Note: A separate class may be offered if there is enough interest.
Join us this month for an Intro to Android Development session including everything from setting up your development environment to building your first app using Android best practices. This will be followed by a recap of two recent events: DroidCon Tunis and AnDevCon III.
This class is geared toward Android beginners and developers new to the platform. It will cover installing the SDK, making a hello world app, introduction to documentation, and a brief Java language overview. Goal: Walk away with a general understanding of the platform, be comfortable with your build environment, and know where to look for more information.

An Android device is not required for these sessions, but is suggested since the emulator can be painfully slow! Instruction will be conducted with IntelliJ, but Eclipse is the supported standard.
