So how would you say in French? Where you going? Well, evil. Well, if you are you going to Paris? Olivo apart. Olivo apari What time you're going to Paris? A que era el Ivoire Pattani. A killer olive weaponry. Where you going to have dinner? Well, even point already. Knee Who? Olivo pointer Litany. Are you going to make a reservation? Olive affair offensive. Assume I leave you for whom you have assumed. Are you going to hire a car? Olive? You Louis invite you. And if we wait in what year? Now he's a nice question. Weighed in French. Come on, come on. It means how common So how would you say in French? How are you going to Paris Common, Oliva packing on the t on the end of comma. You can if you want, liaise with the A at the start off a level common Taliban Socom, Montolivo apari Similarly, the s on the end off. Oliver, do you can liaise with the A in Montolivo's A party? But you haven't got to So the liaison between different letters is completely optional, so you can use a comma. Oliver Parry, Commentary of weaponry Comment So you can liaise a continent on the end of a word. If the next word starts with a vow, how would you say, How are you going to pay Cometa? Leave You pay common Talib who pay you well. How are you going to pay the bill? Comment, Montolivo payload issue. 7. 3 Minute French Lesson 27b: How would you say in French, How are you going, Comma Oliver Common Taliban Now the phrase comment a level you will hear quite a lot in French speaking countries. That's because it means, how are you? So when you ask common room, it means, how are you? So whenever you meet someone, you can say to them Bushel Commentary view, which means Hello, how are you? Literally? It means, How are you going? But in French, that means how are you? It's like in English. We say, How are you doing in French? You say common level. No one will come in that even Hello, How are you? His Your next word in French Young Bill. It means fine or well, Byoung the wood beyond is what you can use to answer the question. Comment that evil. You can imagine a mini conversation that you could use whenever you meet someone. The first president says Marshall, Meaning how how are you? And he can answer and say something like beyond Marcy Tribbiani, which means well, thanks very well and you So a view means, and you and then the other person could say we trivia no seem, etc. Yes, very well as well. Thank you. And so you can use common valuable to mean. How are you? And young? You can put into a endless amount of phrases. Toe answer that you're well or very well. Fine. So be mst Tribbiani. We tried, you know? See, Mel C. This is a nice little phrase that is related to an evil is your vein is your vein. It means I'm going. So, Oliver, who is are you going? And juvie means I'm going. So how would you say in French? I'm going to Paris tomorrow. Juve Apathy Demon. Or you can liaise the s in V with the A at the start of next word your visa. Freedom A was your VfL Heydemann. How do you say I'm going to make a reservation? Juvie fell. Jubei felt, you know, has a bassoon. The phrase juvie is a good way of talking about the future of French. What you can take is the SUV and put any vote on the end of it. To say what it is you're going to do For example, JVP is I'm going to pay. You're a fairly Dini. I'm going to make dinner. Juve easily Elop Lodge. I'm going to go to the beach so you can put any verb after juvie to mean something that you're going to do. 8. 3 Minute French Lesson 27c: How did the same French I'm going to hire a car? Is your valuation watcher JaVale away in Watcher? I'm going to pay for the wine. Did you have a pH level? Is your baby a live on? I'm going to have a tea. Juve Ponta. And do you have a pond on the So don't forget when you're talking about have and you're talking about food and drink. You tend to use Ponta instead of so is your Vega's. I'm going. If we make the phrase negative, we get Juna vapor, which means I'm not going now. This is forwards Jordan of A. When you're speaking French, you can say you know vapor but to sound a little more French if you link the 1st 2 words together So rather than June, if you make them June and then put the end on June Viper, it sounds a bit more French rather than Juno vapor. But that's perfectly acceptable. You can say either way, whichever you're most comfortable with soju, no vapor or June Vic, I'm not going So in this lesson so far we've had a level meaning Are you going? Come on. Which means how Montolivo how are you young? Fine is your V. Which means I'm going. And John v. Power. I'm not going. So how would you say in French? I'm not going to Paris Juna vapor apathy? Or you can bring this year and then together and make June vapor apart where you can even liaise the s on the end of power with the next word. I'm not going to Paris. You shouldn't be a passer by. How does that? I'm not going to make a reservation is unified. Befell, you know, has a vast or jin a professor who has a vested. I'm not going to hire a car. June people away and fracture June Vape value. And what you 9. 3 Minute French Lesson 27d: How do you say in French? I'm not going to pay for the wine Gen. Pop, Jin Bae, Papa Yerevan? Or How does that? I'm not going to have a tea. I'm going to have a coffee Jundiai, pap, andante, Ponta and coffee. June Papon's Dante J. Ponder. I'm Taffy Now when you get asked the question. Common deliveroo meaning, How are you? As I've said, you can just answer with Byung. Meaning fine. However, if you want to add a little pizazz to your language, you can now say you've Abia. Is your baby young? This literally means I'm going fine, which we don't say in English. But the friends say it all the time. It's very similar to the English phrase I'm doing well, so is your baby on? I'm doing well and so you can imagine a conversation. Someone says Comment that evil. How are you? You can answer. Is your baby and mercy time Young able, which means I'm doing well. Thanks. I'm doing very well, and you and the other person could say res Libya. Yes, I'm doing well. And so there's another option for answering common Taliban juvie beyond. I'm doing well, or you could just say Young installing a motor when someone asked you a question like, How are you in English? How do you answer? Generally, people have a response that comes out automatically whenever they're asked questions that they get asked a lot. I know if I get asked how I am, I usually say, Yes, I'm good, Thanks. How are you? I don't think about it just comes out. This is because my response to this question has become a reflex. Similarly, if somebody asked me in French that evil without thinking, I automatically say trivia messy, the words just come out of my mouth. This is because I've said them so often they've become a reflex. A reflex is something that happens quickly and automatically. They happen all over the body. For example, if you put your hand on something really hot, you don't leave it there and go high hopes that really burns and then slowly take your hand off. No, what happens is you don't even think about what to do. Your body just pulls the handoff automatically in languages. I call these reflexes motors. That's because they have you to speed along with your language, learning and the more motors you installed in your brain, the more quickly you will be communicating easily. In French, installing a motor is easy. The hardest part is just deciding what your motor is going to look like in the next lesson we're going to make to small motors that you can use every day in French. 10. 