We'll discuss our favorite apps and how they work, as well as how to tweak the camera and options to get what you want. Students will experiment and upload images to create an online group gallery, exploring the iPhone's inherent strengths and limitations. Who says you need a big chunky DSLR to get great pictures?

Kathleen Rugh is a photographer and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Her artwork centers around the psychological effects of the spaces we inhabit. Through repetitive and careful observations she uses the film and photographic medium to gain a deeper awareness of the places that easily get overlooked in our daily routine.
Kathleen received an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University and a BFA from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has had her film and photographic work exhibited in galleries and screenings internationally and throughout the US. She has taught photography and film classes at Emerson College, Ithaca College, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, PhotoManhattan and the Denver Darkroom.
