This is something that I've done extensively in the past. In fact, there's a good chance that if you've been following my courses for almost any interval of time, that you have been offered to take any one of my courses for free. This works really well because you can actually promote this lead magnet within your own courses. Maybe you could have a lecture at the end of the course briefly promoting this particular lead magnet. This is so powerful because students who love your courses are going toe. Want mawr of your content? It just so happens that this key demographic, the students who are already in your courses, they are the absolute perfect email subscriber because they have already proven that they love your stuff. So they're probably going to be more than willing to trade their email address for a future course of yours for free. They are also, in my opinion, statistically likely to love your email content, so they're going to really enjoy your newsletter. So this is really a win win for a call to action on your lead capture page, you could say something like this. New subscribers get their next course for 100% 0 cost, plus access to my awesome email newsletter. Or maybe stop paying full price for my courses. For a limited time, you can snag any of my courses for absolutely zero cost simply by subscribing. This is lead magnet idea number one, the two for one method, which is aptly titled because offering something that your students have already proven to enjoy can be best defined as a two for one. And I really think that your audience will love this. The second lead magnet idea is something I call the university method. The university method is all about offering a collection of free courses, if possible, a massive collection of free courses. This could be accomplished a few different ways. Perhaps you have your own collection of courses that you could give away. This will make your offer seem even more enticing and valuable, making it harder to pass up. It's also possible to collect third party courses that you have arranged to give away for free. So maybe you have friends or colleagues who have their own courses and would be willing to provide some free coupons for the cost. A final option is to simply invest some time in order to find courses that are already free . So maybe you can make a list of the top 10 email marketing courses, for example, that are free. This would make a great gift, and the convenience of organized information is what's really valuable in this case, even if the courses are already free. Not only is this going to allow you to develop massive rapport with your students and new subscribers, but you're also going to make it so your subscribers remember you for a lifetime in the event that your client likes your style. The authority method is all about promoting a webinar. You must realize by now that a webinar is arguably one of the best methods to build massive authority, and it's also a great way to sell anything that you want more courses or a coaching program . Or maybe you want to sell a high ticket affiliate, offer all of these air easily accomplish a ble via a webinar, and you really have two choices. You could either run live webinars or you could schedule automated webinars. I personally think that automated webinars are actually better these days because their software out there, such as ever webinar or stealth seminar, that allow you to run really, really cool automated webinars to the point where your audience would never know if it was life or automated. There's also other freeways. You can run live webinars, such as through blab or Google hang ups. So if you're using blab or Google hangouts, you could easily redirect your subscribers toe a page that shows more information about your upcoming event after they subscribe in the events that you're promoting an evergreen and automated webinar. Often times they're very registration page will integrate with your email marketing service , So really no lead capture page is necessary in this case, however, if you did wanna have a lead capture page, you could simply write something like this special online workshop where you'll learn how to x y Z so you could benefit tremendously by Tuesday of next week. The fifth lead magnet idea is something I call the audio method. The audio method is all about offering an audio recording of your course. This is absolutely perfect, because a lot of your students would probably love the ability to listen to your courses on the go or when they're cooking dinner when they're at the gym or even going for a walk. But it's too much of a hassle for them to accomplish that on their own. In other words, 99.99% of students are not going to know how to rip the audio from your course, so offer them the opportunity to simply download an audio recording of your course. This can be accomplished quite easily, depending upon what software you use to create your courses. If you encounter any tech trouble, simply give me a buzz, and I shall try my best to help you out. However, you can always use audacity when recording your courses, and I would bet you dollars to doughnuts. Whatever screen casting software you use has the ability to export audio. Another cool thing about having an audio version of your course is that It's another asset that you can sell so you can actually sell your course as an audio e book on a site called A C X that actually partners with Amazon. So this lead magnet is an asset in its own right, so it's definitely worthy of your time. And I suspect that your audience would love this On your leave Capture page, you could write something like this if you liked this course, then download the audio recordings an MP three format for 100% free. Or maybe would you rather listen along to this course? Then download the audio recordings for absolutely zero cost so you can listen on the go. This was lead magnet idea number five, the audio method, which is one of the most practical and, I believe, one of the most highly desired methods to attract leads who love your content as always. Lead