3 Minute French Lesson 27e: installing a motor. So I just said that we're going to learn to small motors that you can use every day in French. The 1st 1 is the Hello. How are you, motor? There are a couple of ways you can now ask this infringe usual commentary, which literally means Hello, How are you going? But in English, it means Hello, how you doing? The second way is bushel Libya. That means hello. Are you going well or are you doing well? The 1st 1 is used more often, but the 2nd 1 is just as good. So pick that one. If you prefer now, to install the motor or you have to do is repeat it to yourself again and again and again and again. Imagine yourself in situations where you could use it and say it out loud to yourself. When you walk into a restaurant, you can say Boudreau. Commentary. When you go into a hotel, you can say usual comedy. When you go into a shop. Boudreau coming to leave. Even when you pass somebody when you're accident, walk in the park usual. So that's your first motor, Bouzou commented. Leaving your second motor is going to be your response to this question. Again. There are numerous ways that you could do this. We have a BMX, Steve. That means yes, I'm doing well. Thanks. And you, you may be on TV. I'm doing well and you beyond evil. Fine. And you be a mercy. Fine, Thank you. And you, we pay tribute. Murthy. Yes. I'm doing very well, thank you. And you, You've Tribbiani. I'm doing very well. And you TV on evil. Very well. And you see you very well, thank you. In June. So you see all of those answers to the question. Comment and evil are really just made up off the phrases UV beyond Messi and evil with a We put in there now and again. Or to pray, to make it more emphatic. So pick your favorite and install it. Say again and again to yourself. Every time somebody asked you how you are, say it very quickly. It will become so engrained in your brain that you won't have to think about how to say it . It will just come out. So here's your second motor Libya, Mercy Evreux or any variant of that. Remember, however, that if you ask somebody how they are and then they ask you back. You don't then say And you on the end of your response around, she could be in an endless spiral of a news. Therefore, the second motor can have the bit at the end. Put in brackets. Is that for if somebody else ask you first, So the trivia messy a room apart while the crew is optional. Don't worry, though, If you do say and you and you were the one who asked in the first place, this can happen even in English. I know many a times when I've been in the awkward a new situation where you've said hi, how are you? And somebody else says, Fine, thanks. How are you? And then you say, Yes, I'm well, thanks. And you, Um yes, I'm fine. You would ask me that. I think people make mistakes, and sometimes a mistake in a foreign language can be an ice breaker. It can be endearing, Andi. It could make somebody want to talk to you more. But anyway, install these two motors by saying them to yourself again and again. And then when you're traveling through a Francophone country, that means a French speaking country. Take the exit towards X and Provence and then go straight on you. Really? I would like to go to the bakery tomorrow. Pleasuring shown proposed to Swasey Ripley Reservoir Dujan proposes Swasey Bubbly. May I have a room for tonight, please? 16. 3 Minute French Lesson 27.5a: I thought it would add a little bit extra to the previous lesson. This is because there is more than one way to ask. How are you in French? Previously my lent this question and answer. Come on, Montolivo. Which means how are you? And the answer is William Esty, which means I'm doing well. Thank you, JB Mst. But this isn't the only way. His an expression. You're here a lot. Seva Seva. It's another way to ask. How are you? Seva literally means it's going. So it's sort of similar to the English question. How's it going, Seva? As I said, there are numerous ways to ask. How are you? Infringe? Here are a few ways to ask. How are you? Pick your favorite, Andi. Install it as a motor by saying it to yourself again and again. So we've had a common level, which means how are you? But you can also ask that evil young Ali will be young. Are you well? Literally. Are you going well? Seva? Seva can be translated as is it all right? Are things all right, Seva? So you can vote comma in front of Seva, Remember? Common means How so common. So that means how is it going? Go? How are things? So have you seven young? So this means is it going well, said Bob Young, Or remember that the word to means everything. When instead of saying Sava, you can say to Libya too far beyond means is everything going well to Libya? And then there are numerous ways to answer the question. How are you? And so simply you can just say byoung young, which means fine or well, young. You can say Juve Byoung is your baby. Young means I'm doing well literally. It means I'm going well, several. Now the question seva means is it all right or things All right? Literally. Sava means it is going and you can enter the question seva with the phrase seven So one person can Zaitseva and you can answer it with somebody so Sava could be a question or an answer. Meaning is it all right or as an answer, things are going fine, Seva. You can put on the end of Seva Young so you can say celeb young things going well. Seven young family family. Well, we've seen path before, which means not and family means not bad. It's a family. Or is the name Pamela? You can say Sal Family. Seven months. The word mild literally means badly, so sad. Family means things are going badly. Sama military. It means it goes badly sad. That means it is going. You can make it negative by putting the words no and part around the VA. So Sat neuve ABBA means it is not going so Sandra baby on It's not going well. Well, things aren't going well. And just like when I said before, the Juno vapor can become June vapor well, Sanu of APA can become San Vap in speaking just to make it sound a bit more French. So the new will link up with the star in speaking San Bapa, Sandra Pub Young. It's not going well for things aren't going well. And so if you write down all those questions and all those answers on a cue card, what you could do is when you're in front or any French speaking country, try out a few different ones, so try common valuable the first time to mean how are you and then ask somebody else and even beyond, or you'll hear most often. Probably Sava, is that well? And you just answer it with Sava. We can even say we Sabah. Yes. Things going find re Seva. Or we said I'm young. You can even make that into a motor So you can say re Savimbi amassed evil. So means yes. Things are going well. Thank you. And you. 17. 3 Minute French Lesson 27.5b: As I said, you'll hear the expression Sava a lot. Literally. It means it goes so it's quite a simple phrase, but it's used toe. Ask how things are. Another useful thing about Seva is that you can put it in front of things to ask how they are, too. So names or the noun, for example, Some appear Slovakia means house Pierre or is P a dream? All right, said appear Savall. Apuuli means house the chicken or is a chicken all right side. Gallipoli. Serve alec out. Serve alcohol means How are the carrots or are the carrots? All right, Serve Alec out so you can put anything on the end off Sever to ask how it is. So that's how are you? And then the answers to those questions when in front. There are also numerous ways to say goodbye to somebody we've had over while over why, which means goodbye literally. That means well until we re see each other. Avoir voir means to see and avoir means to re see, so it's like until we see each other again, or what sell you sell. You restore means high, but it can also mean by so sell you could mean by in French. So avoir is goodbye cell you can just mean by his next word I do I do is a bit more final. It means goodbye forever. So sort of like in English. Farewell. I do literally add your means until God, the word do means God. And so it's a very final goodbye Means I'll see you with God. So add you it's farewell and a bientot we've already had means See you soon, Viento. Well, the, uh, in a bientot can report in front of any time expression to mean See you whenever, for example, our pluta a puta. Well, pluta means later. So Apple staff means See you later. I Landy, Uh, Lundy, We're Landy means Monday. So Alan D means see you on Monday. I lundy asked to swap, asked to swap. We've had to swear. And we know that that means tonight or this evening. So assets wa means. See you tonight. We'll see this evening. Yes. That's why I do, man. I do, man. This was quite a common phrase. Adama. The word demand means tomorrow. So Adama means to you tomorrow. Other mom Allah. Portion L A portion means See you next time. The word portion means next we get the word approaching from portion. If something's approaching that, it is going to come next. So Allah portion means See you next time Allah potion and at two, Tele at two. Tele means. See you shortly. The phrase at Tudela was used a lot during the Second World War, when the French and the English work together on and the English tried to copy this phrase to use with the French soldiers at Tudela. But it came out of it wrong, and they said to Lou, And that's where the old fashioned phrase in English to Lou to mean Goodbye came from a Tudela at $2 means see you shortly after Della. So right, all of the expressions from this little lesson down and use them as. And when you feel confident enough, you might just pick one way of saying, How are you on one way to say hello on one way to say goodbye. But if you learn all the expressions, at least you'll know what everybody else is saying around you. 18. 