“I enjoyed the class, very useful information, but I think it would be a bit stronger if Ari provided detailed steps to using the recommended tools (for example with followup.cc). I feel like the class was geared toward people who are already familiar with the websites/apps recommended. I would have liked a bit more information, maybe some visuals in class to explain these tools in more depth. Also, I think it would be nice to engage the students more with each other and with Ari, maybe share some personal experiences. For me, part of attending a class through skillshare is to network and learn from other students' experiences as well. Otherwise, I enjoyed and appreciated the class. Thanks Ari!”

“There are tons of productivity tips out there: sure. But what makes Ari's advice so interesting is his obsession with testing and tracking time saving & life improving tricks on himself. It's rare to meet someone who has not only "tried it all," but has real data to back up his personal advice. As someone who is in technology and up on the latest & greatest tools, I didn't learn about new services, necessarily. However I did learn about new ways to use services that I'm already familiar with - which sometimes makes all the difference. ”

“Really eye opening class taught by a great teacher. Ari takes you through some really interesting suggestions and technology that's out there (most of which is free) to make your life easier and more efficient. He also addresses the technolgy of how your brain processes information as well as some truly eye opening ways to be healthy (that don't include being a gym rat, starving yourself, or chaining yourself to a treadmill everyday for 7 hours). This isn't just a two hour investment to simply be more organized..but rather how to use free technology that's out there to get more done to have more time to do what you *really* want to do. Highly recommend. It is worth it.”

“I liked that Ari emailed everyone a list of all the resources he mentioned in class. It allows you to just listen and not take notes. My main issue with the class, however, is that all the suggestions are apps & websites which, for the most part, have fees and/or take time to setup properly. If you're trying to make extra time to do something profitable, or if you're willing to spend money to gain extra time then these resources are great. If doing things like hiring a virtual personal assistant, for example, isn't in your budget then these resources may not be for you. Personally, I felt like I was already familiar with many of the resources and hadn't found that they met my needs. If you aren't familiar with a lot of productivity apps then this class is a great introduction. If you are, this might be a repeat of things you already know and have tried.”

“Very valuable class, on two main levels: 1) There is a TON of actionable techniques, resources, and tools, for anyone looking to simplify/minimalize their lives, and 2) being there in person, you really get a sense of Ari's philosophy in how to think about this stuff in real world situations. If I had just seen the materials without hearing Ari speak to them and how he thinks about/applies them, I would not have understood his philosophy completely: you really have to be aggressive in offloading non-essential things from your own tasks & attention. There is always opportunity to reduce your involvement in trivial things. This allows you to regain focus and creativity. Many invaluable takeaways.”

“I really enjoyed the class, which was in a very welcoming environment with lots of great pieces of information to “de-stress”. Nice flow to the class, listing those tools that are greatest at making life less cluttered and why. Telling everyone up front that the email was being sent with all the detail makes it that much easier to pay attention, so nothing is missed. The follow-up email was really beneficial, it not only allowed you to sit back and enjoy the class, but is a great reference tool to go back to. I found it to be informative and interesting. I was surprised to learn the amount of tools available that I would have otherwise never known existed! I would have never used them if I found them myself. I’m looking forward to exploring some of them to find ones that work well for me and can assist me in being more efficient and organized. I liked the ideas and I believe that I can incorporate a few of them in my daily life.”

Hope you can write fast (or in the case of most Skillshare participants, type fast on that iPad) because you will leave with no less than two dozen examples of websites, applications, books and tips for incorporating "less doing" into your daily routines. Granted, I will need to dedicate a few hours of "doing" to research all of the examples Ari provided, but I'm sure it will be well worth it in the end. Ari doesn't just teach concepts, he practices them and can speak from experience.