Bait Idea # 06: the automated coaching method, The sixth will need a magnet idea. It's something I call the auto mated coaching method. The automated coaching method is all about offering a free email course or an email coaching program. So, really, what is this? This is when you simply create an email auto responders sequence that provides massive value for anywhere from seven days up to 21 days. So on Day one, you could teach about the seven biggest mistakes that your end users make. On Day two. You could write about the resource Is that your end users need in order to be successful in what ever niche that you're teaching. On Day three, you could give the most important tip that you ever learned on your topic, and so on and so on. The best part about this method is that it's 100% hands off, so you could even prompt your end users to click in your email sequence so you can actually use it to sell stuff. In other words, you can easily monetize as an affiliate or even prompt your readers to contact you for additional coaching. If that's something that you offer, I personally use a Weber to automate email sequences such as this because it's so easy to use a Weber in my experience, however, as you know, the majority of email auto responders services will easily allow you to set up a simple automated seven day follow up sequence. So on your lead capture page, you could simply write something like this. Give me just seven days and you'll effortlessly x y Z 100% guaranteed $197 Value yours for free or maybe free seven day course shows exactly how to build a beautiful website by next Tuesday, even if you don't have a host or know what a domain is. This was lead magnet Idea number six, the automated coaching method, which is one of those methods that shall be choir effort on your behalf at first because you'll have to write the seven day coaching email sequence. But it can pay off in spades if you play your cards right, because it's also something that has a high perceived value, and you can also essentially promote anything that you want during this automated email sequence. Number seven is something I call the book Worm Method, the book where method is all about offering full transcripts of your course. This one method is probably one that your end users are absolutely going toe love you, for It can also pay off in spades in ways that might not be so obvious at first. First of all, if you have transcripts of your course, there's no reason why you can't publish that transcript as a book on Amazon on nook or even the Apple Bookstore. So once you have the transcripts of your course, not only is that an awesome lead magnet, but it's also a great asset that you can sell in its own right. I did want to mention in full transparency that if you publish an e book on Amazon Kindle and you enroll in K d. P Select, then I believe you're not allowed to publish that e book elsewhere. But if you do not publishing KDP select, in my opinion, you're perfectly allowed to do this. If you're at all worried, simply contact the Amazon Kindle support. I have contacted Amazon Kindle support for a bunch of stuff over the years, and they're very cool and they get back to you fast. This was lead magnet idea number seven, the bookworm method, which is basically a really powerful and highly in demand lead magnet that can actually serve as its own asset. Lead Bait Idea # 08: the cheater method. Lead magnet Idea Number eight. It's something I call the cheater method. The cheater method is all about offering a condensed version of your course or otherwise, just a checklist of the most important features, or even just a table of contents of sorts. Because ask yourself this one question. Have you ever enrolled in a course? And for whatever reason, you just never finish it. If that's the case, then you realize how powerful and valuable the convincing off information is because let's face it, these days, time is at a premium. This lead magnet essentially saves your students and subscribers time, which, as you agree, is priceless. So when you're lead capture page, you could write something like this. Download a handy dandy checklist cheat sheet of this course so you can absorb the course content in less than 10 minutes. Or maybe if you're enjoying the course, then download this handy one page cheat sheet so you can follow along and double your learning. This was lead magnet Idea number eight, the cheater method, which is indeed a worthy method to allow your students to cheat. Of course, they're not going to be cheating and an unethical manner. The reality is that you can offer anything you want in the form of a discount. There's a very important reason why this lead magnet is so powerful. That is easy to overlook because the one new once is that if you're lead subscribes for this offer, then you can be rest assured that they are a die hard fan of yours and that they actually want what you have. Moreover, they are statistically likely to buy something immediately after opting in, in my opinion, because these students are traditionally not freebie seekers because they're interested in getting a discounted coupon, which kind of indicates that they are willing to break open their wallets so you might get less subscribers with a lead magnet like this. But in my opinion, they're probably going to be buyers Or at least they will be more likely to be buyers. And I think you would agree that that's a fair statement. So when you lead Capture Page, you could write something like this. Stop paying full price for my courses. New subscribers get 50% off on all of my courses for a limited time. Or maybe as a thank you for being my student. I want to save you some cash, subscribe to my newsletter and snagged 50% coupons for all of my course is a $197 value yours absolutely free. This was lead magnet idea number nine, the direct to sail method, which is really offering something that, in my opinion, will get less subscribers. The master secret method is all about offering either an extra lecture, an extra chapter or a final conclusion that may have not been in