Website building can seem like a daunting task. But it doesn't have to be.
Whether you are a student group, non-profit organization, a small business owner, or an individual, having a web presence in this day and age makes you that much more awesome. (but seriously, it makes business & career sense).
So why not come and learn how to build a website, from the ground up?! By the end of the class, you will have a website up and ready to go! That's a guarantee!
Materials required for class: a laptop, both PC or Mac is fine.
There are no prerequisites for this class. Any programming or previous web development experience is helpful but not required.
Proceeds from this course will be used to buy hosting for not-for-profit orgs in the bay area.
I am a graduate of UC Berkeley and an entrepreneur currently working on a technology start-up. I have been doing web design, analytics, and other geeky stuff for non-profit organizations for more than 6 years. Recently, I've worked at DoSomething.org, a web-based national organization dedicated to empowering young people to use the power of online to do good offline.
Side note: this class is inspired by George Weiner, CTO of DoSomething.org.
Fun fact about me: I was one of the top 50 finalists out of 80,000 applicants for the Charlie Sheen Social Media Internship.
