Watch the 4 video lectures above (Installing Rails, Creating a New App, Adding Pages and Adding Bootstrap). Go through the videos at your own pace to get set up with the skeleton app.

2. Start Your Project

After watching the videos and creating your application, go to the student projects section and click “Start Your Project”. Post a link to your project’s GitHub and Heroku page so that we can follow your project.

3. Cover the Basics with Codecademy (optional)

Once you've added your project in step 2 above, head over to the Ruby track on Codecademy and complete sections 1 and 2 (Introduction to Ruby and Control Flow in Ruby). While this optional, it's highly recommended and will allow you to make faster progress in this class and in life.
