A Simple Often Overlooked Method to Get the Creative Juices Flowingd method to get the creative juic: Okay, let me give you a very simple, very easy way to generate massive amounts of new ideas. Now, the method I'm about to share with you on the surface is not gonna appear new. But let me give you a specific way to do it so that well, it will yield you the maximum amount of positive result in new ideas. So what you want to do is this. You want to take a sheet of paper and a pen, and you want to just write down at the top, whatever your overall idea is. Okay, So let's say like in the world that I'm in, which is the personal development space. Let's say that I might write down goal setting like I'm trying to brainstorm a new course for you to me or a new book. I want to write or whatever it ISS. So let's say I write down goal setting. What I want to do then, is I want to just list out in an uncensored way every single thing that I can think of in relation to gold setting So I might write down motivation. I might write down procrastination. I might down right down smart goals, even things that are loosely related to goal setting. I want to go ahead and I wanna put those down on paper. Now, here's how to make this method really work for you. Okay, But before I share the rest of it, let me ask you a question. Have you ever been trying to remember the name of a movie or a song? And for the life of you, you just could not remember it. You know, you're talking with your friend and they say, Hey, what was that movie we watched, you know? Oh, a month ago, what was that movie that we went out and song? We both really liked it. And you guys were sitting there and you're struggling. You're really trying to remember the name of that movie. You're racking your brain as it were, but you just can't seem to remember it. And then what happened? Well, ultimately, what happens is you finally get so tired of struggling to try to remember the name of that movie that you finally just stop out of, you know, frustration and basically mental fatigue. And you start to do something else like you go on a jog or you get in the shower. You're doing housework or you go to work, whatever it is. And then all of a sudden, when you least expect it, what happens? Well, the name of that movie pops into your head, and suddenly you text your friend or you call your friend. You say, Oh, I remember the name of that movie. It was whatever it waas. So you can use that same mental mechanism to generate new ideas for you because the interesting thing is it's often overlooked is that your subconscious mind will work in the background for you. And part of the reason why people get stuck mentally is they're trying to do everything consciously, and your conscious mind is not really the the right vehicle to get you where you want to go . When it comes to generating fresh creative ideas, fresh creative ideas come from your subconscious mind, so you want to allow it to do its job. It's almost like a gift from nature from God or universal intelligence or whatever. Okay, so here's how you do it. I already said you write down all those ideas on a sheet of paper, right? So soon as you feel like you have consciously exhausted every idea that you can think of and put it all down on paper in relation to that overall idea. What I want you to do next is do something else. Go for a walk, do whatever it takes to get your mind off of whatever it is that you're trying to remember or excuse me, whatever it is that you're trying to come up with, okay, totally shift gears and go in a new direction. All right, Do whatever you need to do to forget about. That's the key. You can't pretend you can't trick yourself into it and say, Well, I'm just gonna take my mind off of it, but really, in the back of your mind, you're still trying to think of it. You can't do that. It only works when you completely forget about what you're trying to do by taking your mind off of it. So now you're out in your grocery shopping or whatever it is, what's gonna happen is those new fresh ideas in relation to what you start you started to put down on paper are gonna pop into your head. So what you need is you need something to record those ideas with. I want you to resist the urge to try and talk yourself into the idea that you're going to remember these ideas when they pop into your head, right? Like, oh, I'm not gonna write it down or I'm not gonna take a moment to pull out my phone and do a voice note of recorded with your voice memo because I'm just gonna remember it for many, a great idea has been lost because of that crappy logic. The fact is, is that more often, more often than not, you're not going to remember that idea. So you need to have something with you to record those ideas as they pop into your head So you can think of it like this. Okay, that first part of consciously getting the ball rolling is sort of like, you know, you're pushing that rock and you're moving it. You're getting some momentum behind it. As soon as you get a little bit of mo mentum and you're moving that rock in a certain direction, then you want to let go and see what springs up from the deeper parts of your mind spontaneously and then record those now one way that you can really supercharge This method , Excuse me, is to combine it with the method that I showed you in the last section, which is too, which was to get yourself in a more creative frame of mind by helping your brain to produce more beta waves. So excuse me, More alpha waves. So go back and revisit that lecture if you haven't done that already, and you want to combine that technique with everything else that I'm gonna be showing you, and it will really help to get you better quality answers because, as I pointed out, you're gonna process the world and information and ideas differently based on which brain state that you're in. So make sure that you're also in an optimal brain state to really add legs to this method. So now that you have a proven, simple, effective way to generate new ideas and to get unstuck when you need those creative juices flowing, join me in the next video 3.
