Casa di Maria, a Casa di Maria at Maria's house 11. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20a: Let's start this lesson with a quick recap off the words and phrases that we learned in the last lesson. How do you say in Portuguese, a map em up to have here? Do you have time a night? Emanu it two nights Do wish Nitish without same the town or the city Asi Dad to take no matter the region Ah ha Geo. Now here's a useful question word in Portuguese owned ond. It means where now, Firstly, this word has a D in the middle, which means you can connect it on. But you also hear some people pronounce it owns you, but also, whenever you have a word important G that ends in the letter E. Depending on where you are in Portugal or where you are in Brazil, you'll hear people pronounce it two ways either on or on day. And so that's whenever you have an E. On the end, some people pronounce the eat like a book, and some people pronounce the like in a so on do or on day are both correct. On the D can be pronounced like a D or like a G. So on the on your on the on Ji are the four ways that you will hear this word pronounced. But just pick one on stick to that so owned or on the So how would you say in Portuguese, where can I pay on the postal bag? Are on the postal bag are where can I make a reservation on the postal Frasier Reserva on the post office here. Where can I pay the bill on the possible gotta quanta on the possible gotta quanta. Now you comport a little bit on the end off ond and you'll get these two phrases on the feca and on the esta on the feca on the esta. Now I told you in the very first lesson that the word for it is in Portuguese is a well. There are also two more words. There's feca and a star. But firstly, let's just have a quick look at a So we've learned phrases such as a bomb meaning it's good a fantastical it's fantastic or now it out on me It isn't for me so it for now we mean it, Andi, it isn't in Portuguese, so it is used most of the time. But then we also have esta on feca. Now these two words are a little more specific in their use. The words ish that and Ficker can both mean it is or just is, and they're used when you're talking about the location off something. For example, whenever you want to say that something is here, you would use either esta or feca for the is. But which one's which. When you're talking about the temporary location off something you would use a stop. However, when you're talking about a permanent location of something, you use FICA. If you think about the word feca looking a little like the word fixed, then you remember this more easily. You use Vika when it's a fixed location, and you use a star when it's a temporary location. So have a look at these example. Sentences on the Fiqh, our restaurant on the fecal wish. The hunter means where is the restaurant, and so the restaurant is a fixed location or a permanent location. It can't be moved. So you have say, where is the restaurant fixed on the FECA or Russia hunt? But this next sentence on the stop milk out now on their stop Amilcar Town means where is my card? And so a card doesn't have a fixed location. It can move around. Therefore its location is temporary. So you use esta rather than feca on the esta male cartel. Let's have a look at some more examples using each word. So let's start with FECA on the FICA Wartelle on the fecal hotel means where is the hotel and so a hotel can't move, so its location is fixed so you have to use FECA under FECA. Ordeal is a permanent location on the FECA because of the power on the feedback as a power that means where is Paul his house? And so a house can't move. It's a fixed location, so it's a permanent location. So you have to use Speaker on the feca. I gather the Fowler on the FICA acquire toe on the fecal cuarto. Where is the room? And so again the room can't move. It's a fixed location on the feca Cuatto on the feca Eloysa on the fecal! Eloysa, where is the shop? So again the shop is a permanent location. It can't move. So you have to say, Where is the shop fixed on the feca? a larger. Now let's have a look at some examples with ESTA instead on their start a Kamina on the stock Kamina means where is the food and so food doesn't have a fixed location. You can move around, and so you can use the temporary location word esta on their Stockholm, either on their stock. Paolo on their step owl, means where is power, so Paulo isn't fixed somewhere permanently, he can move around, and so you use the temporary location esta on their stop Paolo on the star power and it's Tapiola. Where is power? So you can use a stop because power can move around on their stackable on the style modem means Where is the cake? So again a Kate can be moved around, so you use the temporary version off is so just to recap, ESTA means it is all just is when you're talking about a temporary location of something, Onda Feca means it is or just is when you're talking about a permanent location of something. So how would you say in Portuguese it isn't here? Well, you can either say now. A stocky we're now feet cocky, nourished Jackie. If it's a temporary locations. There's something that can move around or Nafi cocky. If you're talking about something that can't be moved around and so you're talking about, it's permanent location. Narasaki Nafi, Kanke. Now this is quite a tricky thing in Portuguese, the different ways to say it is. And so if you get them wrong, don't panic because they all mean it is. They just have slight nuances. So if you use a star instead of feca or even if you just use a instead of any of the location words, you'll still be understood, so don't panic. 12. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20b: How would you say importantes? The hotel is here. Hotel fee. Cocky, we'll tell Fi. Cocky. So you use FECA because the hotel quite move. So it's the permanent location. Hotel FICA aqui. Where is the hotel? On the Fecal Hotel on the FICA Hotel. Where is the restaurant on the FECA? Who has the hunt on the fecal question hunter? Where is Paula? On their Step Allah on their Step Allah. And so Paula can move around. So you use the temporary location on their stop Allah. Now, if you put on the feca Andi on their start in the plural you get these phrases instead on the fecal and on the stone on the feet come. And on this Now they mean, where are on the feet? Come on, on the style. So just like there are three ways to say is in Portuguese, there are also three ways to say our the first word for our is sound the one that we've learned so far. And then the next to our feet. Com and a system so sound become and Ashdown and they all mean are most of the time. You'll just use son, for example, some bones means they are good. Some fantastic Kush. They are fantastic. Now some part of me they aren't for me but the other two was s down and become I mean, are when you're giving the location of something and s down is the temporary location on DFI Com is the permanent location. So let's look at two sentences which may with Frank Ocean Starkey with marriage Fran Walsh Starkey means my chickens are here. So because chickens could move around, then it's the temporary location. So it's Bushmills Languish estan aqui. On the other hand, restaurant has become a key means the restaurants are here, and so restaurants can't move around. So it's their fixed location or that permanent location. So you say your forecast a hand to become a key. Let's look at two more examples on the stone Maria Powell on this town, Mahir Powell means Where are Maria and Paolo? So Maria and Paolo are people, so they can move. And so you talk about their temporary location on their style. Maria, a bowel. On the other hand, on the feet come or shortish on the feet Come bush. Scottish means. Where are the hotels? So hotels can't move, which means we have to talk about their permanent or fixed location. On the feet come both rotation. Let's look at some more examples using fee. Come on, the fee composure has the hunt. Fish on the fecal tries to hunt fish means. Where are the restaurants On the fee? Come is guys ish on the fee. Commit Scottish means. Where are the houses? On the feet come off quarters on the feet come of quarters. Means Where are the rooms? On the feet commits largest on the fee. Come as large is means. Where are the shops? So all those things shops, rooms, houses and restaurants can't move. They have to use feet. Com, on the other hand s down, is used with things that can move so on the styles. Frankel's on the style of Franco's means. Where are the chickens on the stout with me of cartels? Understand. With mayors, Cathouse means where on my cards on this now, as per source on the Estelle especially means where other people on the established Bordeaux's on the established polish, where the cakes and so cakes and people and cards and chickens are all things that can move around, so you use a spell instead of fiqh. Um, so just to recap, Estelle means are when you're talking about the temporary location of something, whereas fiqh, um means are when you're talking about the permanent location. So how would you say in Portuguese, where the currents on this now as a new rush on the style Weston West, where the people on their style as pursue wash on this now is per source where the tables on the style with May's ish on the style is May's ish. Where the restaurants on the feet come on the fiqh, um, or should restaurant dish where our power and Paolo and they stop our problem on the stop Ally Powell, where the hotels on the fee commercial peixe on the fee commercial fish. 13. