“I would highly recommend taking a public speaking (or any class for that matter) with Holley Murchison. She is a natural teacher and packed an impressive amount of learning opportunities into this 2 hour class. We first learned public speaking tips from her personal experience (which is extensive) and research. We then got to put it into action with a each person giving a presentation to the class. The other class members were great, too. Everyone was very present and supportive. ”

From the taking deep breaths and stopping yourself once you feel yourself stuttering or using words like "umm" are very hlepful. After watching myself on video that Ms. Murchison taped of my mini 2 minute speech I felt a bit more confident that I can use the skills learned in my future endeavors.”

“This class was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who has stage fright or any anxiety about public speaking!!! I have to be the world's shyest person. I get nervous when I am speaking publicly, to executives at my job or to a group of more than a few people. Holley really laid out some guidelines to keep you grounded when preparing yourself for that dreaded presentation or meeting with senior management. She kept it light and comical but was still able to effectively deliver a ton of valuable information in a relatively short period of time. I think one of the best parts of the class was when we were able to actually put what we learned to the test and prepare in groups to deliver our own individual speeches. First off, it forced you to work with complete strangers and come up with the best way to deliver your intended message. Like she said, we had to get "comfortable with being uncomfortable." Next, she recorded our speeches and and provided on the spot critiques and guidance. Lastly, we were provided with copies of the video so we could critique ourselves. You often wonder if you are going to get your money's worth when you take classes, but I must say, I got my money's worth and then some. I walked away with far more than I had expected to get and I can't wait for Holley's next class!!!!”

“Anyone interested in taking this course is obviously no pro at speaking before lots of people so a smaller class helps make embarrassing yourself a lot less painful. Watching Holley teach the course is almost a lesson within itself, as she employs each of her tips in her own speech and delivery. I left the course saying a lot less umms and with a couple of new comrades. Now if only I can remember to BREATHE when giving a speech... Great class, great teacher. Most importantly, the environment was safe and comfortable, which is key for something as daunting as public speaking.
