In college, my concentration of study was consumer behavior. My work in psychology concentrated on stimulus judgment/processing, attitudinal formation/change, decision making, and motivation. In addition to understanding customers, I have a pretty good fundamental understanding of people and what makes us tick.

More importantly, with a four year career as a professional poker player, I essentially made a living off of lie detection. I describe poker as storytelling. My job was to process extreme amounts of information very quickly (< 2 seconds on average) and figure out whether my opponent's story made sense. I was pretty damn good at it.

When I retired from poker, I was ranked in the top 20 cash game players online, been successful at the highest limits and toughest games in the world, and had individually coached over 100 players on advanced strategy at rates reaching $475/hr.
