Project Description

**LAUNCH CONTEST**

Congratulations to Stephanie Cavallaro, Eduardo Viviani and Tatiana Bischak for winning our random draw for a 30 minute 1-on-1 video call! Thanks to everyone who participated! And just because the contest is over, doesn't mean you should stop submitting those awesome projects ;)

Assignment

Now that you are equipped with a whole new set of tools, let’s try them out!

Your assignment is to take any previous work that you’ve created (or one of the alternatives I’ve attached) and level up the colour scheme of it using what you’ve learned!

Deliverable

In your project you will need to submit:

  1. The original artwork
  2. The revised artwork
  3. A brief description of what technique(s) you used

Resources

  1. Vector Illustration: Make a Fantasy Weapon - Skillshare class on making a weapon in Adobe Illustrator
  2. Understanding Color Modes - Article that explains the different colour modes and how they work
  3. Output Levels - What actually is happening when you play with output levels in Photoshop
  4. Curves - A more in-depth look at the curves adjustment layer
  5. How I Work With Color - Recommended reading on adjusting colours in photoshop
  6. GIMP - Free alternative to Photoshop; available on Mac and PC