3 Minute French Lesson 28a: let's start this lesson with a quick recap off the words and phrases we learned in the last lesson. How do you say in French? Are you going that even How come on. Well, young, I'm going is your V I'm not going. How are you? Common Taliban and I'm fine. Is your baby on his useful phrase in French? Just three. Just three. It means I am Is your sweetie? I, um registry. So how would you say in French? I am here tomorrow Just three See the man Just We see the man on the s on the end of sweet can liaise with the I at the start of the sea And when you liaise an s with a vowel it sounds more like a zed than s so just squeeze Isi, just release edema. I'm here tomorrow. So rather than is your sweet PC doma, you can link the words together and say Just resist cinema. Hard to say I am Pierre. Is your sleep here? Just keep yeah or I am Marie. Just be melting. Just be mounting. How would you say hello? I am Pierre. Andi. I'd like a table for two. Please. Boo Jesse Pierre. Age of would rate in tablet for Dusty Ripley. You see, Pierre, Agent Booth, you in tablet deceive you play. And that s on the end of jubal time. You can if you want linked to the U at the start of Eun Ju Raising tablet Usual. Just appear a refrigerator and tablet produced group. Your next phrase in French. Is it it room? It means, Are you edible? So how would you say, Where are you? Who had room? Wait. Do. Well, how would you ask? Are you Marie at Emory at Emory? 19. 3 Minute French Lesson 28b: so that rule means are you? So how would you ask him? French? Are you Pierre at Rupiah at the rupiah? Remember how in the last lesson I said that commentary view means How are you or literally ? How are you doing? Well, you might be thinking that the question common it boo would mean. How are you two? Because common means how and Advil means are you while word for word? Yes. It does mean that however, you would never use it toe. Ask how somebody is feeding. Common at room is used to ask What do you look like? Literally. How interment of eye color, hair color personality are you? So just remember that when you're asking somebody how they're feeling, you use common review. So come on, it boom is used to mean What do you look like? Come on. Is how are you feeling, commentator? What do you don't like? Common Believe? How are you now? This next adjective Ochopee looked a bit like occupied and it means busy. Okay, so how would you say in French? I am busy. You just feel could be just be occupation or you can link the s on the end of sweet with the O Have a start of octopi and get it just frees up GP I'm busy. I just wish I could be Or literally I am occupied. How does I'm very busy. Just we trade okay, just we take okay or you can liaise the s on the end of today with the O at the start of octopi and you get to just beat title Could be just be title could be so in this lesson we've had just three meaning I am at you Which means Are you and occupancy meaning Busy? So how do you say I am too busy just to be told? Ok, just we talk, OK or you can put the p on the O together in speaking just to be top of group B. Just be toppled. Could be means I'm too busy. I'm busy tomorrow. Just reoccupied the mom Just three occupation demand we can say just was a key paid the man 20. 3 Minute French Lesson 28c: How would you ask him? French. Are you busy at work? Okay, it won't or could be. Or you can say that. DeVos occupation. How would you say in French? It's busy. Say OK. Say ok or the T on the end of C You can link with the O at the start of Oak Bay and get Sadaaki be It isn't very busy. Soon a bat Trey Ochopee in a battle could be or the s On the end of time you can liaise with the O Sunni Pat Treasure QP. Sony Patrick could be Well, I would say it's always busy here. Say to your ok, pasty, Say to your occupation, etc. Or said to Shiozaki. Pacey, how would you say Pierre is busy tomorrow? Pierre, Eh? Occupied a man, Pierre, eh? Occupation, demand or the word A ends in a t. So you can liaise with the Omen Octopi. Pierre It okay? Paid a man Piazza Tokyo Piterman his word that looks similar to fatigued in English fatty, gay fatty game. It means tired fat in gay. So how would you say I am very tired? Is your street trey fatigue? Just try fatigue a or are you tired? It would fatigue a its roof at the game. Pierre is too tired, Pierre. A top fatigue. Pierre A tow fatigue A. I'm always tired. You just read to your fatigue. A You just read to your fatty a 21. 3 Minute French Lesson 28d: Here's your next word in French. Pressey Pressey. It means in a hurry. Pressey. It almost looks like pressed for time. Pressey. So how would you say in French? I'm in a hurry. You just be Plessy. You just keep Plessy Or are you in a hurry? It's crazy. It will. Prissy. Now we've had I am just three. And are you at? Well, here's the next phrase L A Really, it means he is L. A. We've also seen this word when we were discussing telling the time in French where it can mean it is for example, twas er it is three o'clock literally. What you're saying is he is three o'clock on that he is referring to Mr Time so l a means he is. So how to say he is here tomorrow You say you see the man L a You see the man on the tee at the end of a you can link with the I at the start off you see and say lettuce in a man. You let it feed them on. Or how would you say he is too busy It a tall or Kobe It a tall oak bay or a topic you pay . He is there. You Leela, You know. So l a is. He is on this next phrase, Ellie. A a means she is any. How would you say she is here tomorrow and they see the man. L A s c the man. And again you can put the tea on the end of a with the I started E c and say a lettuce. Idema. A little humor. She is here tomorrow. How would you say she is there? Anila? Laila. 22. 3 Minute French Lesson 28e: in this lesson, we've learned a few more adjectives. However, if you want to say something like she is busy, you need to know the feminine version of the adjective Ochopee. So here, the masculine and feminine variants off the three adjectives that we've learned in this lesson. So OK means busy and for the feminine version or you do is at an E could be on. It's pronounced exactly the same, so there's no difference in speaking only in writing. You have Remember to add an extra E to the end of occupation. Okay, okay, the best and the same. The same goes with the world for tired, fatty gay. If you add an extra E on the end, it's still pronounced fatty, so fatty gay on fatty gay are the masculine and feminine version off tired. And so, in speaking, you know I don't remember anything, but in writing, just remember to add an extra E if it's feminine and then in a hurry. Pressey Pressey again. If you add an E, it's dope announced pricey, and that's the feminine version. So Presti and Pressey are the masculine and feminine words for in a hurry, you'll notice a similarity between the feminine versions off these adjectives, they all just end in an E. And so with any adjective that ends in an e with an accent on top like occupation. Fatty, you just add an extra e to make it feminine easy. So how would you say in French? He is busy eating a Ochopee or a late? Okay. And how would you say she is been in a okay or any took? You pay? He is tired. It effectively. You leave fatty game. She is tired. Any fatty g? Any fatty gay? He is in a hurry. Really? Pressey l A Pressey. She is in a hurry. L a Pressey any pussy. So for the adjectives OK, fatty gay and Pressey, The masculine and feminine version is both sound exactly the same or you have to remember to do in writing is add that extra e to the end. If it's feminine 23. 3 Minute French Lesson 28f: So you use the masculine versions off addicted with masculine things like delay, which means he is, or even with names. Pierre A means Pierre is and use the feminine form of the adjectives with feminine noun or family phrases. So you use the masculine versions off addicted with masculine things like delay, which means he is, or even with names. Pierre A means Pierre is and use the feminine form of the adjectives with feminine noun or family phrases like L. A. She is. So how do you say in French? Pierre is busy. The F a o Q. B or Pierre a Tokyo Bay Maria's busy Marry a Ochopee or marry a talk you pay. Pierre is tired. Pierre A fatty, gay Pierre A fatty gay Marie is tired. Marry a fatty game. Murphy A fatty gay Pierre is in a hurry. Yeah, a prissy Pierre, Eh, Pressey? Murray is in a hurry. Murray, a prissy marry a prissy. So in this lesson we've had is just three, which means I am. It's true means are you okay? Is busy. You need to put an E on the end. You get Ochopee, which is feminine version off. Busy Patty Gay is tired. Fact, I gave you an extra e is the feminine version of tired Pressey means in a hurry and pressed a with an extra e is in a hurry. The feminine version l A means he is. And any means she is is the opposite off just three junior suite Jenna three path. It means I am not junior sweeper. And again, just like when we said junior vapor can be pronounced June v EPA Well, genius people, you can link the dinner with the azure and you get agency bar. I'm not. So you haven't got to. It just makes you sound a bit more French. So journalist, sweet bar or regions people I'm not. So I would say I'm not here tomorrow. Jenna, sweep at you See the man we can bring me No sound a bit closer to the Genesee Pat PC demand And again the s on the end of power. You can liaise with the I at the start of e c and say juicy Patty Silverman Regency Positive the man. I'm not here tomorrow 24. 