Project Description

Write Your First Business Case

I. To practice you must use a real life project. so first step would be for you to identify a business idea. If you have a

good idea your project is 50% done. (est. 5’ - 10’)

II. Next, prepare yourself. Answer to these questions? (est. 10’ - 15’) 1. How would a good business case look?
2. What functions would this business case fulfill?
3. What are the compulsory elements of a business case?

4. What marketing elements should I include.
If you did this, you already have a plan. You know how you are going to do your business case.

III. Next step would be to start researching. List what you want to research, and use the methods presented to conduct research. (est. 15’ - 45’)

IV. Now, make sure that your business case is aligned with strategical objective and responds to the requirements of the decision maker. How did you do this. (est. 5’ - 10’)

V. Lastly, prepare your business case using the recommended principles and guidelines. (est. 45’ - 90’)

VI. Optionally, share with your colleagues for comments (as a Google Document) or send it to me for advice. VII. Congratulations, now you are able to build a business case!
