Here is my work for the Valentines Challenge.

It is based upon a design that I recently entered into the Spoonflower weekly challenge which was to design a Chinese Paper Cutting inspired design using only red and white.  My original sketch was of a butterfly whose wings were made of floral love hearts, sadly in my haste to tidy up my office I have thrown out the sketch so I can't post it up here.

My design was all created in illustrator using the mouse and brush tool which I am enjoying using as I have not really used it too much before.

I added shadowing to the design for the card to add depth.  The text has been created using the brush tool to keep it in line with the overall design.