your course. So, really, maybe you could simply create an extra lecture or two or otherwise draw a concluding thesis of sorts that will kind of put everything together. Of course, you shouldn't really try to short change your students by having an incomplete course. However, maybe you could put together an extra lecture or otherwise at a bonus, a bonus theory, a bonus case study or something that adds extra value to your existing curriculum. So on your lead capture page, you could write something like this. Did you love this course? Then subscribe now to get a bonus lecture not included in the original course? Or maybe if you had fun taking this course, then subscribe so you can get access to the missing lecture Onley available to my email subscribers. And it's priceless, since it's not available anywhere else. This was lead magnet Idea number 10 the master secret method, which is basically offering your readers an exclusive bonus or secrets module that's not available in the original course. This evokes a powerful fear of loss and massive curiosity because humans, by inherit nature, want things that they don't know about and things that they don't have. As you well know. How To Get Students To View Your Lead Capture Page?: how to get readers to visit your lead Capture P. If you're an online instructor, there's a 1,000,000 different ways you can get people to visit your lead capture page. One way is to simply state at the beginning of every course that you have bonuses for new email subscribers. This way, you literally turn every course you ever publish in tow a list building asset, and there's a few different ways you can do this. So maybe you prominently name your blawg at the beginning of every course. Or you could have a special lecture at the very end of your course, prominently promoting a cool lead magnet with instructions on how to redeem the magnet. Another thing I would advise that you do is on your blawg promote the heck out of your lead magnets. I, for example, have an ample advertisement on pretty much every page, promoting several of my lead capture pages all over my block. I use a free service called Add this dot com tohave a welcome bar at the top of my website , promoting one lead capture page that I haven't exit intent pop up for everyone who ever visits my website and then they move their most to the top of my page. They're going to see an exit intense pop up, promoting a totally different lead to capture Page. Another thing I do is after every block post. I have a list off all of my lead magnets. I also promote my lead capture page in the navigational menu of my block and in my about page. So really, my blawg is liberally strewn with opportunities for my readers to join my email list. Another really cool tip And this works if you are a you to me publisher. Always use your bonus lecture If you publish on you to me, you are allowed to promote your lead Capture page in your you to me Bonus lecture So you can actually have a new lead magnet inside each course that you ever published right in your bonus lecture on you to me. So imagine if you have 10 different courses Maybe you could split test 10 different lead magnets to see which one gets the most clicks and options split. Testing is so important. I've had so many of my students ask me, Mike, what lead magnet is going toe work better or what? Lead capture pages going toe work better. Always remember that my opinion and your opinion doesn't mean anything. The only thing that you'll know for a fact is what your audience does. So split test, maybe for one month you have one lead magnet. Then the next month you have another lead magnet and see which one gets mawr subscribers. I myself, I have found that giving away free coupons two new subscribers works very, very well because students of mine who enjoy my content are going to want to join my list. And they're also going to want to free or discounted coupons contrary early. If people don't like my course, then they're not going toe. Want a free coupon, right? Which is a good thing, because if they don't like my course that I don't really want them on my email list. However, in the future, I believe I'm going to start focusing more on just giving away 50% off coupons on all of my courses, instead of offering just free coupons at this point in time, what I'm doing as I literally have ah, bonus lecture at the very end of my course, that promotes 10 difference lead magnets. So I have a lead magnet showing my 10 favorite traffic methods. I have a cheat sheet that shows a process for creating lots of online courses. I have a report that shows how to automate social media content. I have 10 different list building methods. I have a report that shows how to write really cool marketing emails. What I did was compiled all of this information until one bonus lecture. Also, remember to promote your lead capture page everywhere. If you have a budget, consider using being Facebook or Google Pay per click if you go. That wrote, make sure to search for free coupons because, personally, I have found massive pay per click vouchers and coupons in the past. So if you ever market yourself on Google, Facebook or being search and try to find some free pay per click coupons, so the point of me ranting about all of this is that you have options. My advice is to figure out which two or three lead magnets, seen the coolest and then split, test them to see which ones your audience loves the most, because, above all, never forget this our opinions don't mean anything. Lead the magnets while at the same time figuring out exactly what your subscribers want. I'm going to wrap this course up with my fishing analogy because I love to go fishing. Almost as much as I love teaching, I always say that attracting email subscribers is like going fishing. You can always catch more fish if you have different hooks in the water. Only this time we're not talking about going fishing for a big, fat, juicy trumped. Instead, we're talking about your students and getting them to join your email list. So that's how you can go forward.
