Anyone can apply to teach on Skillshare and all applications are reviewed against our Class and Teacher Guidelines. However, to ensure the highest quality of classes for our students, we do not accept all applications to become a teacher on Skillshare.
There are many easy, low-cost tools to create your own Skillshare class, including those recommend in the Teacher Help Center. At minimum, you’ll need equipment to record video and audio for your video lessons.
All Skillshare classes have a minimum of 45 minutes of video content, broken into 4-9 minute videos. A written guide accompanying your videos and walk students through your project is also highly recommended, though not mandatory.
Every class has a project, to give students a real world application of the skill you are teaching. Every student’s project should be unique, but teachers should also provide a general set of guidelines to help students through the project.
We allow a wide variety of classes that fall in over twenty categories, including Advertising, Business, Design, Fashion, Film, Food & Drink, Photography, Publishing, Technology, Television, and Writing.