3 Minute French Lesson 28g: How do you say in French? I'm not Pierre Genest. Repap. Pierre Origin three Poppaea. I'm not busy. Genesee Pat Octopi or agency power could pay. We can link the S at the end of path Agency PASOK u p I'm not tired. Agency Poverty. Jensby path fatigue A. I'm not in a hurry, Gina. Three pap. I stay origin three. Pat Christie. Now, if your female on you're saying all the sentences we've just had Make sure you remember to use the feminine versions off the adjectives in speaking it make no difference. But if you're writing it, don't forget to put the e on the end. So junior suite bafta TG. I'm not tired with tired in the feminine. So in speaking, it's not so vital because all the adjectives we've had in this lesson occupancy, fatty, presi sound exactly the same. In both the masculine unfeminine versions. It's only the written adjective that looks different. So we had a way. Means he is Well, here's the opposite. Your neighbor, your neighbor, meaning he isn't. And so you might be able to guess the opposite off A in Naper in the past means she isn't so. Your labor and Ed Knippa. Well, if you remember in the very, very first lesson in course one we had Sunni ba, which meant it isn't. What if you change the sir to hell for he or l for she That's where the u Naper. He isn't on l Naper. She isn't come from. So how would you say in French? He isn't here tomorrow. In a part. You see the man or in a posy? Cinnamon. She isn't Marie In the primary l A primary. She isn't tired in a property, a neighbor fatigue a 25. 3 Minute French Lesson 28h: How do you say in Italian? She's very tired in a tray for D A. A tray. Fatigue A. She's not in a hurry in the Papacy, In the back. Chrissy, he isn't busy in a puzzle. Kewpie in a puzzle could pay if we switch around the words in a enjoy them together with a hyphen. Sean J. Marcus A year and change the reservation a live oceanology Laughter is the best. 40. 3 Minute French Lesson 30c: Now, if you take the VEB, Sean Gee, and put a little bit at the start of it, then we get Look, Shinji, Lucian j means to change it. Never seen this before in the last course where we put in front of things like your levels . Hi. I would like it. And so when you put look in front of any verb than it means it. So look, Sean ji means to change it. So how would you say in French? I'm going to change it tomorrow. Vada Sean Gentleman, you've a Lucio Majeed Ahmad. So as I said, we've seen this before putting a look in front of a verb. If we have things like is your limb, it means I like it julep affair. I prefer it, Julia. I would like it so you can put in front of any verb to mean it. However, you know how french now owns can either be masculine or feminine. Well, the it can change depending on what it's referring to. For example, if you want to say, can I change it? And you're talking about changing a reservation, then the it would be feminine because the word reservation has a costume is feminine in French. The feminine word for it infringes. Laugh. So just like the word there blue is the masculine and LA is the feminine. Therefore, you would say Please your lash orangey to mean. Can I change it if you're referring to a reservation? So every time you want to put it with a verb, I think is it masculine or feminine and use low for masculine on DLA for feminine? His two example sentences. Can I change it when you're talking about a reservation? Would be, please your LaShawn Ge. This is because reservation or has a restaurant is feminine creature. LaShawn gee, But then can I change it? Meaning the coat would be pretty solution. And this is because coat is masculine. Look, Montel means the coat. So please your LaShawn J. We can change it, referring to a feminine thing, and Resolution J means cannot change it, referring to a massive anything. So just to clarify, look or LaShawn ji means to change it. So how would you say in French? I have a reservation, but I would like to change it. Jay, you know, the last major would relax energy. Jay, you know has a vast major Bowdre last. I have this coat, but I would like to change it. Jason, Jason. 41. 3 Minute French Lesson 30d: How would you say in French? I'm going to pay it if you're referring to the bill. Juve elope Juve a lap. And so the pay a means to pay on to pay It can either be Lupe yer or Lappi. But because the word for the bill is feminine lady, Soon when you say Lappi Juve a lot and just a little hint Any word in French that ends in T i o n So far we've had has ever assume and I d soon or in fact, anywhere that ends in just i o n so television they're all feminine So that always been loved so dearly. Visio, I think, soon has a vast young are all feminine. So the word for the isla or the word for our is Yoon. But Juve, a lap baby means I'm going to pay it. If you're talking about the bill, how would you say, can I pay it? Usually paying Pregent paying. And so here I've used low because I haven't told you what we're referring to. Here's another word with Luke in front of it. However, with this word, the lure shortens to l apostrophe because the verb starts with a vowel less than you, less than a year when we've had essay a means to try. And so let's say you must mean to try concerning this lesson. So far, we've had stolen Norm. Do in the name off Jay has LV, I have reserved or I have booked Sean G to change Look or LaShawn J means to change it. If you're talking about a masculine thing, you say Lucian J. And if you're talking about a feminine thing, you say lashing regime look or lack, begging means to pay it or to pay for it and less a yea means to try it. If you put look or lot in front of their that starts with a vowel, it becomes L apostrophe like in less than you. So with these verbs, it doesn't really matter whether you're talking about a masculine or feminine object because you can't tell anyway. So whether it's Luke s, a Orla s au the LE or LA becomes abbreviated to l apostrophe, so you can't tell anyway. So how are you saying French? Can I try it credulous? A year pre jealous a year? Or how would you say I would like to try it less than a 42. 3 Minute French Lesson 30e: How do you say in French? I'm going to try it. Have a listen Juve lesson You Are you going to try it? Do you have a table for two? 58. 3 Minute French Lesson 32a: Let's start this lesson with a quick recap off the words and phrases we learned in the last lesson. Have you say in French what could to order come Monday? Do you want level to drink blast today? Oh, so do we to eat Muji. Now you're amalgamated quite a collection of French words and phrases, and you've started to learn how to put them together to build sentences. What we're going to start doing now is learning how to speak more quickly and without having to think so hard. I'm going to introduce you to a technique called building structures. This will start to help to clarify the different structures of the French language as well as make it more like a reflex. This means you'll be able to speak naturally and not have to think everything through like it's a math equation. Building structures. The whole of the French language is made up of different structures of words. If you know the words on, do you know which order to put them in? You can speak the language in the whole language. There are only a handful of different structures, and in this lesson we're going to learn the 1st 1 Structure one. This first structure is one that you've already met. Although at the time I didn't tell you it was an important French structure. It consists of just three parts on here is an example of it in use. Valley view. Mongie. What do you want to eat? Cover. Leave, Margie. So let's break this structure down into its three components and give each component of name means what? And it's a question Would of level means do you want And this is called infinitive carrier . We look at what that means in a minute and more j means to eat on. This is an infinitive. So