About This Class

Creativity is a muscle that can be built. Just like daily exercise will build your physical muscles, daily sketchbook practice will build the skills and the creativity you desire in your art.

One of the things I have become obsessed with lately is creating my own sketchbooks. I've already created two book binding classes for you on simple ways to create your own sketchbooks. In this class, I wanted to show you how you can create your own sketchbooks without any sewing. I'm going to go step-by-step through several different types of sketchbooks.

By the end of this class, you will have many different sketchbooks you can use. There are endless numbers of ways you can use your sketchbooks. Some of my favorite are just the quick and easy, one-minute, no sew sketchbook.

Some good ideas here. I especially like the stapling into an eraser trick.
Thank you Shelley for this terrific class. You have shown me that making myself a sketchbook does not have to be hard or expensive. I really can;t believe how easy it is! I would most certainly recommend this class. Everyone can use a book with blank pages whether it be for art or for a to-do list. Although I truly hope it is art as Shelley intended for the class. You will not regret your time spent learning this very easy but very useful skill. Go on....click, enrol.....enjoy the class!
This is the best video I've seen on creating a book that I can use as an art journal. I have several mad ideas that I can't wait till I reach my weekend to try.Thank you Shelley! Will try to post as soon as I get them completed.

Ready to learn the art of lettering and watercolor, the easy way? I know what it's like to be a beginner. And I know what it's like to battle the inner critic. The fear, self-doubt, and comparison.

But, I have learned to embrace the artist in me and have re-discovered the joy of creating art.

Art can help you:

  • Relax and have fun. It's been an amazing form of self-care for me.
  • Discover the power of color. Creating art can bring you so much joy.
  • Create beautiful pieces you can display in your home or give as gifts.
  • And so much more!

I'm passionate about teaching others and love seeing each of you have the courage to embrace your creativity and choose to create art.

In my classes, I will take you step-by-step through the learning process and cheer you on in this beautiful journey of creativity and color.
