“Jake is passionate about infographic design, which makes him an excellent instructor and resource. I was blown away at how many tools I came away with after the class! Jake is patient and a good communicator of the information, but you should open Illustrator and Excel at least once in your life to really get the most out of this class. I really appreciated that he put a lot of time into writing out detailed instructions that he emailed out ahead of time, so that everyone came to class prepared and we didn't have to spend time getting set up. He rolled through the material very quickly, which meant we covered a ton in just two hours! I walked out of the class with a solid understanding of how to use GIS, download data sets and to create my own maps.”

“I am a trained graphic designer and have a really good technical knowledge. To be honest I was a bit skeptical of what I woud learn. The class was engaging the whole way through, there was never a point where I was bored. There was a solid introduction with some references to Tufte's work, and a good overview of the tools available. I'll definitely stay informed on the upcoming classes.”

Class went super fast (for good reason - lots of awesome info in a short time!) so heartily recommend you familiarize yourself and play around with any pre-class preparation materials he sends you before the class.”