you've seen all three parts. We've learned that before. Now you know what they call a question word. An infinitive carrier on an infinitive. Good of will evil Muji. So those are the three components. A question would an infinitive carrier andan infinitive You may be wondering, what on earth is an infinitive and an infinitive carrier? Well, an infinitive is just a verb. A verb is a word you comport to in front of for example, to eat, to drink, to speak, to smoke, to go to be to hear, to arrive, to leave on infinitive Carrier is anywhere. Do you comport an infinitive on the end off? So they carry the infinitive in English. We have things like I would like or do you want or I'm going because you comport infinitives on the end of these, for example, I would like to eat. I would like to drink. I would like to go. Or do you want to leave? Do you want to call? Do you want to eat? Or I'm going to arrive. I'm going to go. I'm going to dance. We can change any of the three parts in this structure. For example, instead of saying Coco at the start, which means what we could change it. To whom? Meaning where So Cookeville evil Margene means. What do you want to eat? But we can change it to do volleyball, McGee Meaning? Where do you want to eat? Or we could change it to come. Which means when conch will evolve. Margie, when do you want to eat? Did you notice how the rest of the structure stayed the same? The votive room Andrzej part didn't OTA at all. Just because you've changed the question where that start. So that's three question. Where's we could use at the start of structure one? Meaning where could meaning what and calm meaning when. Let's add a few more infinitives, Andi infinitive carriers So we can really start to manipulate this structure. 59. 3 Minute French Lesson 32b: using structure one. Here's a list off a few question words. A few infinitive carriers on quite a few infinitives. What we're going to do is use this list of words to get used to structure one by making up some questions. You can write these lists down and then use them throughout the course. So here are five question woods. Oh, means where you could could we've already had. This one means what could Akello Akello means at what time I get at one time. Comb comb means when comb and common common means how common. Next, we have three infinitive carriers. We've already had believe you valuable. Which means Do you want, well, evil? We're here to more pressure. Please, Asia means Can I please Asia and Oliver Oliver means Are you going? I live so there's a three infinitive carries we're going to be using. And now let's do a slightly longer list off infinitives. Remember these just verbs on in English, all verbs and stop. So with the work to like to eat and to drink in French, you'll notice all these verbs either end in that is e R R E or I R. Let's have a look at some infinitives. Margie Muji means to eat mosey. Wow, Why means to drink Waas Common day Common day means to older commonly s au stu means to try s Ince pay a hey, you means to pay Ben you fair Fair means to do or to make fair has two meanings. No way. Louis means to hire Ali Ali means to go Ali Ponder Ponder means to take Ponder have wives have while means tohave have well And Sean G. Shunji means to change Sharji. The reason I've put the two in brackets on all of these words in the infinitive list is because sometimes in English we say the to. But other times we miss it off. For example, what do you want to do? So we say that you in that sentence, what do you want to do? But then, if we change the infinitive carrier, what can I do in English that were too disappears? What can I do? That's because certain infinitive carriers require the word to with the infinitive and other invented quite carriers don't 60. 3 Minute French Lesson 32c: So what we can do with this first structure is start to build up questions using the three parts. The question Would an infinitive carrier Andi an infinitive? How do you say in French, Where can I pay? Mm pre Jha. Peggy Who? Precipitation. What can I eat? Could you please Mong Cook Persia. Mongie. Where do you want to eat? Overly Mongie, who would? Even more. What do you want to drink? Could would Eva y quivered even wife? What are you going? Toe order? Caliber. Commonly caliber. Come Monday. Just note that the word cho shortens to a Q U apostrophe when you put it in front of a word that starts with a vowel or a hate each. So the word ali starts with a vowel, and so you shorten, occur to qu apostrophe. This just makes it easier to say it's easier to say Cal evoke Omondi, then cook and evil common day, So caribou common D By building questions using structure one, you'll not only get yourself more familiarized with the vocabulary and structure, but you'll also without even trying, reduced the time it takes for you to string a sentence together in French for example, if I say How do you say, What are you going to do? Well, you might firstly think it through slowly. What could are you going? A level to do Fair and you'll realise that could in front of an A becomes qu apostrophes and you've got Cal Evil Fair, but you'll be thinking it through Step by step. Callie. Full fare. This is normal at first, but the more you say the structures out loud, the more quickly you'll be able to think them. And it'll sound what's more natural and you'll reach fluency much more quickly. So Ghalib Affair, What are you going to do? How would you say in French? How do you want to pay common view? Peggy Common Believe will pay you. What can I try? Kurt? Preacher s a capris? Yes, a year now. So far, I've said that the first structure is made up of three parts. However, there is 1/4 part, which I'll call extra information. We can learn more about this in the next section. 61. 3 Minute French Lesson 32d: extra information. The fourth part off structure one is simply extra information such as noun, adjectives, adverbs, time word, etcetera. We can add the extra information onto the end off the question toe ad. Well, extra information, for example. Cookeville, leave Oman. J. Meant, What do you want to eat? But we could say Kurt would evil Margie Mr. Swell, this means What do you want to eat tonight? So so soir means tonight could believe Oman Jesus for Or who believe Marge edema. So overly warm. Andrzej means Where do you want to eat? On we add the word Daman, which means tomorrow on the end. Where do you want to eat tomorrow? Over. Even more there are Or Kurt would leave affair mental. What do you want to do now? The word mantle means now cover legal, fair mental. We've already had a few question words, a few infinitive carriers and quite a few infinitives. So here are some extra information words that you can use on the end of your questions. Do Mom Demon means tomorrow Demon Oh, Chaudhry. Oh, your d means today. This is why it's just wow means tonight, says Wa Montel. Mental means now Montana. Pretty Dow's please Means later spewed out a bevy at belly. This could mean to Paris or in Paris, up Bali on farms on first. Similarly, this come in two fronts or inference on forms. Just a little note. The word means to or in in front, off towns and cities. For example, a path E to Paris or in Paris or or at Niece Teunisse Or in this on the word own means to or in in front of countries. So on force is two fronts or inference on only there to England or in England, on Espana, on Italy. So our is to or in in front of towns and cities, whereas own means to or in in front off countries. Oh, Avesta home. Oh, esta home means at the restaurant or to the restaurant. Oh, Avesta home the poorly look poorly means the chicken look poorly. Lamont. Oh, who's lamento goes means the red coat. Lamont the walls literally in French. You say the coat, which is red. Lamento on B A and be a means a ticket on B A. Bo Pierre for Pierre means for Pierre Pop. Yeah, and you see you see means here, you see? So now you're armed with some extra information words. You can make your questions a little more adventurous. So how will you say in French what you going to do now? Caliber. Fair mental. I can't even feel mental or what you going to do for Pierre can leave ufap appear caliber affair propia Even if you don't get these questions very quickly, it doesn't matter. You can think through them. Step by step, and eventually you will start to speed up. At first it will be slow, and it will seem like it's a math equation where you're going through step by step. What could are you going any evil to do? Fair for Pierre Pop here. But eventually it'll start to get quicker, and the more you say the same structures over and over again in the more fluent you'll start to become. How do you say in French? What time do you want to eat? Later? A killer believe Umar's Chipata Makayla believe Rita 62. 