“For me, the most valuable takeaway from this class was learning that the majority of quality design relies on having a thorough design process. He's essentially left me with a formula that can be used to successfully model any type of website. In addition, Nicolae did a great job of breaking down design into form, function, and content and describing the different jobs that could be typical to each theme. It's easy to think that because one can't draw, or illustrate well, he can't be a great designer. Nicolae showed that this was not true. Looking forward to other classes from this teacher.”

“Nicolae's course struck a great balance, in that it had a wide scope and information that was presented in general terms, but there was also enough detail to help us really understand how designers think, what decisions they have to make, and why those decisions can be difficult. The class was well organized -- Nicolae provided an outline of where we were headed at the start of the class, the path made sense, and he stuck to it. Nicolae is a nice, extremely smart guy, and you can tell he loves what he does. Highly recommend taking a course with him. ”

“Nicolae is passionate and knowledgeable, you will really learn how design is created, its structural elements, and how to think like a designer and also relate to designers. Its a great way to quickly understand concepts for non-desigers, and I highly recommend attending if you want to improve your entire design process from inception to institution, especially for websites.”

“Nicolae is enthusiastic, infinitely patient, and very generous with his time--definite pluses if you're learning HTML and CSS. Also, he thought carefully about the scope of the class (what we would cover, in what order, what we could gloss over) and was well-prepared. He created helpful videos and was forthcoming with lots of additional resources so that we could make the most of the course. I came away from the class with exactly what was promised: the knowledge to go off and build a fully working website.”

“This was a great introduction to HTML and CSS - Nicolae was friendly and straightforward - explained things in plain English and walked through concepts at a steady enough pace to understand. I didn't come out knowing it back to front but I did have enough information to start practicing it on my own and with more confidence! He provided detailed notes and extra educational videos which were great.”

“I entered the class as a student with no prior background or experience in the subject. I left the class feeling confident that I had the tools to create my own website and even master the material with the right amount of practice. Nicolae conveyed the material clearly and in an organized fashion to include supporting materials (slides and tutorials) which helped in understanding and retaining the information. I would definitely take other courses offered by Nicolae. ”

“Not only is Nicolae personable, he's generous to a fault with both information and his time. If he charged twice as much for the class, it would still be a major bargain. The company that I host with, provides drag and drop customizable templates and even before the class was done, I was able to go into the code and make changes to the template to create the look I wanted. If you're considering taking an intro HTML class, you couldn't do better with Nicolae. I hope he adds a 201 HTML class!”

“Nicolae is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about what he does! He was very prepared for each class, communicative between sessions (he sent tons of resources), and flexible - he scheduled an optional fourth session for anyone who wanted to come and ask him questions. Recommend!”

“I took Nicolae's HTML/CSS class and came away with so much knowledge and so many useful tips. Before taking the course, i had read a few books and taken some online tutorials, so I was worried I wouldn't learn much new. I was wrong. It was like a front-end bootcamp course, and I came away with so much more knowledge and a better handle on all the concepts. I would highly recommend taking a class with Nicolae. He's a great teacher and is very willing to help outside of class. He also moves fairly quickly through the material and is able to cover a lot in a short amount of time, which I think definitely makes it worth the cost. ”
