Welcome to Week 1 of Author Your Life with Goal-Setting! This week we'll dive right in to the power of knowing what you want.

All actions we take should bring us closer to where we want to be, but sometimes we find our actions are actually re-actions to something we were brought up with or inherited. Part of our personal responsibility in creating our legacy is to make sure we are listening to accurate information, and actively choosing to live, what we’ll call, above the line. To do so, we’ll need to differentiate between reactive listening and creative choice listening

2. Optional: If you need some more inspiration before you write your vision, create a visual. Make a vision board through powerpoint, pinterest, etc., or the good old fashioned way with cut out images that stand out to you and that you know you want to incorporate into your future. Check out some examples of vision boards from igolu leaders.
This week we’ll walk through how to set a vision and how to use that vision as a framework for setting your goals. Remember, goals are *not* wishes and wants! They’re the permissions you give yourself to authoritatively fill in the blanks of your vision.
