As a lawyer, I have over 12 years' experience representing entrepreneurs and growing businesses, and I was trained at some of the world's best law firms, including Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP and Manatt Phelps Phillips LLP.

After practicing law at large firms for 7 years, left to spend two years at the Los Angeles start-up Audiolife.com as its General Counsel and VP Business Development. In 2009, I started my own company, Connected Creatives Inc., where I funded, built and launched Music180.com in 2010.

I co-founded my current law firm Heimann Galen LLP in 2012, to provide innovative and practical business and legal affairs for entertainment and technology companies and entrepreneurs. My partner and I represent companies such as Fullscreen, Wittlebee, Citrusbyte, Lean LA, Column Five Media and Wiredrive, as well as many entrepreneurs and professionals in the technology/internet and entertainment sectors.

I earned my B.A. cum laude in 1996 from UCLA, and my J.D. in 2000 from USC Law School, where I was a law journal staff member. I am a published author and frequent speaker/panelist, having been featured in Los Angeles Magazine, the Daily Journal, ASCAP Expo, Miami Music Festival, UCLA, Lean LA and many other events and publications. I was voted a Rising Star lawyer by my peers for 7 of the last 9 years in Super Lawyers magazine.
