Project Description

For this class, I will make the first two blocks which I had covered in my first two classes.

The first block is simply made of squares. It is exactly the same as my introductory class. However, in this class I have shown a better way to deal with the seams. All the seams are nested and distributed equally.

The second block is using the HST, half square triangles. Please refer to my second class on how to make the HSTs.

This is the list of materials required for these two blocks:

  • a print or your main fabric, ½ meter or two fat quarters, FQ
  • your background fabric, ½ meter or two fat quarters, FQ
  • the back for your cushion cover if you choose this option, 1 meter for ONE.

If you are cutting from the yardage, cut a 4.5-inch strip from the width of fabric for the first block. The second strip you need to cut 5 inch.
