How do you say in Spanish? I haven't. Well, I didn't. No, Oy, you haven't. Or you didn't? No us. Who said Noah or no a base, depending on whether you're talking to a singular person, you know very well. A singular person in the formal or in the plural. He hasn't all he didn't. L know. Uh, she hasn't. Well, she didn't A Yeah, Noah. Pablo hasn't or Pablo didn't. Pablo. Nora, we haven't or we didn't. No animals. They haven't all they didn't. No one. And don't forget that you can put any past participle onto the end off any of those phrases to form the past tense in Spanish. Now, in this lesson, we're going to look at how to form questions in the past tense. So, a few lessons ago we learned how the past was made up off to parts. For example, in the phrase a Camilo A Camilo, which means I have eaten. We have a which is the auxiliary verb meaning I have on then. Camilo is the past participle meaning eaten, then we learned that you can make the past tense. Negative. So no echo meal. No, I, Camilo, means I haven't eaten on. It's made up off a negative auxiliary verb noi, which means I haven't Andi the past participle, Camilo. Meaning eaten well in this lesson, we're going to look at how to make this past tense into a question, and it's really very simple in Spanish. The anything you have to do is put question marks in front and at the end you put an upside down question mark at the start. Onda a normal question mark at the end on did you can raise your voice at the end to make it sound like a question. So a committal, a committal means have you eaten a Camilo? And so it's simple is made up off the normal auxiliary verb. But we can call it the question or go to river because it has a question mark in front of it. So in this sentence means have you on? Then again, we have the past participle, Camilo, meaning eaten. So that means, have you when it is used in a question. So how would you say in Spanish? Have you ordered a medieval Pedigo and you'll notice that it is identical to the phrase you have ordered at video. The only difference is that there are question marks at the start and that the end on did in speaking because they're identical, you have to make sure that you really raise your voice at the end and make it sound like a question. So don't say that video, you have to say at the needle, Have you ordered? 3. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 45b: How would you ask in Spanish. Have you eaten? I, Camilo a Camilo. Have you reserved what I said about turning statements into questions in Spanish? Really Is just a simple as plunking a question mark at the end. One of the start on raising your voice to make it sound like you're asking a question we've already seen. That means you have in non questions on it, have you in questions. Let me just add one extra snippet of information. The word ah can mean you have. He has all she has. So sometimes it's wise to add a clarify. If you put the word of stairs with, ah, then it can only ever mean you have. You can put the or stare in front or after the word, and this goes for questions as well as non questions. So, uh, instead are on. At worst, Ed. All can mean, have you or you have but anyway, or you have to do is put an upside down question mark. Other start Onda a normal one at the end, and you have a question in Spanish, for example, on Camilo on communal means they have, but if you surround it with question marks and raise your voice at the end. You get on Kamino and Camilo. Meaning have they. So how would you say in Spanish? Have they ordered on video on illegal? Have they eaten on Kamino on Camilo? Have they reserved on breast or a bottle on restaurant row? Let's have a look at all the different auxiliary verbs in Spanish to form the past tense. So we've already had thes, but let's just go through them again. A means I have us is. You have a le means he has. Yeah. Uh, is she has bedroom? Huh? Means Pedra house. Uh, means you have Amos Means we have a vase. Means you have and on is they have on all the words in the brackets are completely optional . Just like I was saying a moment ago. The world will step, for example, can be placed in front of our so that it can only mean you have similarly l can only mean he has on a, uh can only mean she has. But if you take the l A area or step off the word by itself could mean he has. She has all you have. So the extra words in brackets just are clarifies that make it clear as to whom you're speaking about. Now, to turn any of these organized webs into questions or you have to do is put a question mark at the start and at the end on radio voice slightly So a in a question means have I us means Have you, uh, has he a, uh Has she Pedro, uh, has Petru instead? Uh, after you. Amos, Have we a vase? Have you and on Have they? 4. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 45c: So we've just seen the different auxiliary verbs in questions in Spanish. And don't forget that there are three different ways to say you have. There's us, which is used informally when you're speaking to one person. That's the singular informal who stayed, uh, is used formerly when you're speaking toe one person. So that's the singular form away, and then a bass is the plural way. Now you'll also notice that the word A appears quite a lot. And I've already said that the word can mean Have you has he or has she? So you can add the X little words instead l a area. So instead, our means Have you, Ella means, Has he, Andi Ada means, has she? But the extra words are optional. So you can just say, uh, if it's clear as to human speaking about So how would you ask in Spanish? Have I eaten a Camilo? A committal. Have you eaten? Ask amigo who stayed a Camaro? Oh, a vase. Camino. Has he eaten? L a committal. El Camino. Has she eaten? And a Yeah, I come. You a committal? Has Pedra eaten Pedro? A committal Pedro at communal Has Maria eaten Maria a Camaro. Maria, A communal. Have we eaten a most Camino A mosque, amigo. Have they eaten on Kamino? And come, you? The verb toe weight in Spanish is a spirit. So how would you say, Have I waited a spirit Espino? 5. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 45d: How would you say in Spanish? Have you waited us a spit at all? Who said I spit at all I race Desperado now? I wasn't going to mention this until later on in the course, but I thought I'd get out of the way with taking start to get used to it. And that is that in Spanish. So far we've seen three different ways to say, have you? But in actual fact, there are four different ways we've seen us, who stayed on a raise. So us is, have you when you're speaking to one person informally. So it's the singular informal Allstate are is the singular when you're speaking formally, So it's the formal, singular way of saying, Have you? And then I said that our base is the plural, but actually our base is the informal plural. So if you're speaking to more than one person that you know, then you would say a based. However, there is a plural, formal way of saying, Have you and that is your status on. We'll stay this on so that's used when you're speaking to more than one person and you don't know them. So it's the more polite way of saying Have you in the plural? Now on we've seen means they have or have a But it can also mean have you So the extra little word or status can be used to mean the plural way of saying you. So most areas an means have you in the plural formal? So really, we could go back to the Have you waited question on Add the extra one. So have you waited? It can be us a spear Travel who stay. I spare travel a base, a spin at all. And who status on ESPN. How would you ask? Has he waited? Uh, Speed at all or L I Spiro Has she waited A Yeah, I spit at home. Yeah, I Spiro has Pedra waited. Pedro, I spit Pedro, I spit out. Has Maria waited? Maria Esperanza Maria. I spit out. Have we waited? A most desperado? A most desperado 6. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 45e: How would you ask? In Spanish. Have they waited on a spit other? I'm a Speedo. Have I finished a terror me novel? Eight Jeremy novel. Have you finished asked Enemy No. You stay a terminar of a stare Me Now whose status until me novel Has he finished? I didn t know A a tell me novel. Has she finished? I tell me. No A Yeah, at that Um you know Has Pedro finished Pedro at their amino? Pedro a Tell me now. Has Maria finished? Maria, let me know. Maria, tell me now. Have we finished a most enemy now? A most Tell me now Have they finished? I'm dead to me now I'm tell me now. So the auxiliary verbs in the question format in Spanish are a meaning. Have I Yes. Who stayed? I always or status on all mean have you? Us is the singular informal. Who instead is the singular formal A race is the plural informal on Bruce Davis on is the plural formal l R. Means has he a Yeah, uh has she Pedro means has Pedro, Amos means have we and on means have they and we have to do is put a past participle onto the end off any of those on. Do you have the questions in the past tense in Spanish? 7. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 45f: It's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. How would you ask? In Spanish. Have you ordered some wine? Ask buried over. You know we'll save. Have a speedy the we know. Oh, you stare is unpalatable. Have you reserved a table for tonight? Maria was jailed yesterday and I'm ill today. 11. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 45.5a: questions in the past. Now this is just another quick lesson to talk about another little problem that exists in English but not in Spanish. We've seen in the past tense in Spanish. You can get questions like this who stay calm. You know who stayed a communal on. We said that it means have you eaten and it's made up off a question. Or the reverb who stayed are meaning. Have you on the past? Participle, Camilo? Meaning eaten. So hopefully now you've grasped how to ask questions in the past in Spanish. But let me just point out that in English there are usually two ways to say the same thing in Spanish, so the phrase will step back. Amido can be translated into English, either as have you eaten or did you eat? And this is the case. Whenever you ask questions in the past, in Spanish on sometimes it can be tricky because it can put you off when you're thinking off something in English and you want to say it in Spanish, you might be thinking, Well, how do I say, Did I when you want to say something like, Did I eat or how do I say? Have I or did I Hey, have you or did you? Us instead? Uh, I always Oh, whose state is on. Has he or did he Ella? Has she or did she? Yeah, uh, has Pedro or did Pedro Pedro, Uh, have we or did we a month? Have they or did they? I'm now in this lesson. We're going to add a little bit more to the past tense, and we're going to look at how to form negative questions. In the past tense. A few lessons ago, we learned that the past tense was made up of two parts. For example, in the phrase a committal, which means I have eaten. It's made up off an auxiliary verb. A meaning I have on the past participle, Camilo. Meaning eaten. We then learned how to make this tense. Negative. We have to do is put no in front of the ordinary. So in the phrase No, Camilo, which means I haven't eaten. We have the negative auxiliary verb noi, meaning I haven't and then the same past participle on the end communal, which means eaten. Then we've just learned how to make this into a question or you have to do is put question marks at the beginning and the end off the normal past tense. So a Camilo means have you eaten the R is a question. Auxiliary verb. Meaning, have you? And we just put the past participle on the end, which is committal. Meaning eaten. So now let's look at how to turn it into a negative question we have to do is take the normal question and then put no in front of the ordinary. So no, I, Camilo, Noah Camilo means Haven't you eaten? And it's made up of Noah. The negative question or that reverb meaning, haven't you on the past participle communal. So if Noah means, haven't you in a question in Spanish? How would you ask? Haven't you ordered? No. A video? No, I believe you. Or how would you say? Haven't you eaten? No, I, Camilo. No, I, Camilo. Or if you want to put or step in the negative questions, the or stead goes in front of the no. So instead calm. You know, 17. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 46b: How would you ask? In a Spanish Haven't you reserved no arrests or a bottle who stayed? No other survival. Haven't they ordered no one video? No one pidio Haven't they eaten? No income. You know No income. You haven't. They reserved no one restaurant Bado no one restaurant. Borrow in the last lesson. We looked at all the question or the river verbs in Spanish which were a meaning. Have I us? Meaning? Have you Ella? Has he A Yeah. Uh which means has she bedroom? Huh? Has Pedro who stayed up? Have you animals? Have we a race? Have you on a new meaning, Have they? Well, to turn them into negative off their verbs. We just put no in front of them. So we get Noi meaning, haven't I? No us, haven't you? L know, uh, hasn't he area Noah, hasn't she? Pedro? Nora hasn't Pedro instead, Noah, Haven't you no animals, haven't we? No. I base, haven't you? And no one meaning, haven't they? And we learned in the last lesson that there are four ways to say you have or have you? The fourth way was on or status on which is the formal plural version. Well, you can also do that in the negative. So no on means, haven't they? But it can also mean, haven't you? And you can put your status in front if you like. If it's not clear as to the difference. So how would you ask In Spanish. Haven't I eaten? No, I Camilo, No. Hay camino. Haven't you eaten? No es comida. Oh, who stayed Noah Camino? No, I raise Camilo. Well, Status no. And communal hasn't heat and El Camino. And no, a committal. 18. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 46c: How would you ask? In Spanish. Hasn't she eaten a Yeah. Noah. Camilo, am like Emilio hasn't Pedro eaten bedroom? Noah! Camilo. Pedro! Noah! Communal hasn't Maria eaten? Maria! Noah! Calm. You know Maria. Noah! Camilo! Haven't we eaten? No, I must commit. Go. Noise Barrage Noise s Pero Haven't you waited? No, I suspect Houston. Noah Spiro. No obvious respirable Who status? No, An Spiro. Hasn't he waited? L know. I spit and noise. Bravo! Hasn't she waited? No Interminable. Hasn't he finished? And North Ermenault? L know after me now. Hasn't she finished? A You know what? Let me know. Ahah north, Let me know. Hasn't Pedra finished bedroom? No attorney Now they They don't know what that means. No. Hasn't Maria finished? Mariano? What? That you know Maria. No other me now. I haven't refinished. No, I must tell me now. No, I must tell me now. Haven't they finished? No. And tell me. No, no. And tell me novel. So in this lesson we've looked at the negative. All the river verbs which were not a meaning, haven't I? No, us? Well, state Noah. Norway's Ondo State is no an or mean. Haven't you? N no, uh means hasn't he a young Noah? Hasn't she bedroom? Noah hasn't Pedram no emos means, haven't we, Andi? No one means, haven't they and all you have to do is put a past participle on the end of any of those, and you have a negative question in the past tense in Spanish. 20. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 46e: It's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. This problem arises with negative questions in the past. So negative questions in the past in Spanish are made up of two parts. For example, Noah Camilo, No, El Camino means Haven't you eaten? And it's made up of Noah, which is a negative question. Or the river meaning, haven't you, Andi Camilo, which means eaten and it's a past participle. So, Noah Camilo means Haven't you eaten? But in English, there are two ways to translate this sentence. You can say, Haven't you eaten? Or you can also say, Didn't you eat this? Can sometimes cause problems in Spanish because when you're thinking of something to say in English, for example, didn't you eat? You might be thinking, Well, how do you say Didn't? But in Spanish, you don't say. Didn't you say haven't so rather than saying didn't you eat? You say, Haven't you eaten? No. A comedy. So how would you say in Spanish? Haven't I eaten? How do you say in Spanish, Haven't I? Or didn't I? No way. Haven't you or didn't you? No. Ask who's dead? Noah Norway's Oh, who studies no one, Hasn't he? Or didn't he? And Noah? Hasn't she? Or didn't she? Yeah. No, uh, hasn't Pablo or didn't public Pablo Noah? Haven't we all? Didn't we? No. Imus, haven't they? Or didn't they? No. On. Let's have a recap now off the past tense on Bring everything together. Let me also just tell you that there is another name for this past tense in Spanish that we've been learning. The correct grammatical name for this tense is the present perfect tense. I know it seems weird to have a tense called the present perfect minutes talking about the past, but that's what it's called. We'll look a bit more at the different names for tenses in a later lesson, but for now, just know that this past tense can also be called the present perfect tense. So basically, the past tense is made up off to parts in Spanish. However, you can change the first part, which is the auxiliary verb to say, a variety of different things. So a Camilo means I have eaten on. It's made up off an auxiliary verb, a meaning I have on the past participle Camilo, which means eaten in the negative past tense, for example, nor a committal, which means I haven't eaten well. That's made off the negative auxiliary verb, nor a which means I haven't. And you can put the same old past participle on the end, Camilo. Meaning eaten. You can make this tent into a question. For example, a Camilo, which means have you eaten or you need is the question off the reverb, Which means have you and the past participle such as Camilo meaning eaten on. Then we contend it into a negative question. For example, Noah, Camille, Noack, Amedo. Which means haven't you eaten? And so this is made up off the negative question organ reverb, Noah. Which means, haven't you on the past participle Camilo, Meaning eaten. And don't forget that in Spanish. Whenever you ask the question, you always have to put an upside down question mark at the start. On a normal question, mark at the end. We also learned that there are two ways to say the same thing in the past tense in English . But in Spanish, you'd have to worry about that. So, uh, means you have and you can put any past participle on the end of it. For example. Camilo, you have eaten. I tell me now you have finished. Or a salido you have left. Noah can mean you haven't. Or it can also mean you didn't in English. So no, Carmelo could mean you haven't eaten. Or you, didn't he? No, I tell me now you haven't finished or you didn't finish? No. As a little. You haven't left or you didn't leave in the question. Uh, can mean, have you? Or did you? So a Camilo can mean. Have you eaten? Or did you eat Jeremy novel? Have you finished or did you finish a salido? Have you left or did you leave? And then finally the negative question, not her can be translated either. As haven't you or didn't you? No. A committal. Haven't you eaten well? Didn't you eat? No, I tell me now. Haven't you finished? Or didn't you finish? No, it's a little. Haven't you left or didn't you leave 31. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 47b: So let's practice what we've been learning in the last few lessons. How do you say in Spanish? Can he or can she? So by putting the word or still in the sentence, you make it Definitely you. So how much you say in Spanish? Can you pay? My God. Oh, well. Still pointed out, you can put the word or stead pretty much anywhere in the sentence. So you could say Well, step with Agata where they are weighted by God instead, as long as it's in there somewhere. It makes it clear that you're talking about you. So how could you say in Spanish? What can you do? Keep with the A theater? Oh, get where they will stay, I said, And you can even put it at the beginning of this sentence. Will still keep very affair. Well, im astronomy l County, where they will stay most Rommel Corti. Now, if we take the May off the end off most rattled me. We left with the most And what's the matter means to show the most are we get from the world Demonstrate If you look at the word demonstrate in English, it's sort of contains most are in the middle little bit to demonstrate means to show someone how something works. And in Spanish, the web muestra is usually followed by the word which means to so most are means to show to . So if you want to say the sentence, can you show the car to Miguel? You would have to use the word for two, although in actual fact, this sentence would have an r in front of the name anyway, because don't forget in Spanish in front of names, you have to use the personal If the name is an object, so can you show the Carter Miguel is where the most are El Corte Armenian? Oh, you still pretty most l Koji In English, there are two different ways to say that sentence, you can say, Can you show the car to Miguel? Oh, you could say, Can you show Miguel the car? So in English, if you put Miguel in front of the car, you get rid of the word to so it goes from Can you show the car to Miguel to? Can you show Miguel the car in Spanish? However, you always have to say to Miguel, no matter where you put the name, whether you put it in front of the car or after the car because it's the object that's being shown the car, you always have to use the word in Spanish. So can you show the car to Miguel? Is will stay where the most our equity, Um, again. Or if you want to say, Can you show me Gail the car You would say Boustead 20 muestra Miguel El Corte. So you still use the word up in front of the name who step where the most are a Miguel Elko T. So literally or saying, Can you show to Miguel the car? So in Spanish mozzarella is always followed by our If you're showing something to somebody , whether or not the to is mentioned in English, for example, if you want to say, Can you show Maria where the shop is? You have to say in Spanish, where they most are a Maria Don't a Stella Tienda with the most random Aryan on the style at the end. So literally what you're saying here is can you show to Maria? Where is the shop where the most are a Maria Nunez Salatin? And so that's how you say it inspires. You always have to put in front of the person who is being shown something another example would be I'm going to show Pedro later. When in Spanish you have to say, boy, I am Australia, a Pedro masterly more almost Arana Pedro McStarley, which literally means I'm going to show to Pedro later. Boy am a star Pedro Master. Today, the only exception total. This is when you say show me which you now know is most right on me. This is because in Spanish the word may means me or to me, so you don't need the extra. So can you show me in Spanish is where they most thriving me. Who will step where they must travel me 41. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 48g: How would you say in Spanish? Can you show Diego where the most are you who state where the most rare and Yale so literally have to say. Can you show to Diego? How would you say, Can you show Maria where the muestra Amariyah, where they will stayed most rodham area Can you show me where they must travel me where they instead most around me. Can you show me where the bank is so literally innocents? And you would have to say, Can you show me? Where is the bank with the most army on their style, Banco, where they will stayed most army. Donde esta el banco? How would you say I'm going to show something to Miguel Boy? Almost are algo Miguel boy A most Rocco and Miguel. I'm not going to show it to Sofia. No, by most Ravello a Sofia? No. Where most travelers, Sophia. So most rattle law is to show it. No way. Almost Ravello. Sophia, can you show me where I can hire a car where they must army? Don't they play the guitar on court where they will stay most round me and only quit while Qwilleran County Can you show Pedro where the shop is, where the most are a bedroom, no less Salatin where you stayed muestra Pedro No Mestalla tienda. So literally in this sentence, you're saying, Can you show to Pedro where the shop is, where they must travel a Pedro Sonesta Latina? 42. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 48h: Here's your last word for this lesson. Andi. It's another verb with May on the end. And this here may miss here May. And just to point out again that whenever you see the letter C in Spanish followed by an I or an E, you can pronounce it either. Like the letter s so this year for me or like the t hate in think the theater Me. So this year may only theater may you could say Either way on it means to tell me in the theater me generally as a rule you're here in this era me in the South Spain onda the theater me more in the north of Spain. Andi. In Latin American countries, they tend to say this seal me. But that's not a rule. That's just a generalization. But even to does everyone you prefer. So how would you ask in Spanish? Can you tell me where did I see it? Of me where they all stand in this era? Me. Can you tell me where I can pay where they may? Don't they put a bag? Are where they will stay? The Sierra Me? Don't they play the bar? Can you Tell me where I can hire a call where they see me. Don't take quite a while. Don't count Where they Who said the serum? A Don't make quite a while. Qwilleran Coaching. How would you ask? Are you going to tell me by receiving me? Mouse stared at the ceiling. Me? Can you tell me what time breakfast is on? Literally in Spanish? You would have to say, Can you tell me? At what time is the breakfast with a The serum A k aura sls are you know where you stayed? The Sierra Miyake order, you know? Can you tell me if I have paid whether they still may see a Picasso 20 this year may see a Picasso. 43. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 48i: How would you ask? In Spanish. Can you tell me why? Where they they sell me? Por que Where they will stayed the serum e por que? Can you tell me tomorrow where they make money? Ana Really? Who stayed the serum? Ammonia. So in this lesson, we've had quite a few verbs. Onda a lot of them ended with may, meaning me. So we've had puedo, which means I can a ser or affair meaning to make or to do so Don't forget that the letter C If it's followed by an E or and I, you can pronounce like an s as in a sale or like the th in think so affair. Then we had Seiki Eddie Seiki Eddie. Which means if you want Seiki Eddie, no puedo no puedo means I can't were they means, can you? Or you can put your step anywhere in the sentence to make it more clear. Because clearly by itself can actually mean can you? Can he or can she? So where they all Steve just means Can you then I you that means to help. Are you that on May to help me most Rod means to show most anatomy means to share me and the most travel is always followed by when it's showing somebody most rural, uh, followed by a name. And then we had the fear me, which means to tell me. 44. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 48j: It's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. How do you say in Spanish? No Puedo ayudar para Oh Puerto Yamada Maria, A stop in Barcelona. No way! The way without Biro with Oyamada Maria A stock in Barcelona. Can you tell me where the restaurant is? Really? The pyramid on the start in restaurant where they will stand the serum in on this stuff in our sovereignty Can you show me where everything is with the most army noticed at all where the most remain. Don't they stopped. Although I'm going to tell Pedro the hotel's address. Boy, this year, a petro like direccion de hotel boil Sierra Pedro la Direccion de l Hotel. Are you that of me? To show most Rod to show me most ratting me to show to as in to show something to somebody Most rare to tell me in this era Me now his a verb that we can use to start this less enough with Incontrera Incontrera it means to find Incontrera and it comes from the same place as the English word encounter. So if you think when you encounter something you find it in Contra in Spanish means to find So how would you ask? Can you tell me where I can find this hotel where they remain today? Puerto Incontrera is Theo tell where they will stand the sale may, don't they? Puerto Incontrera Este hotel Are you going to find a restaurant for later? But I am control wound. Cuomo aways Incontrera La comida Cuomo Anil Status Encontrado comida. We haven't found the hotel. No, everything can travel Hotel? No, I'm roasting from Travel Hotel now. Hopefully you never end up lost. But just in case you do this next word will be useful for telling people you're lost. Parodied. Oh, better view means lost parody though it comes from the Web pair in there which means to lose so in Spanish you can use the word paralegal to mean lost in most senses of the word. You can use it with estoy which means I am. And you get a stoy bear. Dido Estoy paralegal, Meaning I am lost. The feminine version is parody era. So if you're a woman, you can say estoy Bardina or you can use it with a meaning. I have a better Dedeaux Epper video means I have lost a perdido and a pair Video would never be a pair Dina. So you only use the feminine version off the word parody, though when it's an adjective, that means it has to be describing something. So in the first sentence estoy bear Dido is describing I I am lost. They start their video and so that one could be esto para diva if you're a woman. But a perdido means I have lost And in this sentence the word parodied Oh is a past participle And so it never changes So estoy para widow means I am lost a pair Dido I have lost 50. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49c: How would you say in Spanish? I am lost. A story parody though A story parody Low Are you lost a stopper? Diego Esau State Peccadillo. I have lost my card. A better view meter A bear did O meter. I have lost my call. A daredevil Mikati A better deal. McCourty, Have you lost something aspect of you know a little. I will stand parodied a while ago. Have a steady the wonderful I'm rustiness pared Del Olmo, What have you lost? Chaos Better Dedeaux. Okay, I will state their dio Que a base pair of you. Okay. And most areas Perdido. Now when you want to say that something is lost, you should use the word esta instead. Of s So they stopped there. Little means it is lost. Remember that you use esta for things that aren't permanent. Andi s for things that are permanent. So unless something is permanently lost, you should use esta a step a little. It is lost. So how would you say in Spanish? The car is lost. El Corte A stopper. Diego El Corte. A stop video. Or how would you say the key is lost on? Don't forget that the word for the key is feminine Lap Yami, so you'll have to use the feminine version off the adjective parody, though Lyari is Stop Lena Leovy, a stop Dina so bear diva because it's describing like Tommy, So perdida is the feminine version off the adjective Varadero. 51. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49d: see if you can work out how to say in Spanish. The keys are lost. Lastly obvious. Istanbul Alina's last year. The system. So in this sentence we have a plural noun on its feminine. So last. Yeah, vis. Which means we have to use the plural feminine version off the adjective that describes it . So parody low means lost and in the feminine plural we get pair Adidas and the word for our is a stun when it's a temporary thing. So last Travis is Stan Bear Dida's The keys are lost. How would you ask? When did you lose the key? Cuando a spirited Oh yeah, me Cuando our state perdido Lyari Cuando away spare deal Cuando and most especially, I lost Maria at the beach. And don't forget that whenever you have a name that is an object in a sentence in Spanish, you need to use the personal in front of the name. It barely go a Maria Allah! Playa a birdie! No! Maria! Allah! Playa! Excuse me. Can you help me? I'm lost. Caradon, where they are you that of me? A story? Paralegal Caradon where they will stay. I got out of me a story Paleo. So far in this lesson, we've learned the Web Incontrera, which means to find parody, low meaning, Lost a story better, you know, means I am lost and a pair Leo means I have lost this next word is a useful one. Comprendo, Comprendo. It means I understand Comprendo. I always think it so It looks like I comprehend on to comprehend something means to understand it. So Comprendo means I understand. So how would you say in Spanish? Yes, I understand. Si Comprendo. Si Comprendo. How would you say I understand it? Local Brando look calm, Brando. 52. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49e: How would you say it in Spanish? I understand. Spanish literally would say I understand this Spanish Comprendo. El espanol Comprendo a spaniel. I understand, but I don't want to do it. Comprendo, Fierro. Nokia, Acero Comprendo, Pinocchio, Acero I only San Diego. But not very well. Comprendo at Diego Better normally be in Comprendo. Ideo There are no more being so here. We've got the word in front of Diego because the name Diego is the object off this sentence . So he's a thing that's being understood. Calm Brendel at Yale on when the object of a sentence in Spanish is a person you have to use the personal confident not at the able SOCom Brenda means I understand. And the opposite of Comprendo is no Comprendo. No Comprendo means I don't understand no Comprendo. So how would you say I don't understand? Call us No Comprendo, Carlos. No Comprendo, Carlos. Excuse me. I don't understand better. Don. No Comprendo, Caradon, No Comprendo. I don't understand Spanish or literally. You have to stay in Spanish. I don't understand this Spanish. No Comprendo. A spaniel? No Comprendo. Every spaniel. I don't understand Spanish Very well. No Comprendo with a spaniel. movie in No Comprendo Espanol Moody in on in Spanish usually would say No Comprendo movie in El Espanol, literally meaning I don't understand very well the Spanish. So the word order can sometimes be a little bit different to English. In this sentence, we have an adverb bien or moody in meaning very well. And if you have a verb on an adverb, usually the adverb comes after the verb that is describing. So I don't understand very well. Spanish No Comprendo movie in El Espanol. So in English, we say, I don't understand Spanish very well, but usually in Spanish, you would put the word bien or movie in after the So No Comprendo is the verb no Comprendo movie in El Espanol. But if you said no Comprendo Espanol movie in that's perfectly fine to it's just more common to hear No comprende. A movie in Espanol 53. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49f: How would you say in Spanish? I don't understand, Theresa. No Comprendo at Theresa. No Comprendo at the rest Now remember how in the last lesson we learned that there are four different ways to say you have, as the auxiliary verb, perform in the past tense in Spanish. There was us who stayed are a race on do status on on the one that you use Depends on whether you're speaking to one person or more than one person. Oh, if you're speaking formally or informally well, there are also four different ways to say I understand you in Spanish. Take Comprendo. Comprendo is the informal, singular way off saying I understand you taken, friend, if you're being formal, you say, look on Brendel or lack Comprendo. You say law, if you're speaking to a man or a lot, if you're speaking to a woman so low Comprendo on black and brindle both me and I understand you. If you're speaking to one person, formerly us Compagnia most Comprendo is the informal pleura way off saying I understand you . So if you're speaking to more than one person on your being informal, you say office Comprendo and then loss and last Comprendo is the formal floral e. So lost if you're speaking to a group of men or group of men and women unless if you're speaking to a group of women so lost Comprendo or last comprende all is the formal plural way off saying I understand you. So there's the four different ways they Comprendo low Comprendo, Allah, Comprendo, most Comprendo and lost contender or last Comprendo. So how would you say in Spanish? Yes, I understand. You see the Comprendo, Cee Lo Comprendo, Orla Comprendo Si Comprendo. See? Lost Mom Brenda Last Comprendo. How would you say Yes, I understand. Do very well. See, they complain. The movie in Si Lok um Brenda Movie in or lack of Brando movie in si com Brando movie in See Lost Complained A 1,000,000 last Comprendo 1,000,000 I understand you, but not very well. They complain, though better known will be in look calm Brando Comprendo better No movie in Ascom Parental But on the movie in lost Comprendo Last Comprendo I don't know. Maybe in 54. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49g: We've seen the four different ways to say I understand you in Spanish. And if you just put no in front of all of them, then you get I don't understand you. So not a Comprendo, No local Brando or no lack of Brando, no los Comprendo and no lost conventional or no last Comprendo all mean I don't understand you. So not that Comprendo is the singular informal no law or lack on Brendle are the singular formal. No los Comprendo is the plural, informal and no lost Comprendo who know last Comprendo are the formal plural and they all mean I don't understand you. So how would you say in Spanish? Excuse me, but I don't understand. You barreled on, you know, Not a Comprendo peddled on. Pero no Comprendo or no Comprendo. Beldon, Bero north Comprendo. Better than better. Oh, no laws. Comprendo who know Last Comprendo. How would you say I don't understand you very well, Not the compendium will be in Nolo. Comprende? Um will be in on no la compendium. We in? No, it's Comprendo movie in no los Comprendo on no last complaint A movie in Here's another there that you can add to your ever growing collection. I'm glad Avelar means to speak a lot. So how would you say in Spanish using the formal, singular way of saying you I don't understand you. Can you speak in English, please? No Comprendo. Where they have learning less port aboard. So that was the masculine version on the feminine version is not a complaint? No. Where they have learning less portable. Or of course you could add, Will stay somewhere before or after pointy and say where they will stay. I'm louder in English for four more. How would you say I'm going to speak in Spanish today? Boy, I'm glad In Espanola. We boy a block in Espanola. We I would like to speak with Elena, please. Here you have a lot of corn. Chiaro Alarcon. Elena. 55. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49h: How would you say in Spanish? I spoke Spanish at the restaurant yesterday. They have a lot of spaniel. I'll restaurant they a year. A lot of espanol l A restaurant. They a year? Can you speak in Spanish? Please? Where they have learned in espanol por for more when they will stand a lot of en espanol For family, the next word is an adverb on usually in Spanish. Words that end in meant They will end in L Y in English. So let Damayanthi means slowly and so you can tell adverbs because in English they tend to end in the letters L y on did in Spanish. If a word ends in Mente, it's an adverb. Is the length aumento means slowly? How would you ask? Can you speak slowly? Where they have a lot of Linda Menti where they will stand Avelar Linda Mental What would be more slowly in Spanish? Must Lindemann must Linda Minty. So how would you say? Can you speak more slowly, Please? 20 of large must Linda Minty portable where they will stand. A lot of Muslims come into port. How would you say Excuse me? I don't understand. You can you speak more slowly, please? Using the singular form away Off saying you Caradon Nolo Comprendo where they will stay and have a lot of muscle. And, um, and a possible Baird on Noah Comprendo where they have a lot of mass. Lindemann deport. How would you say he spoke very slowly? I allow moral interment a lot of Milinda mental. 56. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49i: How would you say in Spanish? He didn't speak very slowly. No, I have Latham will interment? No, I have loved, I'm willing. Maria spoke very slowly and it was perfect for me. Maria, have love will interment ifwe perfect Obama Me, Maria Alvarado, Moral interment if we perfect about me. So in this lesson we've had the Web Incontrera meaning to find the word parody though which means lost a story there. Video means I am lost. And don't forget that if you're a woman speaking, you would say estoy Bernadina it there, Leo means I've lost Whether you're a man or a woman speaking Comprendo means I understand. On the negative is no Comprendo, which means I don't understand. You can say I understand you in many different ways and Spanish depending on whom you're speaking to. So if you're speaking to one person you know very well you say they Comprendo. If you're speaking to one person, you don't know very well. You can say either local Brendel if it's a man or lack on brindle if it's a woman, if you're speaking to more than one person, you know very well you can say us comprehensible If you're speaking to more than one person , you don't know very well, you can either say Lost Comp Rendall If it's a group of men or a group of men and women or last calm parental if it's a group of women. Similarly, in the negative, we have not a Comprendo, no la Comprendo. No luck on Brando. No US Comprendo, no lost Comprendo. Andi know last Comprendo, which all mean I don't understand you. Then we have the Web Avelar, which means to speak on. Then the word length a mente means slowly on. I said that all words in Spanish that end in the letters M E N T e pronounced meant they are adverbs in a similar way to words ending an L Y in English. So Lindemann Day is slowly 57. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49j: it's time now to practice what has been learning in this lesson Have you say in Spanish? I can't find the key. No Puedo Incontrera IAVI No puedo Incontrera lobby. Can you help me? I'm lost Where they are You doubting me? A stripper deedle where they will stay? Are you that of me? A state that you know? I've lost everything. A parody Low A pair of ill Toto, I don't understand Sophia. No Comprendo as Sophia. No Comprendo as Sophia. Can you find Maria? Where they Incontrera Maria where they will stay. Incontrera Maria! I'm going to speak with Mr Lopez tomorrow, Boy. Avelar continue. Or Lopez? Manana boy, A lot of concern. Your Lopez manana. How would you ask? Can you speak slowly? I don't understand you using the singular formal way of saying you where they have little interment. No Comprendo. Where they have a lot of Linda Minty. No la Comprendo. It's lost. It's stop at a beetle. A stop! Better deal. And if you're talking about a feminine noun being lost, then you would say a stop pair, Dina. So if you're referring to a car, for example, which is masculine, you could say they stopped at a little. But if you referring to the key which is feminine, you would say Stop Bardina. How would you say Pedro is lost? Pedro a stopper. Dido Pedro is Stop the video. I lost the car yesterday. A better deal and coach a year, a better deal and coach a year. 58. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49k: Now let's do some reverse translations. One of these Spanish sentences mean in English. But our Gladys by noon Bow State of Lars von Neumann are you going to speak Spanish? Is there a story in front Kitona e A pair Deal me support a year has to be in front here. Ola e a paralegal support. Yesterday I was in Fuengirola and I lost my passport bearing on 20. Are you not me? A pair of delinquency Beldon, where they will stand? I would add me a parody. Micoach! Excuse me, Can you help me? I've lost my car. No puedo encontrar a Maria No Puedo Incontrera Maria, I can't find Maria. A specific Perot state of lard. Lindholm in a poor family is Priscilla Perot State Avelar Lindemann the poor for more. Is it possible for you to speak slowly, please? A parody delayed Rexona hotel with the most remedial Mr A Fair Deal. Oh, la Direccion de l hotel. Where they most army. Don't they stop? I've lost the hotel's address. Can you show me where it is? We know a lot of where there are a lot of corn instead. Can I speak with you? A spouse that their video a style state fair deal Are you lost? Comprendo? Moocher? There are not oil Comprende? A mutual but not all. I understand a lot but not everything Where they Incontrera Thomas a parasitical personas where they will stayed Incontrera When a mix up at a single person us can you find a table for five people? 59. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49l: Now let's do some recap translations to incorporate words and phrases that we learned in previous lessons. How do you say in Spanish? I would like a table for four. Please. Kierra when I miss a para Quattroporte Kierra When I mess up at a Quattroporte How much is it for six days? Cuentos Poor sales Diaz Quando is poor sales Diaz. It's 30 euros per month. Is Trenta a euros for miss A strength? I euros. Promise it's 80 orders is a gente a euros is a gente euros. How much is it for four days? Quando is poor collateral. Yes Kwan Toys por Quatro Dia's I think it's fantastic para me is fantastical but I mean it's fantastical. It isn't good. Oh, everything is here Dollar a stocky, totally stocky How much is it for two days? Quanta Westport Los dias. Quanto os por los dias. Excuse me? The bill, please. Buried on la cuenta por favor. Better gone. La cuenta por for border 60. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 49m: Now let's do some Spanish to English recapitalizations. One of these Spanish sentences mean in English noise. Bakaye is Jeremy noise. Petralia, It's part of me. It isn't for her. It's for me. Kierra, When I mess up a dress personas poor family. You know when I messed up but a tourist personas poor family id like a table for three people. Please Si es para mi gaseous C s para me. Gracias. Yes, it's for me. Thank you. Norris Fantastico. Pero is more bueno noise Fantastical Bero is moving. It isn't fantastic but it's very good. Cafe para me cafe para me a coffee for me Me Bhaiya is perfect. Me Bhaiyya is perfect. My pi other is perfect. He had a provider El Reno put he had a provided vino por favor. I'd like to try the wine please. Is Otto cientos a euros? Is Otto cientos a euros? It's 100 euros. Esa is me Pizza size me pizza. That's my pizza. We don't provide it for your poor for more where the probe are Help o your part? Can I try the chicken, please? 61. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50a: Let's start this lesson with a quick recap off the words and phrases that we learned in the last lesson. How do you say in Spanish to find Incontrera lost? Parodied? Oh, I am lost A stipend, Little I've lost a better deal. I understand Comprendo. I don't understand no Comprendo. I understand you. They Comprendo. Oh, look on Brenda. Lack of Brenda Oska. Brenda lost Comprendo or last Comprendo. I don't understand you. Not a Comprendo. No Comprendo, No Comprendo. No, I was calm. Brenda. No lost comm panel. No last complaining to speak. I'm loud and slowly. Lindemann, Here's your first word for this lesson. See, se, it means I know. See, you can use the word se by itself just to mean I know, But you can also use it to mean. I know how. For example, say a bladder espanol se habla espanol. It means I know how to speak Spanish. You don't need to use the word how in Spanish because the words say can be followed by any Vertu mean I know how to do something. So say Atlantis FunnyOrDie or say a fairly say a fairly low. I know how to do it say a fair alot. So in Spanish you don't need to use the word for how, in this sort of a situation, you simply say, say, and put a veil on the end. Another point to note is that the Spanish would never say I can speak Spanish or I can speak English using puerile instead of saying I can. They would always use I know how, using Say so instead of saying we're Though I've learned in bliss, they would say, Say a lot of Inglis or save learning less. Yes, Banyan, Which means I can speak English and Spanish. But literally it means I know how to speak English and Spanish se Avelar Inglis Espanol. So how would you say I know how to speak Spanish? Say I've Larry spaniel se Avelar espanol So you don't need to say the word for how in this situation you just say literally. I know to speak Spanish, Say I love Espanol 62. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50b: How would you say in Spanish? I can speak Spanish. Se of lattice Fanuel say a lot of espanol so literally It means I know how to speak Spanish . How would you say I know what time dinner is? Say okay. All right. Se que order is la cena salutary You say here I know At what time is the dinner se que aura ? It's Lassana. How would you say? I know where Said on the Se Na? Only you can make set negative by putting not in front of it. No se, no si means I don't know in Spanish. No, See. So how would you say? I don't know how to speak French? No se a lot out front. This mostly of large front days. So again, you don't need to say the word for how So you have to say I don't know how you just say I don't know to speak French Nazi A bladder from this? Because the phrase not say you can translate into English either, as I don't know or I don't know how. How would you say I can't speak Italian, but I can speak Spanish? No se of large Italian bero say of lattice manual? No se have lot of Italian Better say a block espanol. I don't know where I can buy a map. No se puede comprar on map. No said on it whether Compare one map. I don't know where I ate yesterday, but the food was delicious. No se and only a committee over a year. Pero la comida with Costa No se don't a committed by air, Pero la comida. 63. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50c: How would you say in Spanish? I don't know where I can find something for bedroom. No se only play the one contra algo Pedro. No. Send on the equator. Incontrera algo para Pedro. I don't know where I am. No se, no less story. No said on a story. I don't know where he is. No se donde esta? Or you can put l in this sentence to make it clear because no set and only a stack can mean I don't know where he is. I don't know where she is or I don't know where it is. So if you say no, say lonely l s that or not, say no less. That will then just makes it clear that you're speaking about he How would you say? I don't know where you are Most say lonely esta or you can put a stent to make it clearer. No se don't established there. I don't know where I'm going on for this sentence because you're saying going you should use add only instead of just Donley. Because in Spanish, whenever you say going, you always have to have going to so to incorporate the two you say adult in the no se. I don't name away no se. I'd on the boy. So literally it means I don't know to where I'm going. How would you say? I don't know where you're going? No se along the way. No. Say that on the morrow. Still, I don't know no se, no se A lot of the time in Spanish, you'll hear people say, rather than just see on Nazi by themselves you're here lossy Andi Nalo See which literally means I know it. Andi, I don't know it. This might sound a little bit strange in English, but in Spanish, it's because you always have to have something with, say or not, say. And so if there's nothing to add, then what they tend to add is just no meaning it. So you'll hear more often lossy rather than just say lossy means. I know literally I know it, Andi. Similarly, you'll hear more often not Aussie than Nazi. So no loss see, literally means I don't know it, but it's used to mean I don't know. So if you want to say I don't know, even though no say is correct, your sound more Spanish. If you say no, stay 64. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50d: Here's your next phrase for this lesson savvy who stayed savvy. It means, Do you know or do you know how you said savvy? So how would you ask? Do you know how to speak English? Savvy of leading less? Who said Savvy of lard in lace? Do you know where the bank is? Savage On the style. Banco who said Savvy Nana style Banco, We've seen this type of sentence quite a lot. Now where in English The word is is on the end on in Spanish. I've said that you should say, Where is the back rather than where the bank is So in this sentence, Do you know where the bank is? In Spanish, you say? Do you know where is the bank instead? Sorry, Nana Salve Ankle. If you were to translate it literally word for word from English. You would say savvy, donde el Banco esta. And if you said this, you would be understood. But it sounds a bit strange to Spanish years. So instead of saying Sorry, Don Delbanco a star in Spanish you to say savvy donde esta el banco to mean? Do you know where the bank is literally. Do you know where is the bank? So there is in this sort of a question goes in front of the place, for example, savvy. Don't they start a restaurant? Which means Do you know where the restaurant is? Literally. Do you know where is the restaurant? And actually, even though the Spanish way just sound a little bit strange? It's English that has made it. The strange rule of putting is to the end of a sentence. Let's have a look at it a bit more closely in the question. Where is the restaurant? Theis comes in front of the place. Where is the restaurant? Which in Spanish is donned a esta el restaurante No, en esta el restaurante. But in English, the whole sentence changes as soon as you put anything in front of this question. So if you say, do you know, you don't say? Do you know where is the restaurant? You have to say, Do you know where the restaurant is? So the word is goes to the end of the sentence in Spanish. You can put anything in front off donde esta el restaurante Andi, It remains unchanged. So just because you put savvy at the start. The rest of sentence doesn't change. Savvy, longest Our sovereignty. So how would you say in Spanish? Do you know where Alejandro is? Savvy. Don't stop Alejandro. Sarah instead. Don esta Alejandro. 65. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50e: How would you ask? In Spanish. Do you know where the restaurant is? Savvy? No, Nesta in restaurant who stayed savage when they start a restaurant. Let's add another phrase to this lesson, Lucienne Lossy. And it means I'm sorry. Lossy. And so how would you say I'm sorry, but it's terrible. Lo siento Bero este Really lo siento. Pero it's there. Really? I'm sorry, but I don't know, lost the end but they don't know, say lossy and book. I don't know. See or don't forget that you can say instead of no say no lost. So lo siento better not see. I'm sorry, but I haven't made a reservation. Lo siento Benno no honours Enova. Lo siento. Pero no, I'm sorry, but I'm lost. Lo siento Bero estate Our deal lo siento There are estoy parodied. Oh, I am very sorry, but I don't understand you. Can you speak more slowly, please, And use the singular formal version of you Lo siento, pero no Comprendo where they will stay a lot of muscle endowment. Los siento better. Oh, no Comprendo. When you said a lot of Muslims, I'm sorry, but it isn't possible. Lo siento better knows possibly lo siento paranoids. Possibly There are actually a couple of ways to say sorry in Spanish. The second way is this School bay. Andi, the school pay can mean sorry or excuse me in the school play. So using the singular former way off saying you How would you say in Spanish? Sorry, I don't understand you. Lo siento No Comprendo. Noah Comprendo in the school play no Comprendo, only school pay, no Comprendo. 66. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50f: How do you say in Spanish? Sorry, you can either say lo siento. Oh, this could pay. So in this lesson, we've had say, which means I know, Or it can mean I know how. If you put a verb on the end of it, for example, say a lot of espanol se of lattice Faneuil. Literally, This means I know how to speak Spanish. But you can also use the phrase say Avelar to mean I can speak. So say Atlantis. Banyan could mean I know how to speak Spanish or I can speak Spanish. No se, no city means I don't know or I don't know how. And again you can put any vote on the end of Nazi on. I said that in Spanish, rather than just not say you'll hear quite a lot of people saying no lossy. So if you use no se by itself, it's better to say no lost ing, which literally means I don't know it. The same goes with the word say so rather than just sit by itself to mean. I know the Spanish often put lot in front of it. Lossy means. I know literally I know it. Then you stayed savvy. Well, state. Sorry means do you know lo siento means I'm sorry. On another way to say I'm sorry. Is this good bay this school bay, which also means Excuse me. 67. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50g: it's time now to practice what we've lived in this lesson. How would you say in Spanish? I can't speak Spanish. No se of lattice Fanuel No se habla espanol. I'm sorry, but I haven't made a reservation. Lo siento No no honours era Lo siento car on the way to ourselves. Do you know where I can hire a car? Sorry, I don't know whether I'll get out on court. Who said something like weather while Philadanco Do you know where I can buy him up? Sam it on a plate Who stayed sauvignon a Puerto? Compare our own map. How would you say? Using the informal, singular way of saying you? Sorry, I don't understand you lo siento nothing. Comprendo lo siento nothing. Comprendo I'm sorry, but it's absolutely terrible here. La ciento uno is absolute lamented They're really lucky. Lo siento Bero is absolute lamented they reveal a key. I don't know where we hired the car. No se don't the MSL collateral quot no se non gmo Sal Collateral coaching. Do you know if it's possible for me to pay here? Sorry CS Possibly para me. Paige Araki Samuel State CS Post Rocky, do you know what time The breakfast is at the hotel. Sammy. Okay. What? I said this. I don't know. I don't think Samuel stain a k order. Sorry. Lo siento the school pay. 68. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50h: Now let's have a go at doing some reverse translations. What do these Spanish sentences mean in English? See Acero se acero. I know how to do it. Say a lot. Espanol. The front office se Avelar is final. Different is I can speak Spanish and English. No se. I don't Anyway, no se I don't have a way. I don't know where I'm going. Lo siento there. Oh, no Said on the estar lo siento there. Oh, no. Send on the rest. Ousted. I'm sorry, but I don't know where you are. Sorry I'm late, Inglis Savvy instead of letting bliss can you speak English? Sorry, Bonnie. Start in restaurant. Sorry All ST Dhoni esta el restaurante. Do you know where the restaurant is? Lo siento Varanasi. Lo siento bero Nazi. I'm sorry, but I don't know Lo siento. Pero esto para dino Lossy MPA Better way Story parodied. Oh, I'm sorry, but I'm lost. Se Avelar on poco espanol. Save lar in Boco There spaniel. I can speak a bit of Spanish. Lo siento, Pero no Puerto. Are you that lo siento? Pero no Puerto, are you? I'm sorry, but I can't help 69. