This course will cover the key concepts in the basics of web analytics in the ecommerce arena. We will discuss what it takes to turn data into information, and then use that information to tell a story. I will also work with you on identifying KPIs (key performance indicators), avoiding common pitfalls, tools and platforms in the market today, and presenting your findings to "non-numbers" people. Reporting formats and break-outs will be presented. You will finish this course with a foundation and understanding of the basics of analytics, and the first step in moving on your own to take deeper dives into web analytics for ecommerce. Students have no required materials other than an ability to take notes. Basic knowledge of email and online marketing a plus, intermediate excel skills are also recommended (to understand the reporting element)
