“This is one of the best classes I've ever taken (and I have a BA). I love the way Andrew has constructed the lessons so that even in the first week, students can dive right in and start making real progress. I'm a big technology person and I find it easy to pick up software, so if you're like me, I'd still highly recommend taking this class. It's a great way to put aside some time and really learn about great software and he provides so many more tips and tricks that I may not have found out about on my own. It's the ideal course for any skill level. The videos and projects that Andrew created for this course are perfect and an optimal way to really learn and have actual project material to show. It was great to see how much progress can be made in just a few weeks. I'd highly recommend this course and any others that Andrew plans to teach!”

“Andrew was a very knowledgable, responsive, and inspiring instructor and I really enjoyed the class. I think the video lessons are easy enough to follow along with.. I found it was best to watch them on my ipad while mirroring his actions on my laptop. The project was not only do-able for beginners but also fun. Really enjoyed it. Only wish I could afford to buy the real license of Final Cut Pro! ALso, I would have loved to have participated in the livestream Q&A sessions but unfortunately they were not conducive to CET time. I have one suggestion - maybe allow people to submit questions ahead of time and that way I can watch the answers later on... Anyway, thanks Andrew! ”

“This class was really good in that Andrew does a great job of providing tutorials that are very clear and easy to put into practice. The community aspect is phenomenal because you have a group of about 40+ participants that are all creating videos from footage and tutorials that are available to all equally, so the mere exposure to that man people's "takes" on the assignment is irreplaceable.”

“The skills I learned from Andrew removed hours from my workflow, allowing me to be more creative during my edits. He covered much more than I expected. Andrew focused as promised on the how and why one would cut a certain way. He proved his skills by showing a final project of what the class will be working on, showed us the interface of the application we used from multiple aspects and then finally let us loose on recently filmed footage he provided. Andrew did not just go over theory, but the practical reasons as to why story telling is important. He made story telling much easier by diving into the application and showing its usage. He showed the menu interface, the hot keys, even pointed us to sites that would allow deeper diving. Best of all, every student was let free to use the footage as they desired, he encouraged honest and creative feedback - He addressed all the students questions, and offered pro advice and kudos when needed. He was personable, friendly and professional. ”

His organization and pacing were superb and we were able to attain an impressive level of proficiency with FCPX in three short weeks. Andrew presented the information in a clear, straightforward and logical manner, and during the livestreams proved to be a very approachable, knowledgeable and down-to-earth instructor. He made himself very available during the course, even outside his livestream "office hours." My understanding of and facility with Final Cut Pro X grew enormously through this class, as did my understanding of visual storytelling in general. Highly recommended!”

“This was a great experience - not only were the videos thorough to get you up and running but Andrew made himself available and actually followed through and gave feedback (something that didn't happen in the previous class although there over a hundred projects or more and it was free.) This class is a bargain for anyone interested in test driving Final Cut Pro X or trying out editing. Hightly recommended.”

“Andrew is a clear, strong, and caring teacher. I like his patience and his sense of humor. We need more Gormley (as in Motion class). My most serious concern is the way Skillshare sets up its webpages - so hard to find where I'm supposed to go to get back to my class - your mixing info about Skillshare and signups with the actual class. Your web pages should be as CLEAR as Gormley's instruction. Help the user navigate directly to the class he/she is taking. Look at how Lynda does it, for example. You have a neat idea emerging. Keep it up. John ”
