1. Do your research! Think about what you want people to know about where you live. Interview people, visit your favorite brunch spots, check out your local museum. Come up with a design direction that you’d like to pursue. This is your opportunity to give your hometown the credit it deserves, make it proud.

2. Define your audience. Figure out who this logo is meant to resonate with and how you'll have that impact. For example, people from your city? Tourists? Both?

3. Context. Develop your logo ideas based on what you love most about your 'hood. write down the thinking behind the 3-5 ideas you're excited to share. Feel free to map out your ideas using words or images.

1. Get Feedback. Ask peers (friends, family, fellow students!) for feedback on your work.

2. Iterate. Take into consideration the feedback that you’ve received from your peers. What can you do to make your design function and communicate better? Are you happy with your design?

3. Define the Narrative. Write up a few sentences to on your logo idea - how’d you get there? What should we know about your hometown?