3 Minute French Lesson 32e: manipulating structure. One. You can manipulate structure one in many different ways. For example, you can take certain bits out to make different types of questions. You don't always have to stick all three parts together. Let's see what happens when you don't put the question word on, for example. So these next sentences don't have question words? How do you say in French? Do you want to eat of Liviu Muji? I would even Mongie Do you want to eat? Do you want to eat here? Really? Voumard JST relieving J. C. Are you going to pay and even pay you? I'll even pay you. Do you want to pay the bill now? Really Hope a lot. Issue Montana Ulivo. Pay a Montana. Now let's see what happens if you don't put an infinitive in the end. So just using the question word on the infinitive carrier. How do you say in French? What do you want? Quibble, Evil quibble. Evil? What actually is an infinitive? I said, You're on in the course that the word infinitive just means verb. However, it's specifically the whole Web, which in English usually has the word to in front of it. But not always as we've seen in French infinitives will always end in either the letters e r I, uh o r e So far in French, we've had more J to eat. Wow, to drink, common day toe order. They say you to try hey, hey to pay fair, which means to do all to make away, to hire pond to take of well to have and sure G meaning to change. Also, let me just add here a good way to learn all this new vocabulary is to use cue cards. If you get some little cue cards, you can. You define them in stationary shops, but you can also just get pieces of paper and call them up into small squares if you use cue cards and write a list off the French words. So Margie, while Calmund etcetera down the center, turn the cue card over and then write the English on the other side, so to eat, to drink to order etcetera. What you can do is use those cue cards to learn the words when you go through your cue cards. Only look at the English words and so you'll see to eat and then try and think about. What is that in French? Margie to drink. Wow. And this will start to help to build your active vocabulary. If you do this and put the words down on cue cards, which is a very useful tip, then try and look at the cue cards once a day only for a few seconds, and it'll really help me to memorize the Wiz. Seven infinitive is the verb in its whole form, which in English usually has the word to in front of it. Andi in French ends in the letters E R i R or R E singing Notice all the words that returns for all the and finishes we don't so far end in those letters. 63. 3 Minute French Lesson 32f: But what actually is an infinitive carrier? An infinitive carrier is basically a word or an expression that can be followed by an infinitive. I've given you a few French invented to carry. So far we've had pleasure. Meaning? Can I? I leave you. Meaning are you going and believe? I mean, do you want Andi? You can put any infinitive on the end of these infinitive carriers to make your question for structure one. So if you look at just Are you going? Are you going to eat? Are you going to drink? Are you going to pay? Are you going to go? Are you going to try? There are a few more inventive carriers that your meat in later lessons and they made life much easier. And finally, what actually is a question word? What a question. Where doesn't really need much exclamation? It's easier just to say what they are. So far, we've only looked at five question words. There's only a small number of question where's altogether, So what we'll do is learn the more now. So if you get a cue card, you could write these question words down. You haven't got to, but it's a good way of learning them. So we've got mm mm. Meaning where crew could meaning What could que no Akello meaning At what time? Hello, cool comb. Meaning when fun. Come on, Come on. Which means how common kill can meaning which or which one Pacquiao Pacquiao Meaning Why Pacquiao Cumbia come young Which means how much or how many commune come beyond the tone Commander Time means how long, literally Communist Tom means how much time, combi, undertone and key key Which means who or whom there's no difference in French key. So those are the question words in French. So using those How would you say in French? What do you want to do? Could believe affair? Could one evil fair? How would you want to pay the bill? Common Will common believe Obey Well, which one do you want? Kelly. Believe you. Can you believe you? Why do you want to hire a call? Pacquiao believe we wait in Watcher pork What? We've all the way you invite you How much do you want to eat? Come beyond belief. Come beyond Where can I hire a car who push away in Watcher a bridge away and watcher. When you want to eat convoluted, What time can I go? A killer. Usually I kill up. Usually the word act gala in English. Sometimes we say at what time, but more often than not, re just say what time. So Akeelah means what time or at what time, literally. 64. 3 Minute French Lesson 32g: que. Which one the question would kill can change in French, depending on what it is referring to. There were four versions. Kill, kill, kill and kill. They all sound the same. So in speaking, you haven't got to worry. But in writing, you'll know this slight differences, and so kill means which or which one when it's referring to masculine mounds. So it's masculine, singular. Noun is Gil Kill with an S on the end means which or which ones and this one refers to masculine plural gnomes kill with an L E only and is the feminine singular version, which means which or which one in front of family feminine, singular knowns and kill with the L es and end is the feminine plural version. So it means which or which ones in front of feminine plural gnomes. So you use, kill or kill when you're referring to single ounce. That means when there's only one of something and you use, kill or kill with the S is on the end. When you're referring to floor announce, that means when there's more than one off something. So, for example, let's look at four different sentences. Kill Montalto, Beliveau quel momento believe this means Which coat do you want? Kill mont over. Leave you in the plural. The word Montel means coat. But when you put an X on the end, that's the plural meaning coats. So tell Montel believe women's which coats do you want Kill what you believe Kill that you believe in what girl means car And it's a feminine word So kill what you believe you means which cardy won't kill What you believe and kill what you believe you with an s on the end off kill and watcher makes it plausible Kill what you believe amines which cause do you want kill what you believe That's kidding. 65. 3 Minute French Lesson 32h: Colombia How much the word communion means how much or how many when it's by itself. However, when you put a noun on the end of it, it changes to Colombia. Do so. Cumbia means how much or how many combi Ando plus a noun means how much or how many men you put the now in the end, for example, come beyond believe you come beyond. Believe what this could mean. How much do you want or how many different come beyond believe? But if you put it now on the end. Cumbia, Devon, believe Colombian deva vu. Well, this means how much wind you want, so you have to put a little would do after communion before you put the noun calm. Yonder Van Ulivo literally. The little dirt when you're speaking almost sounds. If it disappears, calm beyond for miles relieve. But is there they just touch upon its like come beyond for miles. Vamp Come beyond the vamp reservoir. 70. 3 Minute French Lesson 32m: more words. Seeing as we've now learned all the question words, we may as well learn a few more inventive carriers and infinitives, and then we can start making all questions for structure. Want to our heart's content. So all the question words were, mm, meaning where good? Meaning what a killer meeting at what time comb meaning when come on, meaning how again? Which means which or which one book, Wow, Meaning why cumbia? Which means how much or how many, commander tone, meaning, how long or literary? How much time and key, which could mean both, Who and whom? Let's look at some infinitive carriers now, then. So we've already had pre Jha meaning can I? But if we change it to pull a view poor baby boom, that means can you pull able? Can you? I believe you was Do you want? And Olivo was, Are you going guaje wiser means do I have to? Or most I Dresher Driedger, and you can change this slightly, too. Do v vou do evil, which means do you have to almost you, DeVivo said. Wager and do evil. So if you want to write those infinitive carriers down on a cue card. Then pause the video, put the French words down the center of the cue card on one side on the English word, down the center of the cue card on the other side, and then to practice only ever. Look at the English words and try and remember what the French words were. Now let's add some more infinitives, so we've already had more G meaning to eat. Buatta, Meaning to drink common day, meaning toe order s a meaning to try. Pay you meaning to pay fair, which means to do or to make Liu Wei meaning to hire Ali, which means to go ponder meaning to take have what, which means to have sharji meaning to change. 