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20c: So in this lesson, so far, we've had ond meaning where on their star meaning Where is or where is it when you're talking about something that has a temporary location on the FICA means where is or where is it when you're talking about something that has a permanent location? Esta and feca, both mean is or it is when you're talking about something's location on this down means where are when you're talking about something with a temporary location, says something that could be around on on the fuckem means Where are when you're talking about some things permanent location and s down on DFI come both mean are or they are when you're talking about something's location. Now we've already had the word for here, which was a key. Well, here's the opposite. Ali Ali means there. Ali. So how would you say in Portuguese, it's there a Stahle or physically, depending on whether it's something that can move around or not. A star Lee for a temporary location on DFI Kali for a permanent location. How would you say it? Isn't there now a study or now physically Paolo and power on there. Paolo, a power now wished Ali bound way. Paula. Now it's totally so you use s down because Paolo and power can both move. And so let's they only have temporary locations. So Powell, a Paula now a stone Ali, the restaurant isn't there. Who has the Hanta now? Physically, Who has the hunter now? Ficker Ali. And so now you use FECA because when you're talking about something like a restaurant or any other sort of building, well, they're permanent fixtures. And so you're saying the restaurant isn't fixed there? We'll hash the Hampton now feca Ali. And so feca is used when you're talking about something that has a fixed location on ESTA, which tell when you're talking about something that has only a temporary location, so something that can move around. 14. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20d: Now here's a useful phrase that you can use when giving directions. VAT data vow batter. It means go or go to vap data. So how would you say go there? Literally Go to there. Vaporize Ali Vaporize Ali. Or how would you say go to Lisbon? Andi Lisbon in Portuguese is Lisboa Vaporous boa vat, Polish boy? Or how would you say go to the restaurant that better wish the hunt Va about who has the hunter go to the hotel? That battle with ill vap by that water. Now here's another direction. Trays. I'm friend, I'm friend. It means straight on in friend. So how would you say in Portuguese, the restaurant is straight on. Who has the heart of he can friend, Who has the hunter fee Can friend from here It straight on Jackie fee conference Nucky fee confront So that de Onda Key which mean from here joined to become one word Ducky the key fee can friends. So in this lesson, so far we've learned ond meaning where on this star, which means where is when you're talking about something with a temporary location owned the FECA means where is when you're talking about something with a permanent location. Esta and FICA both mean it is or just is when you're talking about something's location on their style means where are when you're talking about the temporary location of something on the feet? Come means where are when you're talking about something that has a permanent location? Estelle and Fiqh, Um mean are when you're speaking about some things Location. Ali means there Vac data means go to when you're giving a direction. Andi Am friend means straight on. Now there's one more thing to add. You might hear this phrase used quite a bit seeing I'm friend Seaga. I'm friend. It literally means continue straight on. But you can use it to mean go straight on. So how would you say in Portuguese? Go straight on. See gun friend seeing on front 15. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20e: It's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. How do you say in Portuguese? Where is the supermarket? On the fee cow Super cattle on the FICA Who took Merkel? Where is the restaurant? On the feca Orquesta Hunter on the fecal Orquesta Hunter. It isn't very good There Now I'm with the morning now in with a volley where the shops on the fee come as lawyers on the fee come as losses The swimming pool is there a Pristina ecology? A Pristina FICA Ali, The cafe is straight on a Langil NATO fee Confront avalanche. Aneta fee. Come, friend. Where are Maria and Josie? On the star Mafia is Jose on the star. Maria Jose! Where is the train station? On the feca as the south of the area on the FICA as the south of the area. The hotel isn't here. It's there. What? Tell now. Fekeiki. Vic Ali. What? They'll now fee cocky physically. Go straight on. Siegen friend Siegen friend 16. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20f: man. It's have a go at doing some reverse translations. What are these Portuguese sentences mean in English on their style Esposa wish on the style Esposo ish Where are the people who took Mercado? Ficken friend, Your foot mark out Alfie Conn Friend in the supermarket is straight on care Were Upadhaya care were apple area I would like to go to the bakery on the feca pariah on the FICA pariah Where is the beach? On the fecal park on the fecal Parker where is the poke? A commedia now with the body comida now in with a body The food isn't very good there on the fecal Costel on the freak out Castel Where is the castle? Get a were Obama uncle Get a were El Banco I would like to go to the bank on the stash of Apollo Melchoir Understand Shop about a male choir too. Where is the key for my room? Vat para pry ammonia And we to Linda Bollea vat para pry ammonia in Little Italy. Go to the beach tomorrow. It's very beautiful. There 17. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 20g: what we'll do now. How do you say in Portuguese? Turn via the first road? A pre made a Who? Uh, the second road, I said when the whole the third road at their state of for then the point on the left. I was scared that on the right, How do you rate that and take Tommy now? In the last lesson, we learned quite a few direction words. I'm going to give you one more lesson full of direction. Words. Directions are rather important for tourists anyway, but for linguists there, even more important, they usually the easiest way for you to get speaking Portuguese as soon as you arrive in Portugal. When I first started going to Portugal after having begun my Portuguese lessons many moons ago, my mom made me asked where everything was all the time. If I wanted to go to toilet, I had to ask where it Waas if I wanted to go to the shop. I had to ask where it waas, no matter what. She always made me ask where things were because it was a good way of practising my language skills. In fact, most of the time I knew where the toilet was anyway, but that made it more useful. I knew what the other person was going to say before they even said it while I was doing was listening to them say it in Portuguese. So when you're in Portugal or any other country that speaks Portuguese, always ask, ask, ask unless it's a medical emergency. Don't be afraid of asking directions in Portuguese, even if you don't quite get the gist of what's being said. You can always just ask somebody else a bit further down the road. Keep asking more and more people until you start to work out what's being said. It's a good way off chewing your ear into the language. One more thing you can do to practice your direction vocabulary is to put your satnav into Portuguese, have a look to see if you can change the instructions to Portuguese and then turn it on when you know where you're going. You don't know what instructions mean if you already know the route. So all you're doing is hearing them being said in Portuguese anyway, Here's something you'll come across on the road. Hota Toria Hotel Astoria It means the roundabout. Ah, hortatory a So how would you say in Portuguese? The roundabout is there on Remember that around about Can't move So it's a permanent location. Ah Hota Toria fee Kylie Ah ho toria FICA Alief Where is the roundabout on the FICA? Futa Toria on the figure out. What a toria! Or how would you say the roundabout is on the left? Ah ho Toria FICA. Ask Erda hortatory Africa. I scare them. 33. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22b: now in writing. If you put an accent over the A in a hot a toria, then you get a hortatory. A is pronounced the same, but it means at the roundabout. And so the accent means that there are two A's together because remember, the word for at is and the word for there is. So rather than saying, uh uh what Victoria for at the Roundabout, you put them into one and you put an accent on it So hot Astoria means at the roundabout. So how would you say in Portuguese at the Roundabout turn left Hota toria Very scared. Alkorta Toria very our area and the r with an accent over it, which means at the can also mean to the And so that's why, in the phrase at a scare that there's an accent over the A there because really, at a Sherida is short for Uh huh scare that has two aces, the first a means to and the second a means the So it means to the left literally Are you scared of the to the left? So when you say very scared, what you're literally thing importantes is turn to the left How would you say in Portuguese at the Roundabout, turn right. Ah ho toria Very data. Ah, hortatory aviary! At the data Paolo is at the roundabout. Paolo Ishtar Hota Toria boo ish that Hatta toria. And so you use a staff because Paolo doesn't have a permanent location since he can move in . So Paulo esta Victoria Now, the word for the road was Allah on. We could put things in front of it and get things like a primate. Oh, who are etcetera? Well, this next word is similar. Asahina Asahina. It means the exit Asahina. And as I said, you could do with a Suceava, as we did with ahora, and get things like a Premera suceava. Which means the first exit a segunda suceava, the second exit, or at our say lasutina, which means the third exit. So how would you say in Portuguese? Take the first exit at the roundabout. Don't be a Premera, Serena Hotel Toria told me a Premera Sayyida Hotel Astoria, take the second exit. Don't be a segunda side either. At the roundabout take the third exit. Hota Toria told me after serious Aida. Ah ho Toria told me a Terceira sayyida 34. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22c: So in this lesson, so far we've had ah ha trattoria meaning the roundabout. Ah, hortatory up with an accent over the a means at the Roundabout SA. Eva means the exit Premera Suceava The first exit a segunda. So either the second exit And at their say that so either means the third exit. Now this next word Batta we've seen before in phrases like Bahrami meaning for me. But But I can also mean towards we had it in vat. Better which means go towards So how would you say go towards Pharaoh Vap at a farm that bad fro at the roundabout Take the exit towards Lisbon hortatory a doma sayyida polish bore Ah Hota toria Dona Celia Relish bore Turn left towards Alba Fina. Very a scared about Albufeira VD I scared up but Albufeira Now the push we learned meant then. But if you put a little word dirt after it, we get the poisoner, the poison, which means after the poisoner and again the dirt you can hear pronounced the hors d or G, depending on where you are in the Portuguese speaking world. So how would you say turn left after the Roundabout And don't forget that when you have the word the close Ah, it becomes that Vieria Scarola the post A photo toria Very scared that the portion Dakota toria So there, plus our becomes down. And don't forget that day plus all becomes due. So how would you say keeping that in mind? I would like to go to the beach after lunch. Caro Year a prior the post one morsel care were a prior the poised Well, most And so you haven't got to use the phrase the voice, the just with directions. You can use it in any situation. How would you say, Can I go after six o'clock? Both were the poster states, or rush. Both were the poster states or rush. And so when you have the plus ash, it becomes dash The poison dashed a show rush. 35. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22d: so we've seen the boys means after, Well, here's the opposite Off the poster antics and vista on again the dirt you'll hear pronounced as the day G depending on where you are in the Portuguese speaking world. So how would you say, turn left before the roundabout? Very scared. I understa hortatory. A very scared that contests the Hota toria turn right before the restaurant VD and Irureta antis Dakota toria, very Irureta and national hortatory. A more How would you say I would like to go before two o'clock? Careful here. Understand? Do a rash. Can you hear, understand? Do a rash. So in this lesson, so far we've learned that Ah ha trattoria means the roundabout. If you put an accent on the, uh, it's still pronounced hardtack tortilla. But it now means at the Roundabout, as Selina means the exit, Premera sayyida means the first exit a segunda suceava, the second exit at their Sarah Suceava, the third exit Bata means towards and the poison it means after and anti sta means before. And don't forget that when you have the word do in front off a word for the they joined together. So dirt plus pool becomes due. Depress abbey comes down. If you have the floor words for the then you have dirt. Plus, Bush becomes do sh Andi the plural word in the feminine for there is ash, and so diplo ash becomes dash. And that one is used a lot with the time, because when you want to say to me like before three o'clock, use a ANTOSH dash fresh wash. 36. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22e: we'll make this our last direction. Related word. Bush The math Use the math for us means the traffic lights bush semaphore. It's got the same origin as the English word semaphore, which were those flags that people use to give signals. And so the traffic lights give signals they are semaphore. So how would you say in Portuguese at the traffic lights, turn left. And don't forget that when you have the word which means at and you put it with the word for the it joins together Oust the math for off Very a scare the our system Afros Very scared. Turn right before the traffic lights. Very a detente is to some Afros. Very idea data antosh, do the math turn towards Lisbon after the traffic lights. Very polish boa the poison Osama for us, very perilous. Bore the poise. Do some math. So in this lesson, we've had ah, hortatory a the roundabout al hortatory A with an accent At the Roundabout, Asai either means the exit a pre made a sigh either the first exit a segunda. So either the second exit at their seder Suceava, the third exit bottom means towards. It also means four in phrases like But I'm the boy. Stir means after ANTOSH means before and post them, after all, means the traffic lights. 37. