About This Class

The Pen Tool is one of the most powerful components to any vector editing software—and Adobe Illustrator is no exception. Sometimes however, its use can be quite time-consuming. That's where this class comes in.

There are countless ways to create shapes and paths in Adobe Illustrator that have nothing to do with the pen tool. Oftentimes the solutions are quicker, easier and look better than if you actually did it by hand.

Enroll today and learn how the majority of my illustrations, despite containing shapes ranging from the geometric to organic, are built with little to no use of the pen tool!

I learned more in this class and how to apply it to practical design than I did in one semester's worth of an Illustrator class where I was frustrated most of the time. Hayden is a really great teacher and explains things in a very natural and easy to follow way that helps me think through practical applications.
Wonderful class. I've been a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for over 10 years and I still found a lot of neat little tricks in this course. Hayden Aube is an excellent teacher. He explains things thoroughly and does a great job at helping build that much needed confidence that designers of all skill levels need.

Holy Caffeine!

This class is packed with incredibly useful tips. I knew how to do a number of these techniques/effects, but not nearly as easily as taught by the class. Should help a lot with efficiency and overall look of my work.
