You can tell he has put a great amount of thought and research into this course and you would be hard pressed to find someone with more expertise on the subject matter. “This is the perfect class for someone interested in learning the best way to build a financial model for a startup. Taylor Davidson takes you step by step from first principles and provides you a big example to show you where you should end up. Taylor also comprehensively pieces together the different angles you should consider when building a financial model. Usually skillshare classes leave me with one or two statements that are exceptionally insightful (i.e. would save me time and/or money from something I wouldn't have thought of). I wrote down at least 6 or 7 those. Definitely take a class from Taylor Davidson as his passion and knowledge for the subject are really apparent. ”

“Let me start by saying that I left Taylor's class with a big smile in my face. Financial Modeling is one of those key subjects for an entrepreneur. For a creative entrepreneur, it can be very daunting. But after Taylor's class, you feel tremendously empowered. He knows his subject, has amazing experience; but most importantly, Taylor has the patience to teach you the basics. He has a true gift and does what he loves, because you can tell it from the way he gives his class. I strongly encourage any entrepreneur to take it. He will merge your right and left brain. Yes, it is actually possible! And the best part, he will do it in an interactive way. ”

“Absolutely worth it. Taylor Davidson knows his stuff. He led a well-paced class, was a fountain of information and stayed late until everyone asked every question they had for him. People throw the word "passion" around too loosely in my opinion, but it certainly applies in this case-- Taylor is passionate about finance, about thinking through your idea, about helping people learn. His enthusiasm was contagious and everyone seemed to leave with knowledge in their heads and a smile on their face. People with different skill levels all got something from the class. I highly recommend Taylor and I look forward to taking more of his classes when he offers them in the future. ”

“Taylor hammers out the building blocks and fundamentals on how to build your own financial model. He's got real world examples and a base template relevant for typical startups (ecommerce, freemium, subscription, content based etc). Content is accessible and appropriate for all levels (just starting out to those who are prepping for raising a round). His material is clear, straightforward and simple (even when the subject matter is complex). As a teacher, he is genuinely interested in making sure attendees get what they needed and stuck around for an extra 30 mins after class to answer questions one on one. Highly recommended.”

Caveat: People should be aware that this is a very introductory class to financial modelling, and due to time constraints only the basics can be covered. It is also geared specifically towards entrepreneurs of tech start-ups, as oppose to other types of start-ups. ”

“This is a great class about a great model. I recommend trying to use the model before the class (Taylor emails it to you a couple of days ahead) so you can ask him good questions in class. If you don't know anything about financial modeling this is a great intro, and even if you do it is a nice reminder and could be that extra push you need to get cranking on the financial model for your new startup.”
