About This Class

In this class, I will be showing simple everyday clothing repairs by hand. The first skill students will learn includes the two basic skills needed to get started mending and repairing their clothing. This will include learning to thread their needles and tying a knot in their thread. The second skill students will learn is how to sew basic seams. This will allow them to be able to mend clothing where the seams are coming apart. The third skill students will learn is how to sew on a patch. This will enable students to patch up clothing that may have obtained a hole.The fourth skill students will learn is how to sew a hem. This will enable students to know how to hem up a pair of pants or skirt that may be too long for them. The fifth skill students will learn is how to sew on a shank button. This will enable students to be able to replace any shank button that may have fell off their clothing. The sixth skill students will learn is how to sew on a 2-hole button. This will enable students to replace any 2-hole button that may have fell off their clothing. Finally, the seventh skill students will learn is how to sew on o 4-hole button. This will enable students to replace any 4-hole button that may have fell off their clothing.