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22f: it's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. How do you say in Portuguese after the roundabout, take the third road on the left. The push? Dakota toria. No matter. Sarah, who are I scare them. The Post op photo Toria told me at our state before I scared the turn left at the roundabout. Very Lashkargah. Alkorta Toria. Very scared that Ah Hota Toria Turn left before the traffic lights. Very ask Erda. Understood System Afros. Very I scared that understood the math. After the roundabout, take the second road on the right. In the post op photo, Toria told me. I said, going the whole idea later. The push. The photo Toria told me A seven. The whole body Later the shop is on the right. A large a fecal Irureta Alosha Fiqh idea at the roundabout. Turn right. Ah ho Toria Very Irureta. Hota toria. Very data After the restaurant goes straight on and then take the first road on the left The postal Hasta hunt Siegen Friend at the point Tomei a premier who are I scare them? The Post o hasta hanta! Siegen friend that the push told me a premiere of who are scared go straight on and then take the first road on the left Seagram Friends ate the poison, told me a Premera who are scared that see I'm friend A They pushed told me a premier who are scared It's their towards the Hotel Feghali Barrel Hotel Fi Kylie But hotel. Or of course, you could say start early If you're talking about something that doesn't have a permanent location and finally go straight on and then take the second exit at the Roundabout. See, I'm frente a the poise Thomas Iguana, Sayyida Equatoria, seeing I'm friend at the push told me a segunda sayyida al Fatah toria. 38. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22g: Now let's have a go at doing some reverse transitions. What do these Portuguese sentences mean in English? Ah ho Toria told me aside, A Polish boy, Hota Toria Domi Asahina battled Ishbo at the roundabout. Take the exit towards Lisbon Antics. The Sabra Meza pasta provide occasion understa sober. Amazigh possible about occasion before dessert. Can I try the cheese? See Gunflint, the post ometer Sarah for a greater See, I'm friend in the post. Um e a Terceira. Who are our data? Go straight on and then take the third road on the right. The post op photo Toria told me. Arthur Said who? I scared them. The push for Trattoria told me at their set off. What? I scared them after the roundabout. Take the third road on the left Physically Hotel Ficker Ali Baba Wartelle. It's their towards the hotel Hota Toria. Very ashbury. Ah, hortatory A very are scared at the roundabout. Turn left. See? I'm friend A The bush told me after Sarah Asahina Hota Toria. See? I'm friend either. Pushed Told me after Sarasa, either a lotta toria go straight on and then take the third exit at the roundabout. Told me I say I eat up about Albufeira Stormy a sayeeda. But Alba Fada, take the exit towards Alba Favor. Told me after Sarah for a data. Tommy A Terceira for data. Take the third road on the right. Thomas I e. That Arafat told me excited about fondue. Take the exit towards Pharaoh. 39. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22h: what we'll do now are some recap translations to incorporate words and phrases that we've learned in previous lessons. How do you say in Portuguese? Yes, I think it's fantastic here. See para me a fantastic lucky see. But I'm me a fantastic lucky at Maria's house. Gaza DI Maria, Gaza DeMaria And so the accent on the A here is because it stands for two days. Are Gaza di Maria on the two A's mean at the So The first are means at, and the second means the When you put them together, they become just one. But you put an accent on it. So Gaza DeMaria with the accent means at the house off Maria or at Maria's house. How would you say in Portuguese, Do you have any cheese? Thank Asia time casual. I would like a room with a television care home. Quite Tokyo. Mona, Televisa, Caroline Cuarto Go Mata lives on. It's always absolutely perfect. A same perhaps, with the mental perfecto. I would like to go to Lucas House. Kehoe Year. A Casa de Luca a whole year? A Casa de Luca. It's absolutely beautiful here, absolutely mental in Milwaukee. A absolutely mental in Milwaukee. It's extraordinary. A external denied you a extraordinaire, you. 40. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 22i: And now what? We'll do our some Portuguese to English recapitalizations. What are these Portuguese sentences mean in English? Quantico Stepper station. Quanta Costa. Poor safety. Ash. How much is it for six days Also here are gene as you fossil were Arjun as you Can I go to the gym? I mean a pizza paper. Fatal. I mean a pizza. Hyper faith. My pizza is perfect. A prior fee. Confront the beach is straight on. See a fantastical. See a fantastical. Yes. It's fantastic. When myopic and almost fantastical In May OPEC animal most a fantastic. My breakfast is fantastic. Inquired Gareau in Cuarto Veron. I would like a room with a balcony. Please. Carolyn Taxi asked Quattro or as fast? Get on. Taxi. Ash Quattro Wash National. I would like a taxi at four o'clock. Please 41. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23a: Let's start this lesson with a quick recap of the words and phrases that we've learned in the last lesson. How do you say in Portuguese, the traffic lights push them? A ferocious the exit Asahina. The first exit a pre made us I either the second exit a single unless I either the third exit at her Seda Suceava before and thirsty after in the Post E towards Bita and the Roundabout. I hope that Doria now here's a useful little word in Portuguese. The mice de my life. It means too much in the my. So how would you say it's too much in the marsh? A. The mice. It's too much for me in the my spot a me eight and my spine or me. I think it's too much, but I me demise para me that is too much for me is to in the march. Bonomy is away. The mice Bonomy. Another word. The mash means too much, but it can also mean just to so the Maisch come in too much. Or too. Here's a little adjective that you can put on the end off diminish grand grand and again, depending on where you are in the Portuguese speaking world. You'll hear it pronounced grand, grand, grand Gee, and it means big ground. So how would you say it's very big? And we took ground and we took ground. It's too big now when you want to say something like this. There's a little thing you have to remember when you want to say that something is to whatever. You put the word diminish after the adjective rather than in front of it. So if you want to say to Big, you would have to say big to importantes. So how do you say it is too big and granted the mice a grand demise? And so you've literally say it is big, too much in grand in the marsh. Or how would you say, I think it's too big, but I meet and going under the knife, but I me in grand. It's too big for me and granted a much bonomy a ground of the mice part of me 42. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23b: So we've just seen that grand means big in Portuguese. Well, here's the opposite. Began began. It means small begin. So how would you say it's very small and we two began and we took again? Or how would you say it's too small for me? It began with the my spotter me a pack and all the mice Fatemi. So don't forget that when you want to say to small important gauge is a small too much. Begin diminish. How would you say the restaurant is very small. Who has the hunting with him again? Who has the hunter and we to begin? The car is very small. Okay. How am wittle begin? Okay. A ho and we to begin. The table is very small. And don't forget that table in Portuguese is a feminine word, Andi, because begin and end. Oh, when you use it to describe feminine words, you change the o to an A and it becomes beginner a mezza and we to begin a mezza m we Tropicana Now here's a useful word in Portuguese. My life mice. It means more My sh So how would you say more beautiful mice? Linda, my swindle More How would you say more extraordinary? My sister of scenario, my sister Odin, are you? How would you say the food is more delicious? There a comida in my stylist, Rosa Ali. A comida emerged Palacios Ali. And don't forget that because food in Portuguese is feminine. Kamina Then any adjectives that you use describe it have to be made feminine too. So the list which means delicious, becomes DeLacy osa comida In my story, C o za Ali. 43. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23c: these next two words look very different to the words in Grand and begin that they are in fact related in meaning. My your and mineral maior means bigger and men or means smaller. If you think of the English world major, it's the same as mayor except instead of a NY. There's a J and the word minor in English means smaller. And so that's very similar to man or so my your and men war I mean bigger and smaller. So how would you say importantes? Everything here is bigger. You're lucky in my your to tak e a maior. Everything here is smaller. Two Iraqi and manure two lucky Amen. Or so How do you say bigger in Portuguese? My own my own. And how do you say smaller men or Main? Or this next phrase infocomm infocomm means a bit in parties book. So how would you say I would like a bit gavel m'poku gavel in poker? I would like a bit off cheese. And don't forget that the word for off importantes is the or G Carroll on both occasion gavel in Polk. Occasional I would like a bit more yahoo in Boca mice get a hole in Boca Mayes. So in this lesson, so far, we've had diminish, which means too much, or just two grand means Big Begin means small mice means more. My order means bigger, and it looks a little like the English word major. So when something's major, it's big. So my your means bigger main order men or means smaller on that looks a little like the English word minor, which means something that small, so men or is smaller and then in poker, Boco means a bit. 44. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23d: now I've given you to more adjectives in this lesson. Grand Andi began which mean big and small. And remember I said many moons ago that all adjectives have four different forms. A masculine singular, a masculine plural, a feminine singular on a feminine plural. Well, here are the four different forms off grand. So in the masculine, singular is just grand. And to make it plural you add an s and becomes grand ish. Because this adjective ends in an E. The feminine version is the same. So it's grander And to make it feminine Parul again, you just add an s grand ish. So really, there's only two forms off This attractive grand and grand ish began ends in O so that one does have four different homes. So pick Cannel is the masculine singular version To make it plural We Adam s and you get begin als beginning to make it feminine. You change the o to an A and you get began the beginner. And to make this plural you add an s and you get begin ish. So the masculine singular begin masculine plural began ish famine in singular beginner and feminine plural begin ish now importantes on light in English adjectives tend to go after the noun it's describing. I say they tend to go after because there are a couple of exceptions that we'll talk about in another chapter. So instead of saying a big car, you would say importantes a car big. So you say what? His first and then you describe it. This might sound like a backwards way of doing it, but I think it makes more sense in Portuguese than we do in English, because in English we say it's a big car. We describe it before we've been several. It is a big and then we say car importantes. You say it's a car that's big in cow grand in cow grand. So a big car in Portuguese is in car home grand a car, which is big. A small car is a car that small in God, who beginning so in English, We say a small car. We describe it before we say what it is. A small car, important as you say in cow, a car, which is small beginning and God, I hope again a fantastic car would be in Calhoun, fantastical in cargo, fantastical So you always start by saying in cow, And then you describe it from Calhoun, Grander and God, who began Gallo Fantastic. A delicious dinner is Injun Tar Delicioso. Imagine our daily see also dinner, which is delicious in Janta Delicioso. A terrible restaurant would be mashed and totally evil in hostile hands. Deaf, even a restaurant, which is terrible. A beautiful house. Mukasa Linda, my castle in the a house, which is beautiful. And in this one, because the word house is feminine, Umar Gaza. Then the adjective that describes it also has to be feminine. So Lindell is beautiful, but in the feminine version you get Linda Mukasa Linda. This also works in the pearl. Delicious carrots will be Sununu Rush Delicioso. Sonora's daily CEOs ash, carrots that are delicious on their in the plural and also the word for carats is feminine , so it's phone employ all day. Lift your Josh, says the new Russian delisted Delicious carrots. Delicious mangoes is mongers. Mangus Bell is still with us. Now you do the same, even if you use the word Mittal, which means very in front of the adjective. Or if you want to use my SH or my your or manure to make comparisons. For example, a very big car is a car very big when Gallo me two grand and come home with a grand, a very small house. Well, you say a house that's very small in my Gaza Mito began a My car's I'm with began. If you want to say a bigger car, you say a car that's bigger in cow my world in Kabul, my your the same if you use the word smaller man or, for example, a smaller house. Mukasa manure a house that's smaller. Mukasa mental the feminine versions for my order on men or are the same as the masculine versions. Semi your a man or don't change. 45. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23e: So how would you say importantes? I would like a big car. Get a hole in Calhoun Grand Care. Who in Calhoun Grand. I would like a small car, Que el Gallo pickin girl and guy who pickin so literally our like a car, which is small. How would you say a bigger car? And God Who? My own Minkow, Who my own a smaller car in a car home in north in cow manure. Two. Big Cause Dois Cal's grand ish Do Wish Karros brandish two small cars Do wish cow hoof pick a nose. Does cows became news? It's a big table, a ma Maison Grande a m Amazing Ground. It's a small table. It's my mess up again, a woman mezza pickin ana. So just remember, then that when you use an adjective in Portuguese to describe and noun, even though in English report the adjective in front of the noun importantes. You always put the adjective after the known, so as I was saying, a small table, you say a table that small. Secondly, just remember that you also have to make the adjective agree. That means, if the noun is feminine, made the adjective feminine So for adjectives that ended and oh, you change the 02 and a if the adjective doesn't end in and oh, usually the feminine version is the same as the masculine version. And then to make it plural, you add an s to the end off either masculine or the singular version. 46. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23f: so we've seen that much means. More importantly, he's well, here's the opposite men off. May knows it means less mange. So how would you say less big Menos grande Manu's grand or less small Mainers begin men of Pick a new How would you say a bit less for me in Boca May? Not me in Boca Man off Enemy What about a bit more for me? Infocomm, my spotter Me infocomm, I spotted me. Now the word Maine Wash means less, but he can also be used to mean fewer in Portuguese. So how would you say I would like fewer cakes? Care home in off bullish Carol menus Boulahrouz, I said that the word demise can mean too much, but it can also mean too many and so too much and too many are diminish importantes Andi. It always comes after the now that is describing. So, for example, Sanu Rush. The mish would be too many carrots. Carrots too many is what it literally means. V new diminish too much wine and say he's a wine. Too much bullets to mash. Too many cakes, so diminish means too much or too many pizza. The marsh, too much pizza. So how would you say in Portuguese? Too many carrots? Sonora's. It's a new rash demise. Too much cheese cages, the mice casual demise That is too much wine for me is to a vino. The my spatter me is to a vino. The mash bonomy that is too much cheese for me is to occasionally mash. Fatemi is toe occasional the mash. Jeremy, I would like a bit more cheese. Tell in poker my schedule. Yahoo in poker, my schedule. Do you have any more carrots on the word? Any in Portuguese? Doesn't exist. Stages Sadia. Have more carrots time I snu rash time, my son. Wish I would like less cheese. Get home Mental schedule care, Home mental schedule. Can I have fewer carrots? Both Altomare Melo, Stan Rush Both Will Tamar Mental Stand a rash? Can I have a bit more cheese? Powerful tomorrow in broken my schedule. Postal tomorrow in poker mask Asian 47. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23g: in this lesson, we've learned that diminish means too much or too grand means big began means small. My life means more. My your is bigger min or means smaller info called Means a bit off. Manu's means less or fewer. And then we learned that adjectives always come after the noun in Portuguese, so you get things like gavel grand, meaning a big car, literally a car that's big. Who has the hand? Fantastic. A fantastic restaurant, literally a restaurant. Fantastic. So it's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. How do you say in Portuguese? I would like a bit less. Please care Home Poke a man of faith care home in Polk Romano's Slash. That's too much for me. He's so a The much batter me is to a the Mice Fatemi a bit big in Boca Grande Infocomm grand. It's very small, and we to begin, and we took again. A bit less for him, please. In Polk, Amanda's para ellos fresh in poking Manley's Perriello Strache, a big car in Calhoun Grand in Calhoun Grand, a small car, um, Tahoe pick and when cow hope again, I would like a big table please care whom. Amazing, grand, fashionable Kehoe. Mommy's a grand ish. That's a very big table is to a one made some We two grand is to a amazing muito grand that's too big is so ungrounded the mice east oh, and granted a mish. So remember that when you use in diminish too mean to, then it comes after the adjective in Portuguese. And so, rather than saying that's too big, you say that's big Two is way ground, the much meaning likely that is big, too much grander diminish. 48. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 23h: Now let's have a go at doing some reverse translations. What of these Portuguese sentences mean in English? It began on the mice. It began with a mish. It's too small in Boca, my spray less fashionable in Boca, my spiridellis fresh level A bit more for him. Please get a hole in Boca. My stash of order gavel in Boca mice fashionable I would like a bit more. Please began with the mice began of the marsh Too small to do him an Iraqi Toto. Amen. Nawrocki Everything is smaller here. How do you say in Portuguese? More mice, less Manu's to or too much? The mice a bit off in vocal do big ground Small began bigger. My own smaller men. Or now let's start this lesson with a little cooler. Aim their Manu I m. Very milieu. It means in red investment. You. So how would you say, Do you have that in red Time Is to Denver Milieu. Time is to Enver Milieu. The world very milieu comes from the Latin word va milieu. Very milieu, Which means Little Wim very or worm vermillion. You onda Very milieu in English is actually a tired little insect that is red. Andi. You can push them down and make red food coloring, and that's where it comes from, but a meal you, which literally means little whim. But it also means red. So how would you say I would like that in red care? We So ember milieu care. We Sue Enver Milieu. I would like the car in Red Caro Caro Ember Milieu, Kehoe Cargo, Enver Milieu. Now I've done a vocabulary expansion section at the end of this course for colors. So go intake ganda, and you'll have all the colors. But let's just go over them now. So very male, you means red port para poor, poor A means purple Popara my home, my home means brown my home. Then Hawza for them means pink Hawza. Then as you as soon means blue as well. Very the very the means green better the on again because this ends in a d e. Then, depending on where you are in the Portuguese speaking world, you'll hear it verily, verily, very edgy. Very day. And so Varel the means green la Honda That ninja means orange, la Honda pray toe Graito means black Graito. I'm Arial a Mario means yellow a Meriel. And this word comes from the Latin word amorous, which means bitter or sour. And so, if you think about a lemon being very bitter, a Meriel is yellow. Then my Uncle Branko means white Bronco. It looks a little like the word blank blank. So if you think of a blank canvas being white Branco, the Bronco means white scenes up scenes means gray scenes on This comes from the Latin word Sinise, which means ash, which is grey in color. So scenes are means gray scenes. Then there are two little adjectives that you can put on the end off. Any off the colors. Cloud cloud means light. So, for example, as you, Clara, as a cloud means light blue as well. Cloud Oh, so you say the cooler and then just like any other adjective in Portuguese, the adjective comes after the colors are as collateral means literally blue, light or light blue as well. Claro then a school. A school is the opposite off cloud on. And so it's means Dark s quarrel and it looks a little bit like the English word obscure s quartile. And so when something's obscure, it's not clear. And so its meaning is dark. So s school. And again, you put this on the end off. Any color to make it dark as well as school as well as school means dark blue as a school. So glad all means light and a school means dark 52. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 24b: the words this that these and those are called demonstrative in Portuguese. They change depending on whether the noun there are faring, too. Is masculine feminine, a singular or plural in English? The word. This refers to singular objects such as this house, this car or this restaurant, whereas these refers to plural objects, these houses, these cars or these restaurants similarly, that reversed the singular objects. Whilst those is the pool, this apple, it's a singular. These apples is the probable that apple is the singular and those apples is the plural. In Portuguese, there are 10 different variations. It might seem like a lot, but they're quite simple. Really. You have two words for this. Two words for that two words for these and two words for those on the reason is because you have a masculine version and a feminine version. So this in Portuguese is Eshed or esta Esto esta from masculine and feminine now owns that . On the other hand is Essar, Essa s Essa And again it's the masculine and the feminine versions s these Well, we have to do is put an s on the end of the words for this. So you get ash dish and aced us esters and asked us for these the masculine and the feminine into their floor words. So Esther and Esther are singular. Esters and esters are plural. You do the same for those The words s and esa mean that on their singular Well, those is plural. So we have to do is put an s on the end of the words for that SA and SS s ish s ash for the masculine and the feminine. So you've got Pashto. Esta mean, this is to Essam. I mean that and then in the plural or you have to do is port s is on the end of everything . Esther's s stash mean these ss and sa sh mean those. Now that looks like quite a lot of words to remember. But you can separate them into two groups that this in these group Andi that in those group so into this on bees group, you have esto esta esters and s touch. And in the that and those group you have is to Esa s Ocean s fresh. The two groups are almost identical. The only difference is that this and these group has a t in the middle, Andi that that and those group doesn't. And you can imagine that t is like a little arrow pointing to this one or these ones. Where is without the tea? Then it's that or those esto esta s dish dash dash as to Esa s ocean. Shh! 53. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 24c: We've just learned all the demonstrative in Portuguese. That's the words for this. These that and those. And remember that the only difference between the two groups is that that and those group doesn't have a t on this in these group does have ity. So Esther, Esther s h and s ash mean that or those esto esta Esther's aan de stash mean this on these . So how would you say this restaurant is fantastic? On restaurant is a masculine word. HTA fester hand to a fantastical esta has a hunt. A fantastical. This pizza is delicious. On pizza is a feminine word. Ash the pizza. Italy C o za Yes, The pizza Italy C o za. This hotel is very good and hotel is musket. Yes, the hotel and we Tobon. Yes, the hotel in Wittman. These carrots are terrible, and so carats is a feminine word. But because we're saying these carrots, it's going to be in the plural. Yes, that's the new rash South. The revision. It's just a new rushed out there revision. These capes are perfect. And so the word for cake bottle is masculine. But because we're saying these cakes, then it's going to be in the plural. Ask the small off south per faithful's Ask this ball off south. Perfecto! That restaurant is fantastic. So now we're saying that there's no t in that in Portuguese. Eso esta hunt. A fantastical eso esta guarantee. Fantastical. That pizza is delicious. Yes, a pizza. Delicioso. It's a pizza. Delicioso. How would you say that? Hotel is very good. Yes, The hotel in with a woman. Is the hotel immutable? Those carrots are terrible. A special trash south there he vision s s entourage south There he vish Those cakes are would SS bowler stubble as his bowler stumbles And these cakes are good. Estes bowl of stubble, ash this bowl of some bones. 54. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 24d: I said in the last lesson that there are 10 words for this. That these and those in Portuguese. But so far we've a learned eight. Well, we have learned another word for that. He soon eso we learned that in the first lesson on me let that means that when you're not using a noun and you're just using the word that by itself you can use the word east. It's sort of a neutral form off the word for that. When you're using that with a noun, however, you must use the masculine or feminine versions s or esa, for example that is fantastic. You just say issue a fantastical east to a fantastical because you're not using any noun. You just saying that is fantastic. Just by looking at the sentence, you can't tell what that is. But then, if you want to say that house is fantastic, well, then you've got the word house, which is a noun. So instead you have to say a sack. Karzai fantastical a Sacasa a fantastic or that car is fantastic s a gal who, if fantastico s a cow, a fantastical so he sue is used when you're just using that by itself. But if you want to say that with a noun like that house or that car, then you have to use eso esa. The same goes for the word. This if you're using a noun when you have to say Esther or esta the masculine or feminine versions. However, if you're not using a noun and you're just saying this by itself, then you can use the neutral version each east. So each store means this. When you're not using a noun, for example, ish to a delicioso, each to weather list. He also. But then, if you're using a noun, you have to use the masculine or feminine versions. Ish that or ish, there s the pizza medalist. Shiozawa, for example, means this pizza is delicious. Esta ball with the CEOs. This cake is delicious. How would you say in Portuguese, this is fantastic issue. A fantastical is toe. A fantastical. This pizza is delicious. If the pizza delicioso, it's the pizza Delicioso. This cake is delicious. Yes, the ball. Delicioso esta ball. Italy CEOs Who? How would you say this is delicious? Htwe Delicioso ish toe Delicioso that is fantastic, is to a fantastical issue a fantastical. That pizza is delicious. It's a pizza delicioso. It's a pizza Italy C o za. That cake is delicious. Assessable ed ratios assemble a delicioso that is delicious is to a jealousy also issue with Delicioso. 55. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 24e: You might need one of these. Kehoe, Esser, Kazakh one Que os fukasaku. Or how would you ask? Where is my coat on their stop? Milkers are cool on the estoppel male quizzical and so a coat can be moved around. So it's not gonna permanent locations that you use the temporary word Isha And you may also notice that Ishtar, which means is looks very similar Toe esta which means this in the feminine well, they are spelt the same except the word for is has got an accent on the A on the word for this doesn't The reason for this is because the word for is you stress the last parts of esta on the esta America's aku. Where is the word for this? You stress the first part Esta esta for this. And so whenever you have an accident on a word in Portuguese, you stress that part more. So you emphasize that part more on their star in milk was Arkle. Where is my coat? How would you say? Do you have this coat in red? Y esta kazakh? Oh, Inver milieu tiene esta Kazakh Coimbra milieu. The best thing to do with the vocabulary expansion sheets is to learn two or three words at a time. Things that you think will be useful when you go to Portugal or Brazil, you don't need to learn the whole list. Just learn two or three at a time and you could write them down on little cue cards. Toe have you to memorize them better. So in this lesson, so far we've had in very male you. Which means in red esto esta or is too? I mean, this Esther and esta are used when you're speaking about a noun on each toe is the neutral form. When you're not referring to anything in particular, Ash doesn't s stash mean these eso esa on Easter. I mean that. And again, you've got the masculine feminine. And then the neutral form Easter Assertion s I mean those and in Kazakh. Oh, means a coat. 56. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 24f: If you go shopping, you'll probably need one of these Almost Akula. You must Akula! It means a bag, Masekela! So how would you ask? Do you have a bag? Fine. Humus! Akula time! Imus! Akula! Do you have any bags? And you don't say the word for any in Portuguese. Excuse me. Where the trolleys call me Sensei. Only start with carry news. Call me sensor on this doubles Carry news now Remember how I said last lesson that adjectives have to come after the noun in Portuguese. Well, all colors are adjectives, so they must come after the word they're describing. So for example, if you want to say white wine, important keys, you say wine, white or wine, which is white v New Branco. We knew my ankle. A yellow house would be a house yellow. My Gaza Amarilla Mukasa Amarilla. Since colors are adjectives, they have to agree to what it is that they're faring too. For example, Vermijl, you means red. But it ends in o. You change the O on the end to an A in the feminine form of Amelia. And you can use that to describe feminine loans. So, for example, if you want to say a red car, you would say in car Hoover milieu in Calhoun, where? Milieu? Because car is masculine. But if you want to say a red House, whether warehouses feminine. So you would say my Gaza familia, My car's over, media. A red house or literally, a house that's red Now, one more thing to note is that if you want to say red wine in Portuguese, you actually have to say tinted wine. They say venue Tinto, not V Novara milieu. So Vino Tinto is red wine? They call it tinted one. How would you say then in Portuguese? I would like the red coat. Carew. Kazakh uber milieu Care who? Kazakh uber male You so literally say I would like the coat red. Or how would you say, Do you have a green car time in Calhoun? The word for some You don't say anything in Portuguese. So how would you say I would like some white wine? Literally. I would like white wine care Vino brand Cannavino Bronco. Or how would you say I would like some red wine? Cano Vino Tinto Caro Vino Tinto. So, in this lesson we've had in very male you ember milieu meaning in red Then the words for that you have a masculine feminine Andi, a word that you use without me Announce. So s and Esther are the words you use with downs. But if you just want to say that by itself, you say east the plural those you just put an s on the end. You get S h and s a sh this in Portuguese while you have a t in the middle Ashton esta for the masculine and feminine versions if you're using them with downs But if you're using it just by itself you're saying eastdil Then to make them plural, you get these Estes and a stash A coat in Portuguese is in Kazakh Incas Aku a bag is mass Akula you must Akula. The word for a basket is must esta mas esta And then the word for a trolley or cart as in a shopping trolley or a shopping cart is whom carry new I think I knew. And we also said that colors are adjectives so in Portuguese, if you're describing what cool something is, the cooler comes after the now that is describing on def, it's feminine. Now the do is part of the phrase and you have to keep in mind that when you join due to other words, it joins to them. We've already seen that you can join it to the word there. So dirt plus who becomes due Dear Plus Abbey comes down the plus bush becomes deuce and dare pless, ash becomes dash. Similarly, the word do joins with the words for this that these and those all the demonstrative so do plus esta becomes desta or if you join it to esta you get Desta Modesto and Desta. Deena Butta Evora. The word either comes from the Portuguese word that we've already seen ear, which means to go. So when you put the either on the end off in Billy ETA, it sort of means a ticket just for going or a single ticket, a one way ticket and be the Eto do either Caro and Juliet the either gave aura. 73. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 26b: if you want more than 11 way ticket When you're say, Deutsche Billy Ettus T either does Billy Etter Stina, which means 21 way tickets. And so notice how you only make the bill yet depart plural. So Bill yet means ticket bill yet means tickets. The either bit just goes on the answer Doyce Pediatrician either 21 way tickets. So how would you say in Portuguese? I would like 21 way tickets for Porto care Who does, Billy? It is to either para Porto, their whole Jewish mediators to either Porto How much is it for? 31 way tickets. Quanta Costa Portrush Mediators to either Quantico Support Press. Psst! Either. Or how would you say I would like 41 way tickets, please. How much is that? Kehoe? Quattro, Billy. It is to either slash or Quanta Costa Caro Quattro Billy ETA Steelers Fashionable Quanta Costa. So, Emily ETA is a ticket and earlier today either means Ah, one way ticket because the word either is like going. But if you want to come back, then you'll need one of these in Bill. Yet the either the Volta and Billy ETA the either the Volta. It means a return ticket. So the either is like going. And then Volta means returning so literally. It's a ticket for going and returning when really after the either Volta. So how would you say in Portuguese? I would like a return to get for Lisbon Care Home and Bill. Yet the Volta perilous for Kehoe in Bill yet the e di Volta Polish bowler. So in this lesson, so far we've had in Julieto meaning a ticket. When Billy after that either means a one way ticket does Billy at first either means 21 way tickets that we have to do is make the word bill yet a plural By putting an s on the end, you don't touch the either bit on the end, Dorsch, Juliet ish the either and then a bill. Yet the E di Volta means a return ticket, literally a ticket for going on returning 74. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 26c: So I showed you that when you want to make in Bill yet to the either plural or you have to do is make the bill yet word floor by adding an s to the end. Well, the same goes with him Bill yet the five Alta. If you want more than one return ticket, then you'll say this Dorsch. Juliet ish the Volta to return tickets. So the only word that you make plural is the word bill. Yet it becomes $1,000,000,000.1,000,000,000. The either evolved. So how would you say in Portuguese? I would like to return to kids for Porto care Hold wish Juliet ish t e di Volta para Porto Caro Does Billy Editors T e di Volta para Porto Or how would you ask how much is a one way ticket for Pharaoh Quanta Costa humble yet to develop Arafat Quantico Stone with yet the para farm? Or how would you ask How much is it for two return tickets for Braga quanto Costa produce pediatrician Eli Volta Sara Braga, Quanta Costa. Poor Deutsche Mediators to eat. I vault up Sara Braga now in English, we tend to say a ticket to Braga or a ticket to Faro. Whereas importantes, you always say a ticket. Four Braga or a ticket four Pharaoh. And so you use the word batter for four in this situation. So when you're saying a ticket for Braga, then use a bill yet? Bata brother. Secondly, you might have noticed that I've started to say Quanta Costa poor to mean How much is it for? Well, I haven't told you about this phrase yet, So if you didn't get that right, don't worry. But it's just a set phrase in Portuguese. Quanta Costa Poor How much is it for all Italy? How much does it cost for They use the word poor rather than data in this situation to say four Quanta Costa poor So how would you say importantes? How much is it for? To return to kits for Lisbon Quanta Costa Paradise Pediatrician Eli Volta Parish bowler Quanta Costa. Poor does Billy. It is to live Alta Polish boy. Or how would you ask? How much is it for a bottle of white wine? Quanta Costa Omega Half leaving you Bronco Quanta Costa Carafa giving your ankle. How much is it for? Three tickets for Porto Quanta Costa for Tresh Juliet ish para Porto Quanta Costa Poor trash Billy, It's para Porto. Here's your next word and you might be out to guess what it means. Who dream what time it means the train would dream. So how would you ask Importantes? Where is the train? Onda? Obviously, trains can move so it would be a temporary location on the style trim on their style train . Or how would you ask, Where is the train for Lisbon on their style train publish bowler on this doubt trained parish bowler What time is the train for Pharaoh? According to a well trained para far I Cordish able train Arafat. 75. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 26d: So in this lesson, so far we've had in Bill yet, Billy ETA, which means a ticket in Billy ETA. The either which means a one way ticket. Does Billy Ettus t either means 21 way tickets in Marietta do either I Volta means a return ticket. Does Billy attached to either the Volta means to return tickets? Quanta Costa poor means How much is it for? And then you dream means the train. Here's your next word, and you might be able to decipher the meaning of this one without too much trouble. Who on a moose on a moose? It means the boss who? Only Booth. Actually, there is a slight difference between the Brazilian Portuguese on the European Portuguese. With this way in Brazil, they say animals for boss. But in Portugal they use this word a bit more. Who out of gavel out ocal, which also means the boss. So in Brazil, they say, warning moose. And in Portugal, they say out alcohol you can use either, and they'll both be understood. So how would you say in Portuguese, where is the boss on their stop only booth on their stop only booth or in European Portuguese, They'll say on the esta well, toe Calhoun on the stock. Well, took a whole How would you say? Can I take the train postal tomorrow? Cream fossil tomorrow? Dream. I would like to take the boss game tomorrow only. Booth. Oh, careful Tomorrow How would you say? I like the train, but I prefer the boss goes to train Smash fear Oh wo nibbles goes to the train mash peripheral animals or in Portugal you'll say goes to do train, mash, refuel Wow, Takaful How would you say I like the boss? But I prefer the train goes to do animals Mashrafe Euro dream Who goes to do have Tokyo mash graffito who dream so on divorce or outdoor gavel both mean boss on the boards in Brazil and alcohol in Portugal Now this next week is always a useful word No matter where you go Manero Obonyo It means the toilet habanero. So how would you say Where is the toilet on toilets Generally don't move so it'll be a permanent location on the fecal Venero on the fecal Venero I would like to go to the toilet a whole year. Albany Row care who year in year Can I go to the toilet? Plus, we're Albany Row. Both were Albany Row 76. 3 Minute Portuguese Lesson 26e: in this lesson we've learned from Balletto means a ticket When Billy had to dina a one way ticket. No experiences to either 21 way tickets Billionaire to delay Volta A return ticket No, it's Bill yet it's the Volta to return to kids Quanta Costa Poor How much does it cost for ? Oh train the train Wana Booze Oh out a cow both mean the boss and you bang in a row means the twit So it's time now to practice all those words How do you say in Portuguese I would like a return to get for Coimbra Care Home media to deny Volta para Coimbra get home But yet the live alta Mira Coimbra I would like two tickets for Pharaoh shareholders Bill Yetis Para Far Care hold us mediators para far How much is it for two tickets? Quanta Costa Paradiso Quanta Costa $4.1,000,000,000 I would like 21 way tickets for Braga please Caro Noise Billy It is T either but a Braga's trash For more care Who does? Billy? It is t either Para Braga's flash forward Where is the train station? On the feca with the South Ferroviaria on the FICA West The Sound ferroviaria Ah, one way ticket is five euros and bill yet of the inner a single way widows and bill Yet to the either a single LaRoche or in this sentence you can also use the word Costa to mean a one way ticket costs five years on Billy after the either Costa Cinco a How would you ask?