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 50i: Now let's do some recap. Translations to incorporate words and phrases that we learned in previous essence. How do you say in Spanish? Do you have this in brown DNEs, boy Marone the nes pas in Meron Turn left after the traffic lights here. A ally scared that this place deal Osama for us. Pamela's Chiaro wannabe Datsun commas Pamela's I would like a room with twin beds 71. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 51a: Let's start this lesson with a quick recap off the words and phrases that we learned in the last lesson. How do you say in Spanish? I know. Oh, I know how. See, I can speak Spanish. Se um Lar Espanol. I don't know or I don't know how. No, si, I don't know. No, no. See, I know Glossy. Do you know who stayed? Sammy. I'm sorry, Law. Siento sorry or excuse me the school day. Now, can you remember that a few lessons ago I introduced you to the first structure in Spanish . It was a structure that enabled you to ask questions. Well, we can use the first structure in a non question format to, but let's start with a quick recap off the first structure in the question. Form it in Spanish structure one in the question format consists off just three parts. For example, Chiari Comeere means what do you want to eat? It's made up of the question word K, which means what the infinitive carrier key, every meeting do you want and then the infinitive on the end. Comair, which means to eat, remember that I also said that we can add the optional fourth part to the extra information on Get a sentence such as KQED comeere estan naughty meaning? What do you want to eat tonight? To use this structure when you're not asking a question is really quite simple. You just take the question marks away and remove the question. We're from the front. Let me show you what I mean. Let's compare a question on a non question in the structure one former. So as a question, we have kept welcome here. Get with a commander means what can I eat? Whether word puedo means can I in a question in a non question puerile means I can. So Pueblo is I can we can put an inventive on the end on Get whether Comair meaning I can eat puedo comeere master means I can eat later Puerto Camaro master so that we're Pueblo means can I when it's in a question on die can when it's in a non question and you can put any infinitive on the end of it, 72. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 51b: So in a question, Pueblo means can I? But then in a non question pueblo means I can. It doesn't change and you can put any infinitive on the end of where Puerto. Come here. I can eat Puello Very a Pedro. I can see Pedro Puerto Year manana. I could go tomorrow. So many question Puerto means can I in a non question Puerto means I can on in English You have to switch the words round. So can I. The eye goes in front when it's a long question, I can. But because in Spanish is only one word anyway, you just leave as idiots. So here are two lists. Firstly are the infinitive carriers as you've already learned them and then I've put them with their meanings as a non question in Spanish. They don't change it all in English. They change. So we've had in question format Pueblo, Can I where they can You key Eddie, Do you want that? Uh, are you going? Damn. Do I have to? Almost I and they're me. Do you have to almost you as non questions. These become pueblo. I can really you can key Eddie. You want that uh, you are going DeBell. I have to or I most and there be you have to or you most. So it's harder in Spanish to tell the difference between a question on D A non question. So, for example, Puerto Comeere can mean I can eat or can I eat? And that's why in Spanish you have to use your voice a lot more to denote what a question is. So Puerto Comeere means I can eat. But where the come here means can I eat? So if you raise your voice at the end, you couldn't tell that it's a question a lot more easily come here. Similarly, you put a question mark at the start of a question in Spanish and at the end. And that's one of the reasons. Why is that? You can tell that it's a question from the very beginning. Now I'm going to give you a couple of extra words that you can use in non questions. Key Adul Key Edl means I want Kierra and voya. Voya means I'm going voya. So those are two more infinitive carriers that you can use as non questions. So how would you say in Spanish you can buy something here for Pedro puede comprar algo keep parapet 20 comprar algo aqui para bedroom 73. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 51c: you can buy it later. Where the Comparative Loma started. A where? The complete Aloma study. I can see it. 12 0 Vero, With all that room, I can buy something here. Weather compared Al Wacky Puerto comprado wacky. You can buy something at the supermarket 20 Complete Algo al supermercados where they complied out of our lives Together I can buy some cheese. Puerto Qambar case weather compact guests. I can buy something for my mom here Puerto Comprar algo me Mata Ki comprar algo Parliament Iraqi. You're going to be tired tomorrow Vice Stark and Solomonyan Vice start Can Solomon Yana. For example, where the premier hockey you can eat here so poorly is an infinitive carrier Premier is an infinitive, and then AKI is just some extra information on the end. 77. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52a: Let's start this lesson with a quick recap off the words and phrases that we learned in the last lesson. How do you say in Spanish? I can. Well, you can. 20. You want ki 80? I want que You're going, Matt. I'm going, Moya. I have to where I'm most them you have to or you most many. Now we've already had this next word crowbar. Crowbar means to try robot. And we've seen that you can use for a bar with any food or drink to say what you would like to try on. And you can also use it to say what you want to try on when you're talking about clothes. However, what if you want to say I want to try to speak Spanish, for example? Well, when you want to say to try to do something, there is a different word for try in Spanish on that is in thin in 10. The verb in dente means to try to Andi. It's used when you're attempting or intending to do something. For example, boy, I intent are of lattice. Banyan boy intent on a lot of spending means I'm going to try to speak Spanish So I'm going to attempt to speak Spanish Boy, invent our Avelar Espanol. Devaux intent are Incontrera Maria There were intent Are Incontrera Ameriyah? I have to try to find Maria So intent are in contra means to try to find on We put the word in front of Maria here because it's a personal Maria is the object in this sentence on its A person So we put up in front of her search history its rate invent our means to try as in to try to do something So how would you say in Spanish? I have to try to speak Spanish They were intent Are Avlon spaniel? Nay Bro Intent are Avelar Espanol Are you going to try to speak Spanish? But I think that a lot of spin on Mao stated intent are of Larry spaniel. 78. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52b: How would you say in Spanish? I want to try to call Maria Chiaro intent. Are Ja'Mar Maria here? Winton Taro Yamada Maria So after intent are you can use the whole rib. So that's why we can say intent are yam are to try to call Chiaro Intent are Yama Amariyah You must try to be here tomorrow. They intent are estar aqui. Manana David in Denton are estar aqui manana. I'm going to try to be here tomorrow. Boy, I intend are estar aqui manana boy, I intend are estar aqui manana. What are you going to try to do? Gay va intent on a sale? Okay, you stayed behind that are a sale. And as I've said before, the word will step is optional because Mara can mean Are you going to? Is he going to or is she going to? And so the word Volstead just clarifies that you mean are you going to and even vote Volstead pretty much anywhere in the sentence So you can say will step give find in Dallas here. Oh, Gale ST Byington Tallas. We can even put it on the end of the sentence. Gay Byington, Tara Several state now in the past tense, you can change Prabha to a pro battle. A Provo means I have tried. When you're talking about trying food or drink or trying on clothes in a similar way, you can change intent are to a intent a invent. Thou means I have tried to, as in I have attempted to do something. And so just like before, you can put any verb on the end of a indent battle to say what you have tried to do. So how would you say in Spanish? I have tried to speak Spanish intent how have landed spaniel in the battle of Larry spaniel ? 79. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52c: How would you say? In Spanish, I tried to call Maria Intento Ja'Mar amaria eight in 10. Takayama Amariyah. I tried the cheese. A privado El eso a probe. Otto guests So in this one because it's talking about trying food. Then we use probe. April bottle, it gets Have you tried the wine for? By the right of you, I will state Pramod o l mean well, don't forget that we now know that there are four different ways to say. Have you done something in Spanish? So our instead Probable vino is just one. If you want to be more informal and you're speaking to one person, you would say ask bravado every no as probable vino or if you speaking to more than one person and you're being informal, you would say a race bravado, elven. I always bravado Vivino, which is sort of like the equivalent to the English. Have you all tried the wine? Or if you're being more formal and you're speaking to a group of people, then you would say on bravado El vino or on loose? Terry's bravado elven on Goose Terrace is the same as well, Steve, in that you can pretty much put it anywhere in the sentence so you could say all status on probably being all status. So you comport the all status anywhere because it's just a clarify here to make sure that the person you're speaking to knows that you're speaking about you and not they. Because don't forget that un could mean they have as well as you have. How would you say in Spanish? I have tried to speak Spanish, but it's too difficult a in 10 taro plant espanol Pero is an demasiado the feces a intent Tallulah Bland espanol Pero s demasiado the fee c I tried the wine a pro bajo el vino April I tried to find it in Kentaro Incontrera intento Incontrera. 80. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52d: How would you say in Spanish? I tried to make a reservation, but the restaurant is too busy in vindaloo. Affair Barrel Restaurant is the local in the cinema, you know, a restaurant. So in this lesson, so far we've had paraiba, which means to try as in to try food or drink or to try some clothes on. Then we had intent are which is the other way of saying to try in Spanish on this word is used when you're saying to try to do something as in to attempt to do something in the past , we get April a bottle from the Web crowbar, which means I tried as an I tried some food or drink or some clothes on on. Then a intent battle means I've tried with the verb intent there. So I tried to do something, and you can put any verb on the end off a intent double. The next phrase is a useful one. Low April bottom fluid pro bottle means I have tried it literally. It means it. I have tried because the word law means it, and then a privado. I have tried low April and you wouldn't use law intent travel because you need to use a verb after intent there. So whenever you say I have tried it, then you will say no, April. So how would you say in Spanish? Yes, I've tried it. See Louis Provo. Cee Lo. A program? Literally. It means, yes, it I have tried low April. We can make no a provider negative. Simply by voting. No, in front of it. So Nalo April No, lo a bravado means I haven't tried it. No paper about. So how would you say in Spanish? No, I haven't tried it. No, No. A program? No, no apropo. So the word law means it on. And remember how you comport law in front of a web to mean it. For example, law Comprendo. Lo Comprendo means I understand it. Or Loki L Loki. L. I wanted a lot. Tango. No tengo means I have it. And then we also learned that if you have an infinitive, which is the whole form of the word that ends in e. R. A. R or I r. Then you can attach the word law to the end of it, so you can join it to the R on the end of the infinitive. For example. Chiaro Acero Chiaro Acerra low. So the law is on the end of a sale, Meaning I want to do it Key ero acero boy A compatible boy Comprado means I'm going to buy it. Boy Comprado chiari Camaro. Get a Camaro means do you want to eat it? Chiari Camaro. Well, if you're talking in the past tense, you always have to put the word law in front. Off the auxiliary. There, for example. Low h low. H o means I have done it literally it. I have done low h o I have eaten. It would be like amigo No, a communal it. I have eaten low income. You. If you have the word or step in there, for example, then the word lots still has to come in front of the auxiliary verbs they can't put instead in between law and the auxiliary verb, the word law always has to come directly in front of the older reverb. So have you eaten? It would be a boost. A la comida who stand lower communal. But you comport instead at the end of a sentence. Local media instead, la comida. But you can't put it in between the law and there. So the law are always has to be together. Will. Steadily, la comida means Have you eaten it similarly with L or area or even know in the negative? They can't come in between the law and the observer web, for example, Area loop ago. A el abogado means she paid it well. She has paid it. So how would you say in Spanish? I ate it? No. A communal, no hay camino. 81. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52e: How would you say in Spanish? I have eaten it. No. A communal. No, A communal. So we've seen that in English. There are usually two ways to talk about the same thing as we do in Spanish. So law, a committal in Spanish can mean I have eaten it or I ate it. So there are two ways in English for one way. In Spanish law. A communal. How would you say in Spanish? I didn't eat it. No hay Camino? No, no Hay Camino. So don't forget that when you're speaking in the negative. There were no has to come in front. Off the law. If you're saying it so Nala way. Camilo, you can't put no in between the law and the ace. They can't say lot. No, A Camino. You have to say not awake. Um, you know I didn't eat it. How would you say in Spanish? I haven't eaten it. No, no. A communal. No way. Kamu. So it's the same way of saying I didn't eat it. So again, this is an example. Where in English there are two ways to say something. Where it in Spanish is just the one so not awake. Amedo can be translated into English as I haven't eaten it. Or I didn't eat it. How would you say in Spanish? Have you eaten it? Well, depending on who you're speaking to, you can use Law asked me, though. Who said Camilo, No, I base Camino or status Low and communal. That's the singular informal. Luis Camilo. The singular formal will stay calm. You know the plural informal Luiz calm you on the plural formal. Who's Davis Lohan Communal. How would you say in Spanish? He didn't eat it. No, Camilo. L know a communal. So the is optional just as a clarify. So you can put the l at the beginning or the end? L non committal. No la comedia in that The Nala has to stay in that order. How would you say they ate it? Lo and calm you. No income. You 82. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52f: How would you say in Spanish? We didn't eat it? No. No. A most community? No, A most. Camilo. So we've seen now that the word law means it. Andi, in Spanish, you can place it in front of a verb or on the end of an infinitive. But the word law can also mean him. So a lot can mean it or him. Which means sentences like this. No, a beast. Oh, no. Every stone can actually mean two things. I have seen it or I have seen him. Lawyer restore. Never in control, never in contract. Well, this could mean I have to find it, or I have to find him. Look on Brando lo Comprendo. I understand it. Oh, I understand him. The situation that you're speaking and we'll tell you whether it means it or him. So very Ray, Does this get mixed up? So loyally Store Deborah Incontrera. Low, low Comprendo. The law can mean it. Or him in a similar way. If you want to say her instead of him or it, then you simply port laugh in front of the web instead of law or on the end of the infinitive. So the sentence boy Vera Boy Averella means I'm going to see her boy of Ebola or because in Spanish, don't forget that all now downs are masculine or feminine, which means that in Spanish, we refer to now owns as him or her. So this sentence boy Arbella means I'm going to see her. But it can also be used to be talking about a feminine noun. So boy Obeidallah could mean I'm going to see it if you're referring to something feminine , for example, LaGrassa which means the house. So if you're talking about LaGrassa, I'm going to see it, meaning the house. Then you would also say, Boy Vera, if it was a masculine now, like El Corte, that's when it will be law. So El Corte de is masculine, meeting the car and refer to that as him in Spanish. The boy a bear law means I'm going to see it, meaning the car Tierro Birla Kierra Berra means I want to see her or I want to see it when you're talking about a feminine noun. Lacombe Brando la Comprendo. This means I understand her. How would you say in Spanish? I saw him yesterday. No, a visto here, Lloyd Visto A year I saw her yesterday. A lot A visto a year La visto air. I found him here low in contrast, O aqui lo encontrado aqui. 83. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52g: How would you say in Spanish? I found her here. La Incontrera Baki la a encontrado aqui. This literally means her. I found here La Incontrera. Rocky, How would you say I understand him? Local Brenda Lo Comprendo. I understand her lack of Brenda like on Brando. I understand it. Look calm pain, though. No Comprendo. I don't understand it. No la Comprendo. No lo Comprendo. I'm going to see him, boy. A very low boy. America. I'm not going to see it. No, but I don't know number we have ever know. I didn't buy it. Not awaken Problem. No way comparable. I'm going to see her boy. Avella boy. Abella. So in this lesson, we've had the Web crowbar meaning to try in the entire means to try to do something. April bottle is the past tense off Paraiba. And so this means I tried. And then toddle means I tried to do something so we can put any web on the end off a intent battle to say what it is that you try to do. Lloyd Bravado. I tried it. No, a probable. I haven't tried it. Why? Didn't try it? Merlo means to see him Maryland to see her. And in the past we have no e v store meaning? I saw him. Onda lie visto I still here. 84. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52h: it's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. How do you say in Spanish? Are you going to try to make a reservation by intent? Are assert not etcetera Mao still intent Are Asser etcetera? I have to try to find the passports. Their intent Are Incontrera lost support this? Never intent Are Incontrera lost support this? I tried it but it wasn't very good. Low April bottle They don't know frame with women Lo a program they know no frame with women I didn't try it. No way Provide Nalo April bottom I tried to call Maria yesterday in indo Ja'Mar Maria A year A in dental Oyamada Maria a year. When are you going to see it? Cuando my very low Cuando bow stayed a very low. I saw her yesterday in Madrid Visto here in Madrid. Lavy story here in Madrid. Did you try the cheese? I will state provided I guess so. I will stay bravado. Lk so Or of course, you could use the other over the river Boobs ass a race or animal status. How would you say I've done it now? Lloyd? Toyota Lo A two hour. They didn't buy it. No one company? No, I'm compatible 85. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52i: Now let's do some reverse translations. What are these Spanish sentences mean in English? Kiev Soberano Chiaro Barrow. I want to see it. Or of course, it could also mean I want to see him. Lacombe Brando lack on Brando. I understand her. A bear. Dino Me Quota year, Errol. Louis encontrado a pair D'Amico chair barrel encontrado We I lost my car yesterday, but I found it today. Look calm, Brenda. Local Brando. I understand it. Who? I understand him. Amos in Tendo PD A real demon espanol. Better for intimacy. Aladi physician A most intent Otto Burial Venus Pinyon Paraphrase Maciel. Beefy scene. We try to order the wine in Spanish. But it was too difficult. No, April Balbina. No, I privado el vino. I didn't try the wine. Never in control. They were in contractual. I have to find it or I have to find him. No, I must come. You? No, I must communal. We didn't eat it. No. A trade open hosted Lo a Trillo barrow. Still I brought it for you. Uh intento algo Incontrera. Pablo, you stay intento Incontrera a Pablo. Did you try to find Pablo 86. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52j: Now let's do some recap. Translations to incorporate words and phrases that we learned in previous lessons. How would you say in Spanish? She isn't tired? Yeah, noise that can saddle a in the west. That cancer. Do you have a table for two people? Danny, when I makes a part of those personas the and, you know, messed up on us. The reservation is at half past five. Lara Serra is a last cinco in media Lavera Serra is a las cinco in media. How much is it for six days? Quandaries process Diaz quando is poor sales Diaz, I would like some butter Tierro man Takiya Chiaro man takiya I'm going to Teresa's house Later Moyal a casa del sistema started the boy Alla Casa De Theresa My strategy. Do you want to change it? Gary can be Arlo. Gary will stick Doumbia. Hello. I want to see Mr Rueda Chiaro. Mayor I said your weather. Chiana Where a say in your area for lunch. I would like an empanada Para Ellen were so Chiaro when I'm another Barbara Ellen were so Caro una empanada. I like the red coat, but I prefer it in blue. Maybe you start a LaBrie Garafalo Bennell Opera Fiero in a school. May Busta elaborate or offer peril. Oprah Fiero in a school. 87. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 52k: And now let's do some Spanish to English Recap. Translations. What do these Spanish? And this is mean in English. Eso is Nemesio grand Me Sus the grand. That's too big for me. No boil. Apply our Beloki. Don't hear my status. No, boy. Allah! Playa Beloki. And we're must Saturday. I'm not going to the beach now. But I would like to go later. Wallace last sopa. What is La Sopa? What is the soup? L a star Hotel El. Is that a lapel? He's at the hotel. Got my starts there. Come, let's start there. How are you noise? Stocky estar i e No ice hockey Estar e It isn't here. It's there. La lucha No funciona Ledoux chat. No funciona. The shower doesn't work. See my about still on a man Yana, See, boy, about Kelowna Man Yana? Yes? I'm going to Barcelona tomorrow. Hola. Hola. Hello. Non esta lives. That's the only train. Only a stylus Nasty on the train. Where is the train station? 88. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53a: Let's start this lesson with a rapid recap. Actually with recap in Spanish is resuming. So you'll say very soon. Rest human rapido, meaning a quick recap. So let's start this lesson with a restroom in Rapinoe Off the words and phrases that we learned in the last lesson. How do you say in Spanish to try robot to try to do something? Intent are I've tried April bottle I tried to a in thin How I tried it Lo a pro battle I haven't tried it. No, the way program to see him Bear low to see her Maryland I saw him no e v store. I saw her La Avis For now, here's your first phrase for this lesson in Spanish. Not podia no podia It means I couldn't no podia And you can put any infinitive on the end off. Not Badia. So it's classed as an infinitive carrier. So how would you say in Spanish? I couldn't do it Nobody affair low no podia affair low Well, how would you say I couldn't find him? No podia Incontrera low no podia Incontrera low. I couldn't see Maria no podia bear a Maria no podia bear a Maria. So don't forget that we need to put the personal in front of the name Maria because Maria is referring to a person. So nobody up. Bear up. Maria. How would you say I couldn't buy it? Because it was too expensive? No podia comprado pork, a free demasiado Caro Nobody a compatible pork, a foreign demasiado Caro. And so in this sentence because we've got comprar low and Caro, then we can presume it's a muscle in Now. If you were referring to a feminine noun such as a house, for example which is in a cast, then you would have to make everything feminine, so it will be no podia Comrade Lola. 89. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53b: so nobody yah meant I couldn't. Well, this next word is another infinitive carrier Correa Kedia It means I wanted We've already seen key ero which means I want And this is the past version off that so Correa I wanted on again You can put any infinitive onto the end of this So how would you say I wanted to go que area here? Correa here I wanted to try to find Diego Correa intent are Incontrera Audio Correa in tendering Contra Diego So we use intent are because we're referring to trying to do something on day after intent are we can put another web So Correa intent are in Contra I wanted to try to find on Then in front of Diego we put the personal Correa intent Are Incontrera ideal? I wanted to go to the beach but I couldn't find it. Correa Year Al apply better No podia Incontrera Correa here a la playa Pero no podia Incontrera. And so in this sentence Just note that I've said Incontrera because the beach La playa is feminine So literally in Spanish. The sentences I wanted to go to the beach but I couldn't find her on the word her is referring to the beach. So Correa here. Allah, Playa Bero. Nobody a Incontrera. I wanted to hire a car, but it was too expensive. Correa Al Gillen Corti Little freedom Asiago cattle Correa calcula on court I wanted to buy something for my moment but I couldn't find the souvenir shop. Kerry a comprar algo But I mean Mallory. Pero no podia Incontrera tienda they require lose Gary a comprar algo party Mallory Barrow No podia in contract at the end of their required those. So the souvenir shop literally in Spanish is the shop off Souvenirs lack Tienda is the shop on Let the end that they required us the shop off souvenirs or the souvenir shop. 90. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53c: we had a stubble in one of the last lessons. Which was it? Waas. Well, this next word is very similar s Steuby s story. It means I waas on the V in Spanish. Don't forget is generally pronounced like the letter B so you'll hear Sqb. But there are a few places in the Spanish speaking world where they do pronounce the V just like we pronounce the V. For example My first Spanish teacher was from Chile on in her town. Everyone pronounced the V like a V so she would have said esto V rather than sqb. But as to way or a stove A means I waas So how would you say in Spanish? I was very busy. A stupid moy ocupado is to wait my ocupado I was here yesterday A story a key a year Estoy aqui A year I was at the beach is to wait. Al applied a stupid Allah Playa! I couldn't go to the beach because I was too tired. No podia here, Allah Playa Poor case to weigh them. Asiago can saddle no podia your Allah Playa Poor case to be demasiado cancel Now you might have noticed that Whenever we talk in the negative in Spanish, there's always one word that crops up the word No, if you want to make any verb negative or you have to do is put no in front of it. So we've had the word Correa, which was I wanted. And so in the negative, we get no idea no que area means I didn't want similarly s two way means I waas well in the negative, it becomes no esto be meaning I wasn't so you can add those two phrases to your vocabulary list? No, A steuby means I wasn't Andi. Nokia means I didn't want on. You can put any verb on the end of Nokia and the infinitive because knock area is an infinitive carrier. 91. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53d: So we've just seen that. No. A story means I wasn't Andi know. Area means I didn't want. So how would you say in Spanish? I didn't want to go. No que area here. No carry a year. I wasn't here yesterday. No. Is to weigh a key here? No, it's to be a key. A year. I didn't want to eat at the hotel because the food was terrible. No. Correa Comeere hotel for Kayla. Camilla Flight There really no Correa Comeere Hotel por que la comida there. I wasn't in Spain yesterday. I was here in England. And for this sentence you'll need the word for England, which is England Dehra in black Terra which is spelled I n g l A T e r a. So ingla comes from the same place as the English word Anglo, such as Anglo Saxon On Terra is from the Latin word land. So England Terra is the Anglo Land or England. So how do you say I wasn't in Spain yesterday? I was here in England. No s to be in Espana. A year s to be a key in England. Terra. Nice to be in Espana. Here is to be a key in India. Terra. I didn't want to speak to Maria because I was very busy. No. Correa Alarcon Maria four k s to obey my ocupado. No! Correa Alarcon. Maria Pork! A story. My ocupado. So I said in the English sentence I didn't want to speak to Maria. But generally in Spanish. You say I didn't want to speak with Maria. You can say to Maria, which would be not diarrhea. Avelar up, Maria. But usually in Spanish you say abl are gone to speak with someone rather than to speak to them. How would you say I wasn't tired? But I was very busy. Noise to wake and saddle better a stupid my ocupado noise to weaken Saddle better a stupid Morroco battle. 92. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53e: How would you say in Spanish? I didn't want to take the train, but I was in a hurry. No Correa. Tomorrow train There was two way the priest. No Kerry after my train. Pero esto with the priest. Here's your next word in Spanish and it just happens to end In the letters I a just like Badia on Gaea. The word is Kenya, Dayna means I had and so again you'll notice it ends in I a and the eye has an accent on it . So podia meaning I could Correa, meaning I wanted. And now Kenya, meaning I had all ended in the letters i a Andi, this is the pattern that we'll look at in a bit more depth in a later lesson. But for now, just know that Kenya means I had So how would you say in Spanish? I heard it. LaTonya la tenia I had it with me Latonia Cornmeal Not a neocon, amigo. So in this lesson, so far we've had no podia meaning. I couldn't Katya which means I wanted in the negative we get no idea. Meaning I didn't want s story means I waas noise to weigh. I wasn't and now Kenya means I had. So how would you say in Spanish? I had everything at my house then the act. Although Mikasa Dayna I had a lot of time Dayna Moto Temple. Then you have much of a temple. I had a lot of time to see my friends and my family. Thenia Motor tiempo para mis amigos me familia Kenya much of tiempo para mi familia And they report the personal in front of mis amigos because they are people. If you have in a sentence, more than one name or more than one Now that refers to people you don't have to use The personal are in front of all of them. You can just use it once, but it's not incorrect to use it more than once. So you can say the NEA motor tiempo para bear a mis amigos e mi familia. That's perfectly fine, but generally they just use it once. Then the amount of tiempo para wear a mis amigos e mi familia 93. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53f: remember to make things negative in Spanish You just put no in front of the verb. So how would you say I didn't have it? No, LaTonya no, no tenia I didn't have the time. Not Ania El Tiempo, not a near El Tiempo. So in this lesson, so far we've had not Badia Meaning I couldn't Katya which means I wanted No idea is I didn't want esta way I waas noise to weigh. I wasn't Dayna means I hade Andi not the near means I didn't have. So how would you say in Spanish? I didn't have everything with me yesterday. Not Enya. Talk on me. You are here. Not any Otto Conmigo here. I'm sorry, but I was in a hurry. Andi, I didn't have the time to speak with you. Lossy and little a story the priest in not any el tiempo but Clark la siento There was to be a priest he not any el tiempo, but have large still. Now Kano state means with you when you're speaking formally onto one person. But the informal way off saying with you is on your the informal plural way is Converse Otero's Andi the formal plural way is gone or status. It means money. But if not, I mean some money or any money D Now I know I've mentioned how to say some or any in Spanish before, but I just wanted to recap it quickly. Basically, if you want to say some in Spanish, you don't say anything to say things like I would like some wine or if you want to say any as India have any cheese, it's really quite simple in Spanish. You just ignore the words sung or any So Kierra Gessel get I guess it means I would like some cheese literally. It means I would like cheese. Danny! Asuka Danny! Asuka means do you have any sugar? But literally, it means Do you have sugar tne Asuka? So you haven't got to use the words for some or any in Spanish. So how would you say, Do you have any money de entity, NATO, DNA? Dinero? I would like some money key. I don't dinero gmo dinero and literally, this just means I would like money in actual fact key edl, which I've said means I would like if you translate, it literally means I want so Chiaro dinero means I want money, but in English, because we're a lot more polite, we say I would like some money. I think I mentioned before that sometimes English people find Spanish people a little bit rude because they don't say please and thank you is often or they are a bit more abrupt. And to the point, however, they're not being rude. It's just the way that the Spanish language is in Spanish. It tends to be a lot more to the point, rather than adding extra words just to sound a little bit more polite. An English person would never dream of saying, I want money, but in Spanish, it's perfectly normal to say Kiev the needle in English. We say I would like a lot more than I want just because you want to sound more polite and less rude in Spanish. They say Kierra a lot, but literally GMO means I want. But if you were to translate it into English, we were tend to translate Chiaro as I would like, because we want to sound a bit more polite. So Chiaro dinero I would like some money. 95. 3 Minute Spanish Lesson 53h: How would you say in Spanish? Do you want some money? He added the nail key.