71. 3 Minute French Lesson 32n: Now let's add some more infinitives. Ash day ash day means to buy ash day. Kommen sie comerci means to start it sort of. It was like commence common. See, it ETA means to be it. But dear, back here means to leave. It looks similar to to depart back here. So, dear sort here means to go out Saudia up off the up off day means to bring about a day de ponsi de poncey means to spend as in to spend money, diplomacy. So there's some new infinitives for you on. Did you want to write those onto a cue card? Put the English down the middle. You might need two or three Q cause for all these infinitives, But put the English down the middle and then the French on the other side. That's practiced those new words. How do you say in French When you want to leave, call or leave a Battier convoy level. Battier, Whom are you going to see? Key and evil. Vile key and evil. What can I bring? Cuprija. Apathy Cook, please. Apathy. Where you going to stay tonight. Who? And evil That stays the swap Well, Evo Estates, The swat. Whom can I call key? Free Jap early. Keep re Jap early. 72. 3 Minute French Lesson 32o: turning it all negative. There's one more useful thing that you can do to this structure quite easily. Make it negative. You can change the infinitive carriers from positives neck negative quite easily. In English, for example, you can say, Why are you going to Paris? In the positive and in the negative, you can say Why aren't you going to Paris? Or can I go with you? Occurs? Why can't I go with you? When can you do it? When can you do it in English? It simply a matter of putting a little NT after the verb. Well, it's almost a simple in French too. We have to do to turn the infinitive carriers negative is put unearth in front of it and apart after it. For example, I leave you means are you going now? Leave Lupu means aren't you going? You can do this with any of the infinitive carriers in the question form. Have a look at these. No appreciable means cont. I know Pooja Pop Napo. Viva papa means can't you know pooper? Novalee Bouba means Don't you want it? Now let's do a structure. One outline on the left. You've got all the question words Then on the next calling. You've got some of the infinitive carriers. Then you've got a few infinitives on some extra information just so you can have a go at building some sentences and questions yourself. The more practice you do, the more quickly you will be able to use this structure on, the more confident you'll get at speaking French. One thing that I have done when using these structures are trying to memorize these structures is to pick one phrase. For example, where can I eat tomorrow? Who please your Monge a demon and say it to myself over and over again. You put your Monge edema, who put your Monge edema? And then, as I'm saying it, try and change one thing. And so instead of saying, Where can I eat tomorrow? I could change it and say, What can I eat tomorrow? So who? Puigdemont edema opens your Monge edema Coop Region. Monge edema on by changing one little bit of time. And then I say, cope with moderate amount a few times and try and change another thing. What can I eat today? Corporation. Monge edema Computer model of the mind Cook Vision, Montreal Jodi. Then it just gets the words to flow off your tongue a bit more easily, and it helps your brain to start to register the pattern 76. 3 Minute French Lesson 33a: Here's your first phrase for this lesson. J Common Day J Common Day. It means I have ordered or I ordered J Common Day. The reason I put the have in brackets is because in English there is more than one way to translate Jake Omondi in English. You can say either I ordered the chicken or I have ordered the chicken. However, in French, both these sentences would be the same J common data pool J Common Day. So how would you say in French? I've ordered a bottle of wine J Common day in boot data Von J Common Day in boot. A divine I ordered a coffee, but it isn't here. Jake. Oh, Monday on Cafe Me J Common Day on Cafe Maze. Napisy I ordered a red wine, but I would like to change it. J Common Day on Van holds May June J Common Day and one whose major boatwright of fungi I've ordered the chicken J common Jaco Mandela Poorly. I ordered for Pierre Jacob Monday Propia Jacob Monday propia I ordered a wine, but it isn't here. J. Commandant J. Commandant, you might be able to guess what this next phrase means as It's made up of words we've already seen. Above all, Babu. It means for you. Bellevue. So how would you say in French? It's a little bit more polite than just by itself. But you'll hear French people using both. So you can say Papa Moi or non but from one to mean Not for me. So how would you say in French? Not for me. Thank you. Non Papa. Mom s t No Papa Mama. See? Or how to say I ordered the chicken. Not the Turkey j commonly known Poland J Common pool Or how would you say? Appear is your next phrase for this lesson. J. Moore G Jame O. J. It means I have eaten or I eight j. Margie. So here is another example of where in English there is more than one way to talk about the past. For example, you can say I ate the chicken or I have eaten the chicken. Puffy Cassidy, Buffy. How would you say, how much was the breakfast when French to say, How much is something you say? Stay calm, young. Which means it is How much where do you want to say, how much was something you simply say? It was how much said they come young. So how do you say, how much was the breakfast said They come younger pretty, Ginny said. They come beyond a pretty Virginie, so the phrase city come young can be used in the exact same way as, say, cumbia. So if you could remember, sitcom Young by itself could mean How much is it? But you can put something on the end of stickum young, and you can say something like, say, communion live on. How much is the wine? Well, city come young can be used in the same way you can use it by itself. City cumbia means how much was it? Or you can put something on the end of it and say city come beyond. How much was the wine 79. 3 Minute French Lesson 33d: So in this lesson so far we've had Jake Omondi, which means I ordered or I have ordered above all means for you. How do you say in French? I ordered is a common day. I ate J Margie for you Bubble no number it Waas city It wasn't Senate IPA was if they wasn't neti pot yesterday. Yeah, here's a useful phrase in French La meme shows La meme shows it means the same thing latte , meme shores The word men means same and shores means thing. So how do you say in French I would like the same thing. June drill. Mm shows Jude Law meme shows I have ordered the same thing. Jacob Mandela meme shows J Common Day lamb m shows Can I order the same thing? Political Monday 11 shows Pretty common element shows the same thing for me. Please. Lemon shows Poor Masi will play Lanham shows Promise you play. I ate the chicken yesterday. Andi, I've ordered the same thing today. James J. Pooley. Yeah. A common L A member shows also J Mongella Pool. Yeah. Is a common L A member shows in French. If you want to say the same thing as somebody you have to use the word cook for as, for example, Lamb M Shores could appear means the same thing as Pierre. So now we've seen that cook can mean more than one thing in a question. It means what and now it can also mean, as you can put anything on the end of. For example, Lemon shows could be means the same thing as him. LA Meme shows Kill means the same thing. As her said. The word could shortens to Q U apostrophe in front of a vowel. That's why you get killed. Lemon shows Kabul means the same thing as you lambing shows. More means the same thing as me. So how would you say in French I would like the same thing as you MM shows. 87. 