Carla has a BS degree in Nutritional Sciences as well as a certification as a Nutritional Therapist. Her business, Wise Roots Nutrition, is located in San Francisco. She sees clients with a wide variety of health concerns, but specializes in skin conditions, pregnancy and weight loss.

She has has worked in the the conventional nutrition field working in hospitals, teaching health preventive classes for community run nutrition programs, and worked at major weight loss companies consulting clients

She is an advocate of focusing on a whole foods diet for nourishment but also believes that with a modern lifestyle, most need to supplement with certain key nutrients that are not being obtained from our food in the amounts that we need.
