Haml and sass are html and css preprocessors (respectively) that make writing html and css at least twice as fast and easy. If you do front end development and either have not used them or are just starting out with them, this class will be worth at least 5x it's value in your resulting workflow speed and happiness -- I promise.
The class will go over haml and sass in very high detail - the best and easiest way to use them, basics of syntax, and a deep dive into responsive design and advanced functionality and features, all the way to the bleeding edge (including pieces that can only be found in the prerelease). Each member of the class will also get access to beta test a framework that I have been working on for months that utilizes advanced haml and sass best practices and has been behind websites for some of the coolest organizations in the world.

Hey, I’m Jeff, and I took a very strange path to where I am now. I went to college with a music scholarship, graduated with a neuroscience degree, applied for jobs in graphic design, and ended up as a developer. I now do web dev full time at Carrot Creative, an awesome agency in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Because of the way my interests in how people work & graphic design fused with programming, front-end code and teaching are two things I really love.
Here are some other clues about me for anyone interested:
