“The best value out of this class is: 1) The short Q&A with the teacher 2) Getting yourself to actually do a test your self 3) Great examples of how some companies targeted their audience If you take this class, definitely apply the lean startup methodologies to this class in tandem. This class makes you think and brainstorm, and its definitely not a cookie cutter class. You don't get much feedback at all on what you're doing so you don't know if what you're doing is right. But on the upside.. you started at least. The downsides of this class are: 1) The feedback from other entrepreneurs on your project is hard to get.. there is no real incentive. I commented on every single one giving feedback or attempting an interaction ( over 50 ), and only had 3 people do that to mine, and usually only out of curiosity, did they look into mine. 2) The teachers don't look or comment on the projects ( understandably so .. it takes alot of time )”

“Marketing via the web and getting people to sign up & share your website, app, product, etc is difficult and an endlessly deep topic. I thought this class was a great place to start for beginners but also a good refresher course + strategy/tactic re-assessment for those with some experience. Good class & definitely worth the nominal fee. Thanks.”

“If you've been a fan of Vinicius' blog and his widely-referenced blog post on how to get your first 1,000 users, you'll love this class. The opening video lessons co-taught by Carbonmade-founder Spencer Fry are easily worth taking the class even if you do nothing else. I was struck by how Vinicius and Spencer applied systematized experimentation and learning to getting users. Putting a laser focus on trying to figure out what problem your startup solves for customers, and building your product experience around what appeals to customers, was an important takeaway I took from this class. If you're a startup founder (especially one with under 1,000 users), take this class and take advantage of video office hours and getting helpful feedback on your startup directly from two experts. ”
