This is a hands-on introduction to Haml and Sass.
Haml is a way to make writing markup easier, faster, and less error prone. Sass is an interpreted form of CSS that allows you to add functions, variables, and 'mixins' to your CSS for increased speed and awesomeness.
We'll cover an introduction to Haml, Sass, and Compass (a framework often used with Sass). You will learn:
Do I need a laptop?
You might find it handy to bring a laptop to try things out on and to make sure you're setup properly. If you are bringing your laptop, have Sass and Haml installed (or at least have Ruby installed).
