Ken Williams was born and raised in the Southwest, and is familiar with secrets, lies and religious suffering - all great fodder for narrative essays and memoirs. His colorful past allowed him to channel his larger than life female-dominated family, friends, church members and teachers into memorable roles and performances on stage and screen. One Christmas he received a locked diary and his life forever changed.

He transcribed what he heard and witnessed, obvious and subtle quips and slights between family. He applied what he learned as actor to make sense of his family dynamics. The best acting is invisible. The best writing develops during the revision process.
