and it kind of goes along with the fashion show theme and want to finish it with feeding up the music over here. Like I said, promoting some my fashion, not my fashion, but my my products and services, My own line school, my footage. So that, in a nutshell, is behind scenes on this fashion video and ah, you know something. One thing I will comment on is that it does take a long time to build out these projects. Something that I wanted to do was to try out some different music with this project. So I can actually duplicate this file here by pressing just by searching the name of the sequence. It's not here or here it is. So that's the name of sequence. I can actually duplicate this. And I've got a whole duplicate of this project which I can no play with an experiment.