3 Minute French Lesson 34b: How would you say in French? I have ordered the same thing as Marie J Common day. Mm. Shows Jake a model, and I'm sure can I order the same thing? Is him political model? Mm shows could be pretty common Deylam m shows Clearly I would like the same thing as yesterday. Giavotella meme shows Kia Jabril tray lambing shows Kia. So the word shortens to qu apostrophe in front of vows. And also that I hate. That's because in French letter hate is always silent. And so it's treated as a vowel. Jubal Daley. Mm. Shows key air. Well, how would you ask? Do you want the same thing as me? Livilla name shows more relieve land ensures. Come on. I go to order the same thing as me and even common deal. Mm shows. Come on. I live a common element shows. Come on, I'm going to do the same thing today as yesterday. You've a fellow. Mm. Shozo Kia juvie fella. Meme shows also week here. I'm not going to All of the same thing is Marie because I don't like it. Paco Mandela, Jimmy Paco Manila meme shows so he a common day ends in an e R. And that's because it means to order after phrases such as juvie, which means I'm going June vapor. I'm not going, Jubal. I would like pre Jha. Can I? I leave you. Are you going of level? Do you want? You always use the whole verb that ends in an e. R in French when I are or in our e so common d ends in an e r to order. So that's why we say June V back, Ormandy. I'm not going to order, whereas in the past we have the phrase J common day, which means I have ordered or I ordered. So the common day in the phrase J Common Day ends in an E with an acute accent. Jacob Monday. And that's a feature of the past tense that you'll see quite a lot. We'll talk about this in more detail in a later lesson, but I just wanted to point out the difference between common day meeting to order and J Common D, which means I have ordered. And so the J Common Day ends in the E with the acute accent. But in speaking, they sound exactly the same. The common day with an e. R. On the common day with an accident sounds no different. This is the same with the vague to eat Mosher means to eat. J. Margie means I have eaten or I ate. So in speaking the word more J meaning to eat on the word moon Jae in the phrase J. Margie found the same. I am writing to eat in French. More J ends in an e R, whereas in the past more J. J. Mongie. It ends in an E with acute accent. 88. 3 Minute French Lesson 34c: and goes give you two words now that have the same meaning but are used in flight different ways. The first is on auto and water and the second is Uncle Uncle. They both mean another an auto uncle. So in French, both on ultra and uncle can be used to mean another. You can't use whichever one you please whenever you want. There are slight differences between the two. Let's look at two sentences. Judy, you know, trouble stayed. Yvonne, you will dry. You know, talk about a divine. This means I would like another bottle of wine. You would write on car in boot. A divine you would write on call in potato van. This sentence also means I would like another bottle of wine. But the first sentence Gerald raise you. Not a beauty. The wrong means. I would like another bottle of wine, meaning a different sort. So if you had red wine, then you might want white wine. You would rise on Cohen. But a devil means I would like another bottle of wine the same sort. So firstly, notice how the arm becomes Yoon in. You know tha if it's referring to a feminine thing. So you've got unaltered and you Notre, depending on whether you're faring to a masculine or feminine thing. Secondly, the phrase unaltered or in oughta, is used when you want another type of something, whereas Uncle is used when you want another off the same type, literally on car means again. So what you're really saying is, I would like again a bottle of wine. Juve. Try Zanca. You bought a divine also because it means again you can say things like, Did you vote ties on car lamb M shoes? I would like the same thing again. Literally. I would like again the same thing. So if you're drinking some wine and you re liked it and you would like another bottle of the same wine, you would say Jude, right, ankle boot a divine I would like another bottle of wine, the same one. However, if you're drinking some wine and you don't like it and you would like another bottle of wine but a different type, you would say Juve dies. You know, towboat a divine. I would like another bottle of wine, a different thought. So how would you say in French? Do you want to know the bottle on your referring to the same sort. Liviu on Cohen Bouquet. Liviu Unca in bouquet. But how would you say, Do you want from the bottle? As in Do you want another bottle? A different bottle. I believe you know trouble today. I believe you. Notable day. 89. 3 Minute French Lesson 34d: How would you say in French, I would like the same thing again. Judy Ryan column M shows Joe Dresden column m shows So the word on car can mean another. Who, again, when it means either of these you put it in front, off Whatever you want again. So little your same French I would like again the same thing. You will die, Anca Lamine shows Well, how would you said you wanted to the t believe Wonka And day we live with Uncle Dante. A little edgy once again A t I really want government. How would you say this in French? You might need this phrase. Um Verre do which means a glass off so unfair means a glass in French. So how would you say I'm going to have another glass of water? Jubei, Ponte Bianco Hamdan. Do you have a point or uncle on Vale? Do so in this lesson. So far we've had lambing shows, meaning the same thing. Lemon shows could be the same thing as him. La meme show skin the same thing as her lemon shows. Come watch. The same thing is me. La meme shows goo the same thing as you lambing shows compere the same thing as Pierre uncle, which means another when you want the same type or it can also mean again And it goes in front of whatever it is you want again and daughter And you Notre I mean another when you want a different type. So how about the same French? Are you going to order another bottle of wine? Meaning a different type. I leave you come one day. You know, tribute. A divine and even common day. You know, tribute a divine or how would you say, Are you going to order another bottle of wine? Meaning the same time. An evil common day on column, but a divine and even common day uncle in about a divine 90. 3 Minute French Lesson 34e: How do you say in French? Do you want another coffee? We believe one car and cafe. I believe we don't go on. Coffee is your final phrase for this lesson. It's a nice phrase that you comport at the beginning. Go on the end of things to be polite. See staple Syria. See suppose evil. It means, if it's possible, the word see means if we've seen see which means it is and possible means possible si se perceived if it's possible. So how would you say in French? I would like that if it's possible, you will die. So last season Perceived City possible. If it's possible, I would like it in green Sisi, possibly Levante on there. Si se posse blur. You live or die on there. I would like the same thing again if it's possible. Judy Hi, on Call a member shows disip received shriveled raison. Call a membership. Another are reduced. If it's possible. Uncle and you, The Home City perceived unca Judah home seasick receiver. So in this lesson, we've had lamb M shows, meaning the same thing. La Meme shows clearly the same thing is him. Lambing shows Cain the same thing as her lemon shows come War the same thing as me lambing shows Kubu the same thing as you love him. Shows appear the same thing as Pierre Uncles, which means another. If you're talking about the same type or again an auto or you know tha means another, we're talking about a different type. Onda interesting. The phrase cc placebo, which means, if it's possible, sees a possible 91. 3 Minute French Lesson 34f: it's time now to practice what we've learned in this lesson. Now the literal translation off Jamelle isn't actually I've hurt my If you were to translate J mild word for word, it would mean I have pain at J. I have mile means pain and, uh, is at Jamelle. Uh, I have pain at and you can put any body part on the end of this to say where it hurts. However, one thing to remember which is different to English is that in French, You don't say I've hurt my head, but rather I've heard the head and this is the same for any body part. So Jamelle are let it means I've hurt my head literally. I have pain at the head, Jamelle a lot. Remember, however, that when our is put together with glue, it becomes old. Similarly, if our is put together with lay, it becomes all aux So Jamelle oni means I've hurt my nose because the word for nose in French is masculine loony. Literally. So you would say I've broken the leg in French instead of saying I have broken my leg on the word for leg is LA John. So you would say you Masri Castle, a genre Jamesy.
