About This Class

Hello and welcome to “3 Minute Italian” The aim of this course is to make Italian accessible to anybody regardless of age, educational background or "aptitude" for learning.

My method for teaching Italian is simple but effective. It works for anybody, no matter what your requirements. I have been teaching foreign languages for over ten years and I’ve taught a wide range of students of all ages and backgrounds, including students with learning difficulties, so I know my method is accessible to absolutely anyone, with no exception.

With this course, it’s almost as if you have your very own language tutor at your beck and call. Take it with you wherever you are and have a quick listen to one of the lessons whenever you find yourself with three minutes to spare. You will be amazed at how much your language skills will develop after just a few minutes a day of study. You will start to learn the Italian language in a simple, logical and fun way.

You will learn a variety of words that you will learn to put together to form sentences that will be useful in any visit to Italy, and you'll learn how to put the words together to form sentences, saying exactly what you want.

There is ample opportunity throughout the course to practise what you've learnt, and structured repetition ensures you'll never forget what you've learnt.

Makes learning Italian so simple and easy!
I'm loving this class! I wish we could have access to the expansion sheets, but other than that I have no complaints; it's great!!
Just finished video 15 and I will for sure keep going. I've tried several methods of learning Italian (mobile apps, Rosetta stone, and even a local meetup group with a native speaker), and this is *by far* the most efficient and effective way I've tried. Admittedly it could help that I've established a basic vocabulary, but already in the beginning of this course I've learned a couple of new words and, more important, learned how to apply them in every day use. I'm speaking out loud in useful phrases (this course doesn't focus on writing), and that is exactly what I need in order to actually learn to speak Italian with confidence. Thank you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you publish Course 2 by the time I finish with this one. :)

Learn to speak to the world

Hola, bonjour, olá, hallo and ciao!

I’m Kieran and I’m a language tutor based in the UK, and I also create online courses and write books to make language learning accessible to all.

My books and online courses are based on the methodology I developed for teaching languages, which I've been using in all my classes for many years. The methodology will get you speaking quickly, without the struggle normally associated with language learning.

I’ll not bore you with my life story or intricate details of the history of the methodology; I know you probably just want to start learning now, so I’ll let you get on with it.

Actually, I’ve changed my mind, I will bore you a little before we start. It’s my biography! I’ll keep it as brief as I can though.

I’ve been tutoring people for over ten years on a one-to-one basis in a range of subjects. I love languages, I love learning and I love teaching. I also love chocolate, but this isn’t really the place to discuss my chocoholism. I’m very lucky that I get to teach people every day. However, I can’t fit everybody who asks me into my schedule so, regrettably, I end up turning a lot of people away. I wish I could teach the whole world but I’m yet to figure out a way of duplicating myself!

The next best thing is to teach through the medium of an online course. So, that’s what I’ve decided to do. If you've enrolled onto one of my courses, then I will soon be teaching you the glorious splendour of whichever language you've chosen, be it French, Spanish, German, Italian or Portuguese.

Anyway, I'll stop blathering on in a minute and we'll get started with learning. But, firstly, let me just say this...

Hullabaloo!

No, I'm joking, of course, let me say this instead...

We are all human beings, which means we all possess the attributes that make us human beings. There's a wonderful quote by a man called Terence:

“I am human, and nothing that is human is alien to me”

What it means is that if one person is capable of something, then we are all capable of it, because we’re all humans too. There's nothing in the world that I cannot understand if somebody before me has succeeded in understanding it. Therefore, it’s only logical that since there are millions of people in the world who have managed to learn to speak a second language, then you can learn it too!  And I'll show you how...
